the last thread got to 1000 (took 2 and a half YEARS Grin )

So:
Paddy and Rhona off to Germany with Marlons blessing.
Why did Rhona say "Pretend you fell off a horse" to explain his bruise. He's a Vet. He could've been kicked by any sort of animal, he's the most unlikely equestrian ever.

Eric- something going on with him. Not just a touch of dodgy tummy, I reckon he'll have something serious and bowel related (a slow burn storyline )

Holly- can't stick her, whiney irritating little twerp.

Charity, you are not the hottest thing to walk the Dales. Go Away.

Ashley Sad

Chrissie/Andy/Robert .
Chrissie and Robert are talking . Is there going to be another Sudgen Brother Love Triangle? (Yawn)

love when she came in with the dead chicken and a splattering of blood on her wedding dress where she had killed it

wont this leave James an addict with all this Morphine she is pumpig in to him

very ott but loved tonights episode

IAmNoAngel · 19/10/2016 21:03

Was Emma meant to be a ghost at the end? I wasn't sure, with all the mist. I thought tonight was nowhere near as good as it could have been, Emma is usually much scarier in her insanity.

Smidge001 · 19/10/2016 21:43

What a load of tosh!! I really liked Monday's episode, but the writers seem to have lost the plot with the rest of it. Did they get a work experience student to fill in?!

DanyellasDonkey · 19/10/2016 22:22

After the endless hype tonight was utter tripe. So Emma can kill, pluck, do whatever else is necessary to make it oven-ready, cook and serve a chicken in next to not time.

It wasn't in the least bit scary, just laughable.

The amount of times James has missed an opportunity to be found - two people within easy distance of the farm and at least two visit from the boys - just when you think it can't get any worse................ Shock

Kirriemuir · 19/10/2016 22:26

So I take it they are all in the car crash? Someone dies from the crash? James and Emma coming onto the road from the woods and the rest in cars.

seasidesally · 19/10/2016 22:31

i think you may have it K

im far to dim to think of that

ayeokthen · 19/10/2016 22:32

Kirriemuir I thought that too! I thought this week was shaping up to be good with Monday's episode, yesterday was a bit odd but tonight was ridiculous.

DanyellasDonkey · 19/10/2016 22:41

I thought that too Kirrie about them all being involved in the same car crash, but is that really believable in a small village? But then none of the rest of it has been remotely believable!!

Then I thought that Aaron and Robert appeared to be driving along a country road and Paddy and Rhona were on a dual carriageway, so they can't crash into each other.

However anything is possible in Soapland

GinSoakedBarroomQueenInMemphis · 20/10/2016 08:20

I thought it was great. When Emma cane in with that chicken and said 'Dinner won't be long' Grin

On Monday's episode, when the policeman was about to inspect Aaron's car, the policeman got a call over his radio to report a car driving erratically and the numberplate reported is Ashley and Laurel's car numberplate.

I think it's clever the way each episode is doing the same day from different viewpoints and then all colliding at the same time. The radio playing Turn Back Time each morning (very Groundhog Day Smile) and then a dementia feature on the radio is obviously referring to Ashley being at the centre of it all.

Emmerdale blows all the other soaps out of the water. Apart from Marlon - let's hope the campsite blows up and takes Marlon out Grin

HeyThatsNotMyName · 20/10/2016 08:32

Do you think the interview the girl in the diy shop mentioned is about Ashley?

Trying to piece all the clues together!

GinSoakedBarroomQueenInMemphis · 20/10/2016 08:33

them all being involved in the same car crash, but is that really believable in a small village?

If it was believable then we'd be watching a load of extras we don't know in a car crash this week, while the villagers cook pub lunches, tend to animals and watch telly Grin

It's a soap - I'm not sure it's meant to reflect real life!

GinSoakedBarroomQueenInMemphis · 20/10/2016 08:41

HeyThatsNotMyName, yes I think Ashley recorded an interview for the radio about dementia.

I've enjoyed all the little clues this week. I also liked the bit with Robert and Paddy that was shown in two different viewpoints in different episodes. Very clever. I imagine tonight with Ashley's episode that we'll see bits of Monday's episode again in different viewpoints, like Victoria and Robert outside the pub on Monday when Ashley and Laurel were stood next to their car (the one reported as driving erratically later in Monday's episode).

MitzyLeFrouf · 20/10/2016 11:11

I quite liked last night's episode! Especially where Emma cheerily appeared with a freshly beheaded chicken and a splash of blood across her 80s-tastic wedding dress Grin

DanyellasDonkey · 20/10/2016 11:33

I obviously missed the clue about Ashley's car being the one the policeman was responding to. As I said upthread, I'm not good at subtle clues and inferences - my concentration isn't great and I'm usually thinking about or doing other things at the same time.

Just hoping the big reveal is worth waiting for. So far I'd agree that Emmerdale is by far the best soap, but I haven't felt that this week's episodes have been great. Maybe tonight will bring it all together in some amazing way!

Doubt it, but willing to be proved wrong. Wink

TheLegendOfBeans · 20/10/2016 11:40

Holy shit GinSoaked; I bow to four emmerdale knowledge being able to identify ashley's number plate!

Yep, last night was tosh but I'm going to stick my neck out here and think the death is Emma. Of course the way the end of last night's episode was filmed pointed towards Emma as a ghost - I just think that'll be the (disappointing) conclusion to what's shaping up to be a mixed week.

Ps: I couldn't give fewer shits about Paddy/Rhonda and Pierce. I hope they all get killed by chicken wielding zombie Emma.

MitzyLeFrouf · 20/10/2016 11:41

I read that a certain cast member is leaving so that's killed the suspense somewhat for me. Of course they might bump off more than one. No other soap can beat Emmerdale in terms of a cast cull!

MitzyLeFrouf · 20/10/2016 11:42

And totally agree about Paddy Rhona and Pierce. They could be thrown under a combine harvester for all I care!

googleyourheartout · 20/10/2016 11:47

Paddy and Pierce where on GMTV or whatever its called now this morning and were able to confirm that **at least one character and possibly up to three .

TheLegendOfBeans · 20/10/2016 11:52

I read somewhere that may be a spoiler alert if I'm right* Ashley isn't bumped off until Feb 2017.

GinSoakedBarroomQueenInMemphis · 20/10/2016 12:32

Holy shit GinSoaked; I bow to four emmerdale knowledge being able to identify ashley's number plate! Grin

I can't take credit: I read it on Digital Spy!

redshoeblueshoe · 20/10/2016 17:08

Legend - someone else has said they are leaving.
3 wow - do we get a wish list ?
Sadly people I'd like to die aren't involved in these story lines.
I wish it was Lisa, Charity and Marlon - they could dangle the Dingle's over a cliff Grin

redshoeblueshoe · 20/10/2016 17:09

Gin - I thought you had super-powers to be that observant !

qazxc · 20/10/2016 17:14

I thought it was 2 separate crashes, one with Aaron / Robert and Emma /James on a foggy road. The other paddy/rhona and probably Ashley in clear weather / bigger road.

ColonelSamanthaCarter · 20/10/2016 19:18

Looks like tonight is another snoozefest. Please god let Ashley be one of the ones written outShock

Jojoanna · 20/10/2016 19:28
