Morning all. I feel I had a productive day yesterday (work-wise), despite the distractions of SATURDAY 28th being only 8 DAYS!!!! away and those utter lush HBF pictures. I have warned DH that the TV will be mine - and the remote, and the sky box. I may have told him several times. His response was "That's ok. Match of the Day has finished"

My stair carpet is lovely and clean where it met the lamb casserole. Unfortunately the bits that didn't meet the casserole or the subsequent cleaner now look quite astoundingly grubby. I may have to buy a carpet cleaner and give the whole thing a good clean now.

I'm so glad it's Friday eve. Food has arrived with the nice shopping man. Lots of fruit and veg...got to get my groove back as I am leaning to eating crap again. First rule of fat club is...put the doughnuts down!

Carpet cleaners are def the answer helen, I've got a vax that gives me a hernia thorough workout every time I use it, plus it's big, loud machinery...makes housework a lot more entertaining.

Small Elk's took it in turns to keep me awake last night, a combination of night terrors and falling out of bed (you're SEVEN FFS!). I'm here by myself too, mrElk's dad is v poorly, so he's been there all week. Taking kids to him today tho.

Argh for elk DS has a cabin bed with sides, so we're spared the falling out of bed. Before the cabin bed he used to fall out of his normal bed regularly - and sleep through it

I used to borrow a vax that sounds very much like yours (I borrowed DS' ear defenders and just terrorised the cats!) from a collegue who has since left. I don't really feel I can phone her and go "I know I haven't seen you for 18 months, but you did say to 'pop' in whenever I was nearby, so please can I 'pop in' and borrow your carpet cleaner?" or maybe I can actually. Rummages through contacts list...

Well I've been fairly productive so far. Sort of. If you stretch the definition of 'productive'. I've bought tickets for next year's World Athletics Championships. And the Para Championships
