Did anyone catch the itv Brief Encounters programme? Sitting in a hotel room with a teenager I'm watching all sorts! It's hilarious! Based on the start of Ann Summers and the home parties. It's so funny, I had one back in the day!!

I didn't but it looked great fun. Must remember to watch on catc-up

Evening everyone. Very late tonight as been out with a friend who I used to work with and we had a shopping evening plus fish and chips at the end.

ice so, so sorry to hear the news. Everyone is right though that there are some amazing treatments out there and you need to stay strong. When my Mum had cancer, I could barely utter the word at first but the treatment was first class and she lived to be 83. The frustration is in the hanging around, the uncertainty, but once there's a treatment plan in place, you have something positive to work on.

Rich I watched Brief Encounters, It was very funny - I missed the first 10 mins but sort of guessed at the bits I'd missed!

Evening - seems to have been quiet on here today.

It's been a rubbish week and the fallout from the unexpected death of a colleague has been driving me mad if I'm honest. Still no news of the funeral arrangements or the outcome of the post mortem. A few people have thought she could have taken her own life. It has occurred to me as well as she has been in a very bad place for months.

So pixie it was a lovely start to the weekend to read your update, thank you!

Morning all. I've got a couple of days at the freezing beach, staying with my aunt. Fleabag looks interesting!

Pix, if outlander is finished on Sunday, does that mean if you sign up for month's trial with prime you can binge watch all the episodes during that free month? Might do it once we've moved to avoid unpacking.

I think that is correct Jen. The response on Twitter to the final episode seems positive (well at least from a Richard Rankin perspective which is my main area of interest).

So good news, mum is finally home from hospital. Although she has a good few appointments over next week or so to get everything sorted for her treatment.

Miserable day here and boys are annoying today.

That's great she's home ice she will certainly be more comfortable and happier at home.

Like you and Maddie say, it's tipped it down all day. It's the outdoor production of Macbeth tonight. If it was left to me, I'd say let's cancel but my friend really wants to go, so we are making the decision at 5pm! I'm sorting the food so if we don't go, we'll be eating it in my house anyway!

By the way, who's up for the watchalong tomorrow?
