Hi all,

Hope you had fun at the soft play pix, thinking about going over there Friday afternoon, taking DD to yoga in the morning, so will see how worn out she is.

DD had her first taster session at her new school yesterday, she can't wait to start, it's next door to her nursery and they go over there for their lunch everyday, so it's not like its going to be completely new to her and a lot of her nursery friends are also going there.

kelly our twins were kept together until they started at the juniors, by then they definitely needed time apart!

Got polling station duty tomorrow, not really looking forward to it, think its going to be manic. Good luck with the count pix.

I'm very late tonight. Had a bit of a disaster when I got home as well and that was after a longer than predicted traffic jam on the M6.

Had a lovely meet up with Nickel. Not the most exciting of locations but it was convenient and very good of her to drive up to meet me. I'd packed my friend off to do some shopping whilst we talked all things CJ and OG. No chance of us being overheard as we were surrounded by little oriental ladies grabbing designer bargains.

My neighbour (who looks after my cats when I am away) texted just before I met Nickel to say my front curtain rail had fallen down - just what I needed to hear! She is prone to dramatics but I half wondered if the paper had all ripped off but it was relatively easy to sort, thanks to my elderly next door neighbour who loves to be called on to help with DIY jobs.

When the rail was mended, I went over to take her a thank you present (yes, she's the one who gives me utter sh*te the majority of the time) and she barely acknowledged the gifts and didn't even ask properly if I'd enjoyed myself so I was really miffed, said I had to go as I had had a long journey home and have been in a bit of sulk since!

Got to say that TH doesn't always float my boat. Liked him in the Night Manager but not so sure about those white boxer shorts and I do agree with Kelly that he does resemble Ian Waite from Strictly (who is most certainly gay). Pixie and Jen I'm with you.

cjwoofwoof · 23/06/2016 09:15

Good luck pix and heli manning the polling stations today. Hopefully a few CJ lookalikes will be casting their votes. I bet whoever gets the gig at Brize Nor-Hun polling station needs reinforced knickers and a couple of Tena ladies to get through the day Grin

moojangles · 23/06/2016 10:14

Good luck heli and pix

Richtea19 · 23/06/2016 14:01

Good luck pix and heli, I'll wait till until DH is home and then we will vote later.

Hair done, euros bought a s about to pack. Can wait to get away tomorrow. Although I do feel a bit mean leaving the boys with Nan!!! Did anyone else have a bad storm last night! The whole room lit up from the lightening.

ilove Glad you had a good meet up with nickel . I still haven't managed to book football tickets yet so not sure of our Manchester trip yet., but will keep you posted.

Nickel45 · 23/06/2016 21:41

Hope the vote counting goes ok. Not that it's any help, but I'm ready to hit my pitt, and both kids are still awake complaining that they can't get to sleep! Well, I could, if they stopped yelling at me! Anyone staying up to watch the result?

Ilovelblue · 23/06/2016 22:50

Enjoy your week away Rich. Is it a city break or a beach week? Hotel or villa? Yes, it would be lovely to meet up again!

Has everyone voted?

Richtea19 · 23/06/2016 23:31

I'm not staying up nickel, although I prob won't sleep as DS is helping out at our civic centre, so I will wait up for him.

ilove- staying in a hotel near to the beach. I'm hoping for a total relax!

icemistOBE · 24/06/2016 07:51

Kept waking up in the night to check result. Am gutted and seriously worried about the implications of this.

Nickel45 · 24/06/2016 09:11

Oh my goodness! Me too ice. Still, on a plus note, new chapter from rhu ... need to get the washing on, DH out of the house, coffee poured ... 😀

icemistOBE · 24/06/2016 09:14

Great update rhu ladies in the FB group love it!!

pixieg1rl · 24/06/2016 09:27

Not a good day at all ice.

I'm trying to work out how far I can go in just over one hours sleep. Currently having a fried egg sarnie and huge cup of tea and watching episode 2. Blimey 2 section are a rubbish bunch, always wandering off to do their own thing.

