Afternoon. Glad you are finding it intriguing pix. Officially it is set in 1894 but I couldn't help thinking that Nathan's clothes were very age ambiguous as the episodes progressed.

I'm still thinking about it now and things I didn't get at the time have come back to me with an "Ahh" moment. Definitely an interesting series.

MaddieMoo82 · 27/06/2016 19:12

mooj have you watched GoT yet? I'm having to avoid all forms of social media apart from here due to the amount of spoilers being published!! Shock

moojangles · 27/06/2016 19:23

I have, just finished...no spoilers here!

Ilovelblue · 27/06/2016 19:38

Evening all. Seemed a long day at work today so going out into the garden to dig up some potatoes and to plant out two big rosemary bushes. It looks as if it's going to rain for the rest of the week.

For those of you in work today, how has the mood been re referendum? It's been very much divided in my office.... as you would expect I suppose given the result.

moojangles · 27/06/2016 19:43

The mood on Friday was outright anger, calmed to a quiet rage today I would say

moojangles · 27/06/2016 20:15

cracking update from the fabulous jen

Onlygirljen · 27/06/2016 20:16

Particularly loud rage up here I'd say ilove, a lot of people remain utterly furious. In RL I don't know a single person who voted or will admit to voting leave. In my constituency, the remain vote was over 75%.

Onlygirljen · 27/06/2016 20:17

Thanks mooj Blush

MaddieMoo82 · 27/06/2016 20:20

Cheers mooj I'm jealous. MrMads got in first with the football.
Fab update jen!!!!!!!!

icemistOBE · 27/06/2016 20:47

Fab update Jen

moojangles · 27/06/2016 20:47

In a strong remain area here too jen. Proud of my Mum who voted remain torally against her age and area demographic

moojangles · 27/06/2016 21:16

Need to reread more of your ff now jen, a perfect distraction from rl

Ilovelblue · 27/06/2016 22:58

Jen love your update. Oh to be undressing CJ in his suit! As mooj says, it's a perfect escape from all the cr*p going on around us at the moment. How's the house move progressing?

MaddieMoo82 · 27/06/2016 23:11

Ooooooh mooj what a finale! 10 mths rest (I think I need it) before it starts again.

SoEverybodyDance · 28/06/2016 01:24

Just popped in while trying to calm down over the referendum. I'm not succeeding very well. I'm proud to live in an area where White British are in a minority and more than 80% of our constituency voted to remain... I can't believe there is no real way out of this awful mess and how quickly it has disintegrated... in one of our local schools a child drew swastikas on the lavatory walls on Friday...

Anyway, I'm trying not to upset other people as well so... I scent another watch-a-long, what good fun... have I missed it? Can someone let me in on the details...

Dance X

Ilovelblue · 28/06/2016 07:23

Hi Dance, nice to hear from you again. I think we're all in shock. I feel so depressed about it all.

The watchalong is 9pm on Sunday night. We're on episode 3 next. Hope you'll join in!

namechangedtoday15 · 28/06/2016 09:15

I loved it too Jen. More please Smile

kuiakaituhi · 28/06/2016 10:31

I have a young relative due to step off the plane in the UK in about an hour's time to start her OE. She's being picked up by her football mad uncle. Her father has let her know that she should put on her black clothing. She'll be in London for a while, so probably a good choice for there too.
Really, Iceland??? Bit like our football team being beaten by Papua New Guinea, which actually did happen once.

Ilovelblue · 28/06/2016 12:25

Not everyone is football mad kuia. The football on TV is driving me up the wall at the moment! She'd do very well to keep off the referendum subject too for a while. It's very divisive just now.

pixieg1rl · 28/06/2016 14:37

I'm not sure what would be a safe topic of conversation these days kuia. I'd probably steer clear of sport and politics because we're crap at both. The weather and cakes might be a safe bet.

kuiakaituhi · 28/06/2016 15:55

Her mum is from Yorkshire and she was born in Wales. I think she is unsure about what to expect, has been really excited about coming to England, to find out about parts of herself. Is going to Leeds Uni next term, on scholarship from her Uni here. I hope its OK for her.

I can imagine how distressing the Brexit situation must be for many people. So very polarising and divisive. That's the democratic process in action, I suppose.

Ilovelblue · 28/06/2016 16:31

I think that's probably a subject not gone into in too much detail on here either kuia. It wasn't a great atmosphere on here last weekend.

Ilovelblue · 28/06/2016 16:40

"Have you met the Queen?" would be a good ice breaker as well maybe pixie?

kuiakaituhi · 28/06/2016 17:29

i think her dad managed to get her a couple of double passes to Wimbledon. That should be a safer topic of conversation, I think.
Meeting the queen would not be an option, I fear. She is going through a republican phase, not unusual amongst kiwi teenagers. IN our day it was anti-nuclear protesting...still topical here and we still don't let American nuclear powered ships in.
Why do you have to suffer sport on TV if you hate it? How many channels do you have to choose from?

moojangles · 28/06/2016 17:29

I'd go with cake
