the last thread got to 1000 (took 2 and a half YEARS Grin )

So:
Paddy and Rhona off to Germany with Marlons blessing.
Why did Rhona say "Pretend you fell off a horse" to explain his bruise. He's a Vet. He could've been kicked by any sort of animal, he's the most unlikely equestrian ever.

Eric- something going on with him. Not just a touch of dodgy tummy, I reckon he'll have something serious and bowel related (a slow burn storyline )

Holly- can't stick her, whiney irritating little twerp.

Charity, you are not the hottest thing to walk the Dales. Go Away.

Ashley Sad

Chrissie/Andy/Robert .
Chrissie and Robert are talking . Is there going to be another Sudgen Brother Love Triangle? (Yawn)

Can't believe they are fecking around with Moira and Cain, can no one be happy at all, do they not realise that the veiwers like a happy couple, they are great together, I'm bloody annoyed now!!!

And as for Charity sticking her oar in everytime, oh god, do us a favour and get rid of her, her storylines are always the same, smirk, get revenge, smirk, get revenge, it's very bloody boring.

Rachel0Greep · 05/08/2016 00:06

ellenanora that is what is annoying me!
Charity and Cain spark off one another. Each of them with one liners to tear the other apart.

Chas and Cain are brilliant in their scenes together, in my opinion. There is a vulnerability there, which makes the back story of a difficult childhood so credible

But the scenes this week made nonsense of the back story of the characters. Cain saying 'I'm here'. Oh please!

Can't help thinking it's a case of 'rinse and repeat'...

Actually thinking of ditching Emmerdale for Corrie. Stopped watching that about 2 years ago now.

Unicorn1981 · 05/08/2016 07:54

Corrie is much better imo and it's funny.

Unicorn1981 · 06/08/2016 23:36

Just catching up with this. God it's awful.

ellenanora5 · 08/08/2016 19:14

Chrissy is morphing into Morticia from the Adams family.

That look does not suit her.

MTWTFSS · 08/08/2016 20:31

Will the wedding go ahead?!?

seasidesally · 08/08/2016 22:14

i just knew he was gonna call her Lisa

hope the wedding is of

poor lisa but i do wish she would stop making exscuses for Belle constantly

CrowyMcCrowFace · 08/08/2016 22:18

I've spent a year living abroad & just had an Emmerdale catch up fest (just July, a whole year would be...mad).

It's not improved!

seasidesally · 08/08/2016 22:36

July was probably the worst month of the year on Emmerdale, the crash with Val dying was quite good but that was a few months back now

ellenanora5 · 08/08/2016 23:50

Yep, you could see it coming a mile away seasidesally, I'll never understand why they split Zach and Lisa up, ridiculous really, and why was Chas surprised Lisa still had feelings for him, she was married to him for years, feelings don't just disappear.

seasidesally · 08/08/2016 23:56

so agree, course Lisa still loves him and how come their divorces come through super quick, they dont seem to in real life and how did they manage to pay for a divorce they never have any money

ellenanora5 · 09/08/2016 00:03

I know, and who is paying for the wedding, the fancy dress for the stag do, the wedding dress, Joanie works in the factory and Zach doesn't have a job anymore I don't think, and they live with Dan and Kerry and Amelia, the house is tiny.

And where is Megan, her and Zach were great friends at one stage, surely she would be around for the big day.

seasidesally · 09/08/2016 00:13

oh yes paying for the wedding !!

TheLegendOfBeans · 09/08/2016 10:52

The whole Zac and Joanie storyline is total phooey. Nobody gives a toss about Joanie and it just reeks of trying to keep Steve Halliwell (Zac) in a job.

My prediction is that at the altar he will say "I take you....LISA" and then Joanie will run out and the whole thing will be over.

Finally, I am sick of seeing Belle's imaginary persecutor's mithering face. Storywriters, please wrap the mental illness part of the ongoing Belle saga up fast, its totally unbelievable, badly written and generally shite.

southeastdweller · 09/08/2016 11:50

I don't look forward anymore to any episodes. I think the new boss is running the show into the ground.

Rachel0Greep · 09/08/2016 11:56

Same here south. I can't believe how quickly it seems to have gone downhill. I rarely even watch now, and it used to be my favourite soap.

DanyellasDonkey · 09/08/2016 12:17

I agree with all these comments. I used to watch it regularly as it was so good. Nowadays I can't really be bothered. Too many silly storylines - Zak/Joanie, Belle/the Dr, Chrissy/Lawrence/Andy/Lachlan etc etc and the ongoing Charity/Cain shite - oh I could go on and on for ever.

Too many unlikely stories for a tiny village

Rachel0Greep · 09/08/2016 13:55

I think that it's as if they are rehashing storylines, without seeing that they no longer work, and the characters have moved past whatever it is.
If they have Cain and Charity or indeed Charity and Ross out stealing cars again, I will give up completely on it.

TheLegendOfBeans · 09/08/2016 14:29

Also: CHRISSIES FRINGE Shock

pussinasda · 09/08/2016 18:14

chrissie looked like a drag queen last night

seasidesally · 09/08/2016 19:13

very severe "look" she's got going on there

JaneJeffer · 10/08/2016 00:35

Yes they are trying to make her look evil. I actually feel sorry for Lachlan. He wants to do the right thing but is being told not to. I can see him going off on one further down the line and causing mayhem!

How can the Dingles not notice that Belle is not right?!

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington · 10/08/2016 12:49

I'm officially ditching this show. Zak ditching Lisa for that other woman? No thank you.

ellenanora5 · 10/08/2016 13:18

It's all very disappointing, especially after winning soap of the year you would think the producers and writers would have coped on and knew they had a good thing going, not try their level best to make sure they never win it again.
