Ok someone pick something awesome for me to watch on netflix tonight.

Every evening i go to watch something and i browse for ages to see if anything looks good. Click on a few things and am turning them off within minutes. I then fall back on tried and tested sitcoms ive watched a million times just to wind down enough to go to sleep. I want to watch something brilliant that i havent seen before. Either film or series.

I tend not to like sci fi stuff. I started watching orphan black but was underwhelmed. (Had heard great things on MN) i know i am very picky but there must be something i've yet to see and love.

(i hate it when the clocks go forwards and its too early to go to bed.)

I'm watching season 2 of daredevil. I had forgotten how much i loved it. Very happilly on episode 4 (no work tomorrow! )

Another vote for What we do in the shadows. Excellent film and very funny.

Why has no one mentioned Dexter?! Brilliant. I am rewatching it now.

Also lov the bridge and orange is the new black.

Dexter is the guy outbof six feet under? (which was fantastic) thats another one i didnt get past episode one with. Cant remember why.

Yes he was in six feet under (Agree - fabulous) but very different in Dexter, honestly, persevere!

What's daredevil?
Do I have to watch that to watch Jessica Jones?
Is it a marvel thing ?

Lillehammer i watched and loved. Very funny! Rita i will put on the list to watch.

Daredevil is a marvel show. Dont know about jessica jones so cant say if necessary viewing.

Very, very,old series but definitely worth a watch and lots of lovely series to go through are West Wing and ER ( which I've just finished rewatching and although I've seen it umpteen times cried like a baby at a certain death. )

I didn't watch daredevil before I watched Jessica jones - it's a sort of standalone season in the marvel series. Is v good

I've just finished Gotham which I surprisingly loved!! The first couple of episodes are a bit slow, but it soon livens up. Just gutted now that season 2 isn't on Netflix yet.

I've just started watching the Shadow Hunters series. I loved the first few books and didn't mind the film, so hoping I enjoy the series too.

I know its not netflix but i'm just back from seeing batman v superman. Well, just...yum.

I've just finished watching Norwegian political thriller 'Occupied' on SkyArts. It was bloody brilliant and has been renewed for a 2nd season. When I was googling about whether there would be a 2nd season, I got this hit:

If it pops up on UK Netflix, I would strongly recommend watching it. Each episode is a month over the course of a year (with a couple of gaps, only 10 eps) and the tension ratchets up brilliantly after a seemingly slow start. I am a huge fan of the Bridge and the Killing - I'd say this is on a par, quality-wise. I was also rather teary during December part 2- the writers have created characters you care about and are invested in.

I'm now waiting impatiently for season 2!

Also, thanks again for the 'What we do in the shadows' recommendation. I watched it again with DH and he loved it too.

I also watched what we do in the shadows last night. Bloody brilliant from start to finish. Not what i was expecting at all (not into vampire stuff) but it was hilarious.

The gag that killed DH was the age gap one at the end when Veago is sitting with Kathryn.

I also thought the final unveiling of The Beast was hilarious.

The age gap one was brilliant. Was just about to add "and the revealing of the beast" but see you got there first! Great minds. and how fab was Stu? Brilliant character.

I don't think Bloodline has been mentioned yet

I loved that when Stu started to explain his job at the Unholy thing, everyone started chanting 'virgin, virgin'. His lack of affect and his painful introversion was a terrific foil for the over-the-top flatmates.

Blackfish. One off documentary about orcas in captivity. Compelling viewing, watched it twice in the space of twelve hours
