Surely not much longer to wait now until the new producer starts? Things must improve, mustn't they?

Hanging on by my fingernails at the minute.

Jesus that was awful. Why doesn't Anna tell Kevin? Surely soap writers know by now we all hate this keeping stupid secrets stuff. Linda and Mick in Eastenders are so refreshing, they just tell each other everything and sort it there and then.

Simon story dreadful too.

MissBattleaxe · 08/02/2016 21:46

Oh not more Anna and Phelan crap. It was tedious first time round.

millimat · 09/02/2016 17:56

So now Paula lane (kylie) is leaving too. They're all getting out! At least it may see the end of the silly Callum plot- bet she goes down for murder.

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 09/02/2016 18:39

Just once I would love to see someone in a soap.or drama accidentally kill someone, phone them an ambulance and then go to the Police and say sorry it was an accident/self defence.

Like any bloody normal person would do.

Chipstick10 · 09/02/2016 18:44

Totes agree with you smalllegs. It drives me nuts. Ppl either don't face justice or it drags on for the best part of a year with innocent ppl getting thrown into the frame .

southeastdweller · 09/02/2016 19:14

I wonder if ITV got shirty with Paula Lane about taking ML so soon after her first absence so she chose to leave for good instead? I read a few interviews with her when she returned and she said how much she was loving being back.

nether · 09/02/2016 19:20

Talking of Izzy, I have heard today a spoiler about a storyline connected to her medical condition (won't post more as I don't know if spoilers are welcome). The pooped shoulder might be the start of it happening.

And it's fucking awful.

MadHattersWineParty · 09/02/2016 19:24

Oh not an Izzy storyline! Please! I think I dread that more than I did the Fizz/Hope one.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 09/02/2016 19:27

I'm glad Kylie is leaving if it means we eventually see less of the Platts and the stupid Callum storyline is wrapped up.

I think I've seen the same spoiler nether. It is ridiculous.

Sometimes I think the writers step away from the "pull a character and a plot out of the tombola drum" method and just flick through Take A Break for unlikely storylines.

Chipstick10 · 09/02/2016 20:36

Nooooo not an izzy storyline she's a dreadful actress

ellenanora5 · 09/02/2016 20:40

I haven't watched in ages, I'm not missing much by the sounds of things, didn't know Kylie was leaving, she is a good actress so I hope she finds plenty of work without the nonsense storylines she has had to put up with.

PennyHasNoSurname · 09/02/2016 20:43

Do you think the Callum thing will come out and Kylie will take the flack? I mean, we know she did it, but the whole flack and say David and Sarah were nowhere around?

scarlets · 09/02/2016 21:00

Paula Lane is a strong actress. She'll go the way of Suranne Jones, Katherine Kelly etc.

No no no to a major Izzy storyline. The actress is not good enough.

Rachel0Greep · 09/02/2016 21:27

and just flick through Take A Break for unlikely storylines.

Love it Anne Grin
I've read that spoiler too. Give me strength!

nether · 09/02/2016 21:33

What bothers me is that EDS is such a poorly understood condition in the real world, and subject to all sorts of misunderstanding.

Having a shit storyline on Corrie is going to reinforce those misconceptions.

It's not like childhood cancer, where everyone just knows how implausible the storyline is. Or the EE 'baby death/steal another one' horrible storyline, where everyone knew how wrong it was.

This isn't just bad, it's despicable.

WotNoLoobrush · 09/02/2016 22:23

ShockBloody hell, another one deserting the street sinking ship. Who will it be next week?

ellenanora5 · 09/02/2016 22:33

I hope so scarlet, just watched Happy Valley with four ex Corrie actors, all women, and they were brilliant in it.

thenightsky · 09/02/2016 22:34

Is Sarah Platt still pregnant?

eddiemairswife · 09/02/2016 23:09

I wondered about Sarah when she made a brief appearance yesterday. Have any ex-Corrie men gone on to succeed like all those Happy Valley women?

Rachel0Greep · 09/02/2016 23:38

Tbh, I think that any of the good ones should get out, while the going is good. Some are there for life, and no disrespect to them, but with the way things have deteriorated... Hmm

scarlets · 09/02/2016 23:54

Eddiemair, the only successful male I can think of is Rob James Collier, who went on to a major role in Downton Abbey. There must be others, though....

NuggetofPurestGreen · 10/02/2016 00:32

Was going to say Liam Connor also. Can't think of any other men!

NuggetofPurestGreen · 10/02/2016 00:36

Just did a quick Google and Ben Kingsley started off in Corrie! 50 years ago mind...

hildasmuriel · 10/02/2016 07:48

You've got me thinking on the male actors.

Owen popped up in BeowulfGrin.

Best one I can think of is Joe Gilgun (Woody) from This is England who was a child actor on the street.

I'm racking my brains for more.

thenightsky · 10/02/2016 08:48

I saw Les Battersby on one of those Benefits in Britain type programmes the other night.