I feel very unsettled about it all. I guess it's partly the fear of the unknown. I've not had the stamina to watch it on television. I've stuck to the radio so far but I will watch it on the news tonight. I'm off to visit my cousin this morning - we meet up in Skipton for fish and chips usually. Whether you are a Cameron supporter or not, it worries me who will take his place.

I think a few episodes of OG are a good way to get through the day.

Marvellous chapter Rhubarb. So near, yet so far.

MaddieMoo82 · 24/06/2016 09:46

Morning all. Haven't posted much as been a manic week. Just need to get today and tomorrow sorted and then 2 days off.
Hope you had a fab holiday rich
Fab update rhu just what was needed you must have read our minds.
Plenty of coffee today pix
Feel very sad about everything today and the department mood is pretty low. Well apart from one very outspoken leave person who is very happySad

icemistOBE · 24/06/2016 11:08

In the plus side, been to Bury spotted a rather nice CJ-esque army bod near the army offices and picked up this stag umbrella in £1 shop

Rhubarb01 · 24/06/2016 14:16

Afternoon ladies. Thanks for the comments on the update - I had time to proof read etc during the long dark hours of referendum watching last night - although I had to get a few hours kip as I had to go to work this morning.

Yes, I am also concerned. It's amazing considering how many voted for leave how worried everyone seems now it is here. Even my boss who voted for leave said she never thought it would happen and wasn't sure what might happen now. My concerns are really for my kids and wanting them to have as much freedom and choice and opportunity in the future as possible. Oh well, all we can do is hope that the brexiters were right. Chances are we will just end up in the mire of complicated red tape for years and get bored to death of it.Confused

Anyway that is serious enough. What will be will be! Now back to important matters that photo of TH has put me off him a bit. Someone left a copy of 'The Sun' lying around at work with a big print of the photo - no put your clothes on Tom or at least cover up the bottom half! And yes to 'Ian Waite' separated at birth?

Have a good holiday rich.

Is it Musketeers tomorrow and watch along on Sunday? If so, I'm definitely voting remain on the sofa for that!

Heligirl79 · 24/06/2016 15:37

Afternoon ladies,

Hope your feeling a bit better after a bit more sleep Pix. It was manic yesterday, people were not even put off by the heavy downpour in the evening, but it was good as it meant the day went by quickly. Wasn't expecting the result that we have though, thought it would be close, but with leave just missing out to remain. There seems to be a wierd atmosphere around town today, don't think anyone thought it would happen.

Took DD and DS up to the park before the schools kicked out, there was a few spots of rain, then chucked it down, so rushed back home, ran out into the garden to bring in the washing and then it stopped raining, typical! So now about to catch up on some ff while DS has a nap, DD watches a bit of cbeebies and wait for twins to get in from school.

Have a good holiday rich.

Richtea19 · 24/06/2016 17:41

I joined the queue out the door at M&S bank yesterday and managed to get a half decent rate, well compared to today!

Quite good to get away from it all, but can't help thinking what future our children have. When I woke little DS this morning and told him, his first words were "well that's me f..ked ! Normally a penalty is given for our swear box, but on this occasion I let it slip!

MaddieMoo82 · 24/06/2016 19:27

Glad you got the euros before today rich!
So is muskateers in tomorrow night?! Eek need to watch last weeks episode tonight then! Haven't had a chance all week.
Spend the afternoon being told how lovely it will be to not be in the EU by some colleagues and some patronising remarks about being happy about it all Angry all lead to a grumpy afternoon. Right that's it I'll stop moaning now. Off to drink some wine Google CJ videos and read smutty FF.

Ilovelblue · 24/06/2016 21:43

Like some of you seem to be saying, I too have felt very out of sorts today which I presume is down to today's news. I feel really disturbed by it all and probably not helped by the fact I've had a really busy week and have driven over 700 miles. I saw my neighbour before and asked her what the mood was like at her place of work and she said everyone was really depressed. We'll just have to wait and see I suppose and hope things calm down a bit. I've already had an email from my bank telling me they're very well prepared! I suppose they must have had two versions of their mailshot ready to send out, depending on the outcome.

Love the umbrella ice. Let's hope you don't have to use it too much this summer. Mind you, it tipped it down in Skipton this afternoon when I was with my cousin.
