No I'm sure Kathy appearing in the live episode was a shock. I'm always looking at spoilers and I was really shocked when I saw her. After that we knew she was coming back.

I agree it was a shock about Kathy but there was some speculation she may be coming back because someone here posted about it on the day of the live episode.

Phil was quite badly injured by Gavin and his crew. I think he said to Ben that he was left alone with the bottle of scotch, and used it to help him sleep when he was being held hostage. Sharon is terrible for letting Gavin in her life really.

I only started watching again on the night of the live one so not sure what was said leading up but I saw a programme about the prep for it and even the costume dept didn't know Gillian was back; they were given measurements and age for this "new" character

Knew GAVIN beat up Phil but didn't know about the booze for sure

And yes shazza awful for allowing GAVIN aka daddy back into her life when he did they to her hubby - who she loved at the time

And why Havnt the police arrested GAVIN yet for fraud - not sure how Kathy got off as well / sure they got life insurance of several hundred thousand

Pretty sure Phil told Ben that Gavin left him in a room with a bottle of whiskey and that's why he started drinking again.

EE announced Grant returning last night themselves, very exciting! I thought the agreement was that if EE announced it, it wasn't a spoiler?

Yes Grant is back in Spring for Peggy's farewell. It's been confirmed. Even if he's only back for 2 or 3 episodes, it's probably enough time for him to have an affair and get someone pregnant. Max has managed to do instant sex with people, so I'm sure Grant can.
