Yip Peggy is going to snuff it and Phil is going to get her liver. IMO Whitney is still affected by her abuse that is why she is attracted to mick I thought Linda was hilarious with her do you want my chips husband quip. Linda is middle aged barbieGrin

BlueThursday · 30/01/2016 21:47

I didn't watch for about 5 years so there's a few gaps for me.

What happened to whitneys tshirt business? It just randomly appeared in my head when she asked Lilly if she wanted a tshirt to sleep in

MagpieCursedTea · 30/01/2016 22:02

If completely forgotten about her tshirt business! No idea, she ended up training as a nursery TA though but then was made redundant which is why she's now pulling pints in the Vic.

notquitehuman · 30/01/2016 23:58

Can you just decide who your organs go to? Like if you're dying and your alcoholic relative suddenly needed a liver would surgeons do that? Obviously Phil wouldn't usually get a liver.

Akire · 31/01/2016 00:03

I thought they didn't give transplants to alcoholics anyway? Thought you had to have given up booze for certain length of time first? Because if there's limited organs it's better it goes to a health person than someone who's going carry on drinking.

Even if laundrette has make over sudden health regs sorted, they want chairs outside but it's just stalls? Because everyone who used to sneak in out of there wasn't seen because behind stalls. Even seats outside cafe Are right next to bins.

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/01/2016 07:14

Takes about 5/7 days to detox an extreme alcoholic with drugs and another week or so to get totally out of system speaks from sad experience

Now Phil is in hospital they will detox him so by Valentine's Day should be off the booze and back to normal Phil

If he stops drinking he would survive

And no they wouldn't do a liver transplant for an alcoholic - unless privately /black market ........

Tho sure on ee medical stuff if different

If Nancy etc are selling food do they have a prosper licence and has the health authority checked their cooking hq and given them the go ahead?

OhTinky · 31/01/2016 20:43

How can the laundrette be a restaurant. There's only room for 4 people in there at best and it's got no kitchen facilities. Plus I wouldn't want that washing line of unclaimed items hanging over my dinner...

Optimist1 · 01/02/2016 00:15

I noticed the other evening that the Argee Bargee (sp?) is still there with signage, etc. Do we know who bought it?

MagpieCursedTea · 01/02/2016 09:18

No idea, what does the sign say?

Optimist1 · 01/02/2016 09:32

It was the name of the restaurant across its front (above door and windows) that I saw.

SymphonyofShadows · 01/02/2016 09:40

Someone (Masood?) tried to get the Argy Bargy back fairly recently but couldn't get a loan from the bank. This must be the way the Tam/Nancy story is going

firefly78 · 01/02/2016 09:45

what happened with phil? did his liver explode!

SymphonyofShadows · 01/02/2016 09:51

It certainly looked like it. He has less than a year if he doesn't stop drinking. [yawn]

MrsJayy · 01/02/2016 09:58

I was confused are they going to open the laundrette as a caff washing facility or just buy the building? I think they should call it soupy bubbles made myself lol like a twat

Akire · 01/02/2016 10:27

Think they are going along with some sort of pop up shop idea. Some naff trendy would'nt be cool to eat in laundrette sort thing. Imagine use pub kitchen for time being?

MrsJayy · 01/02/2016 10:33

Maybe serve drinks in powder scoops and baskets as trays

notquitehuman · 01/02/2016 11:37

According to the handy Eastenders wiki, the Argee is still there. It's just boarded up: eastenders.wikia.com/wiki/The_Argee_Bhajee

I love that it used to be the DiMarco's Italian restaurant.

Optimist1 · 01/02/2016 13:46

Thanks for the link to the wiki, notquite - have just wasted a long time browsing it. Had forgotten all about the DiMarcos!

SymphonyofShadows · 01/02/2016 14:33

Do you remember when Nadia Sawalha was in EE as a rubbish gangster with links to the DiMarcos? Did she get killed off? Please say yes, otherwise someone might think it's a good idea to bring her back!

MagpieCursedTea · 01/02/2016 14:35

It doesn't matter if they killed her off or not. Now you've mentioned it on this thread, it's bound to happen!

SymphonyofShadows · 01/02/2016 14:51

Shiiiiit!

notquitehuman · 01/02/2016 16:09

Didn't the Nadia Sawalha character accidentally shag her half brother? Since the actor is Jewish, it always made me wonder why they never had a Jewish family on the show.

The Eastenders wiki brings back some bad memories. Remember the boring bloody Ferrarias? I came across their page for some reason. I don't think they had a single interesting story.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 01/02/2016 16:39

Didn't they have something about a kidney transplant???

NuggetofPurestGreen · 01/02/2016 16:40

Not saying it was actually interesting! Just supposed to be!

bialystockandbloom · 01/02/2016 18:38

Dr legg was Jewish wasn't he? And there was briefly a Jewish barber, can't remember his name but some minor story line with Sonia when she was young shows age and far too much knowledge about ancient EE history
