I thought that about Farrah too. I found it weird that she was set separately on her own chair whilst the rest of the mums where squeezed on to a single sofa.

The daddy Derek thing just got weirder last night, why are his family going along with it?

Apparently Derek's mom is not happy with MTV as the woman with his dad was his step-mom but on screen it said "Derek's mom"! Farrah then had a rant as she (Derek's real mom) will never see Sophia and Farrah has told Sophia all the horrid things the real mom put her thru

I hate the way the producer panders to Farrah, even on the aftershow she came running when Farrah started crying and gave Nessa a look as to say "move on"!.

The Daddy Derek stuff is odd. I get her wanting Sophia to know who her dad was etc but I thought they weren't in a major relationship when he died and that they were barely talking to each other. It seems like Farrah has built it up in her head as this grand romance which would have been her answer to everything when in reality it was more of a fling. But maybe I'm miss remembering that though

I think the daddy thing comes up all the time as she doesn't really have a "storyline" apart from being a rude bitch.

They are filling Sophia's head with too many adult conversations, I'd love to see how their lives are 10yrs on when Sophia is 16.

Anyone else a bit when farrah talked about adopting? The way she talked about it, and wanting an older child not a baby, made it seem like it was more of a convince to her. To her figure and not having to go through the baby stage. But she won't realise that an older child will have a troubled background amd need a lot of help integrating and a period of developing attachment and constant 1:1 to establish her as the care giver. I cannot imagine her being willing to do this. I just see her seeing the column inches sadly.

I was too rain. I don't know how it works in america but a friend of mine adopted and the hoops they had to jump through to get their little girl was numerous. I can't imagine Farrah being considered a stable environment to bring a troubled child into.

I think adoption is a bit different in America, because of the different views on abortion etc adoption is seen as more of a choice whereas here it's troubled kids/babies been removed from families and the parents often chose the adoptive parents. Although surely if she's wanted to adopt an older child they'd be in care? I doubt any social worker will place a child with her.

Yes babies are adopted from birth in America, which involves the adopters paying a lot of money to the agency. Whereas adopting children from the care system in America, so an older child is free (money wise no fees). It is far more common due to religious factors etc.
Whereas in the UK there are no fees to pay.

Yes going abroad would make her more of an "A lister"

Caitlin looked uncomfortable when Tyler said Carly had called him daddy. Must be hard for brandon and Teresa having to live their life out on TV.

I agree it must be hard for Brandon and teresa but I do think that, as caitlyn has come across so well on the show that it will be really nice for Carly to see when she is old enough, you can really tell how important she is to caitlyn and Tyler and there's no way Carly will grow up thinking they just didn't want her/couldn't be bothered etc
I think Brandon and teresa didn't know the show would be so big bit they were aware of filming etc when Carly was born

Do Brandon and Teresa have to stay in so much contact with Tyler and Caitlynn? I don't really understand the 'open' adoption thing. Does Carly know Tyler is her birth dad then?

The Farrah and daddy Derek thing o think is exactly like someone else suggested - she has built it all up in her head. Her crying seems a bit fake sometimes. Although I don't know how Derek's family could ever question if he was the father, Sophia is the spitting image of him and always has been!

Really hope the other teen mom series with Chelsea etc is on after this one finishes, anyone know if they have filmed another one?

I thought the same about Maci, especially when she took part in that colour run thing. Her baby was only about 6 weeks but she looked fab!

The rumours are TM2 will air in May.

I think with an open adoption both parties agree to certain terms of contact which varies adoption to adoption and sign legal documents. (only what I've gathered from watching far to much reality TV)

I have read that the new series of 16 and pg will air after this and they've changed the format, then TM2 after that.

I've just caught up with this series, I hadn't realised it had started! Strange for me as I'm obsessed a big fan!

Farrah is bloody awful! She is rude and deluded, the way she speaks to people is awful. Her mother doesn't seem great either, but it's ridiculous that Sophia is being so rude to her Grandmother. The way she goes on about "daddy Derek" is cringey, I don't even think he was mentioned in the first couple of series!! And I really don't think being thrown out of the white party had anything to do with her being on Teen Mom, she seems to have forgotten all about porn tape she made.

I like all the other girls, Amber especially seems to have really matured. Hopefully she will see the light and get rid of Matt soon.

Gary is getting bigger and bigger each week. He sounded like he was having trouble breathing and speaking at the same time. His girlfriend is a total wet blanket too.

Tyler is not handling the Carly thing as well as Caitlyn. Although Cait gets very emotional, she seems to understand better that she is no longer Carlys parent, and doesn't get a say in anything. Tyler seems to forget this a lot.

Also Raaahhhnn maoning about wanting Bentley for another night was a joke. Why would he want him there another night? He never plays with him or does anything with him. He sits about while his Dad does everything.

Yeah i think raaahhhhn just wants to make his parents think maci is being unfair, he seemed really annoyed when his mum babysat her baby, but she's Bentley's sister I think it's nice if his grandparents for his grandparents to see his sister surely
