Neighbours Thread - Is Lassiter's the most dangerous hotel in the world?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 03/04/2016 19:52

Starting a new thread ready for the dramas of next week.

Can't believe I'll be on holiday when the all the excitement is going on. That was seriously bad planning.

If Paul dies then I'm not coming home.

My wish list for death: Amy, her son, her mum, Sonya, Ben & Steph.

I don't understand why Toadie's walking isn't affected after being trapped under the rubble (by the window) when he was meant to never walk again only a few months before. You'd think there would be a little niggle at least

LarrytheCucumber · 20/05/2016 17:27

He obviously got his treatment at the same place as Paul!

KittyMcAllister · 20/05/2016 20:25

I can't believe there still hasn't been a resolution to the explosion. It's been going on for ages. Feels like the programme's in limbo at the moment. Where's irritating little Jimmy? Haven't seen him in ages. Totally think that Walter's Sonya's real dad.

Clawdy · 20/05/2016 22:28

The Paul story is far too prolonged, I agree. And Therese's character is becoming increasingly weird. And Angus has very odd eyes, and Xanthe would not look twice at him. And she looks about twenty. And Nate's face has become rather chubby. That's all!

skillsandtea · 20/05/2016 22:33

I think they should show Paul waking up and it was all a bad dream and he is still Mr money-mags living in a penthouse. I don't like poor and homeless Paul living in a hotel store cupboard.

Clawdy · 20/05/2016 22:38

Haha, great idea, skillsandtea !

Daffydil · 21/05/2016 08:34

Has Piper suddenly gone less indie/grungy and become more mainstream all of a sudden?

MagpieCursedTea · 21/05/2016 09:48

She doesn't have the pink in her hair anymore which is a shame!

skillsandtea · 21/05/2016 13:41

Angus has a bit of a 'We need to talk about Kevin' look about him

BadgersNadgers · 22/05/2016 09:42

Finally Dr Karl recognises his limitations, thought the day would never come Grin

He and Susan are a super couple what with her being head teacher and a celebrant and an occasional journalist. Dunno where they find the time

LarrytheCucumber · 22/05/2016 14:45

Plus Susan has MS which is as realistic as Paul's bad leg.

Katz · 23/05/2016 22:07

I'm still a couple of episodes behind but I'm guessing we still don't know who causes the explosion.

I have a new left of field totally random theory - Lynn - she knows Steph doggy biker mate, she has cause to frame Paul and it would be fit with neighbours writers random unexpected twists in storylines!

Linnet · 24/05/2016 00:27

I was saying to my dd the other day we hadn't seen Jimmy in a while, wonder where he's gone? Neither of us noticed that Madison has vanished, oops. I agree the accent that Angus has is really annoying. Ned is a pain in the neck always putting doubts in Lauren's head, I wish he would leave.

MagpieCursedTea · 24/05/2016 07:52

Ned hasn't been added to the credits so maybe he's just temporary?

PandasRock · 24/05/2016 09:30

But Imogen and Daniel are still in the credits, so think there just hasn't been a recent update. Or maybe we're not done with random deaths/exits and there will be a load of characters departing after the big reveal of who bombed the hotel?

MagpieCursedTea · 24/05/2016 10:00

John Doe was added yesterday though. He's in it with Paige now.

Samcro · 24/05/2016 10:10

i like the way ned is playing lauren. Brad is a serial cheater so she has cause to worry

PandasRock · 24/05/2016 10:31

Shows how much attention I was paying to the credits Grin

Why change the credits in a big way (film new sequence with extra person - assume the did, rather than when Steph was initially added, wasn't she photoshopped in or something?!) but not take out characters who have left. Unless they're coming back? Please god no.

I do kind of like how Ned is playing Lauren - it would be a good storyline if not mixed up in all the bomb stuff. Because there is still Neds involvement in all that hanging over - would have been more interesting if the full father/son/Lauren thing could be explored, rather than the 2 dimensional 'Ned is all bad, and is only pretending to be good, he even blew up innocent people for no reason' angle

But then I suppose that's how it always is - everyone is all good or all bad, no shades of grey. Where is Beth supposed to be now? Why didn't Ned talk to her when he was finally told that actually it wasn't Brad walking away, it was Beth preventing Brad from seeing Ned? He arrived convinced that Brad had ignored him all that time (well, um, he had - hardly mentioned at all Grin) and feeling all hard done by - why didn't Piper tell him to grow up and stop whining, after all she was shipped off halfway round the world when she was about 12, when her siblings were kept at home!

I dunno, most of the storylines are feeling a bit flat, and lacking in depth at the moment (yes, I realise this is Neighbours!). It all seems un-thought-through

Katz · 24/05/2016 17:55

Plus Ned lived with his grandparents for a while Brad could have made amends then.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 24/05/2016 18:30

Who was the person who wiped the whiteboard? I saw it but wasn't concentrating.

Ned going after Lauren is funny.

OP posts:
Cherrypie32 · 24/05/2016 18:45

Stephs (baddie) mate Jakka wiped the board as his name was on it as a suspect!

PandasRock · 24/05/2016 18:52

I don't get why he was sneaking in to read the whiteboard in the first place Confused

But I do need to keep reminding myself this is Neighbours - reasons aren't needed!

MagpieCursedTea · 24/05/2016 20:00

He's involved in framing Paul. He was talking to someone on the phone about it a while back wasn't he?

PandasRock · 24/05/2016 20:10

He was talking to Ned - I thought it was meant to show they were involved in the bombing/something law dodgy that went on at the same time which hasn't come to light yet rather than them framing Paul, but I haven't been paying close attention to most of the bomb storyline as it is yawnsome.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 24/05/2016 20:55

Ah thank you, Cherry!
