Sonia Fowler and House. That juxtaposition could make my head explode! Smile.

SheHasAWildHeart · 19/01/2016 08:49

I don't know why Kat's sisters are being like that especially as Charlie spent more time with her than any of the others.
Jean's back - more shrill shrieking.
Did anyone catch that look Tina gave Sonia when she touched his hand?

Optimist1 · 19/01/2016 08:51

Agreed, MissB! I'm conjuring up some episodes ... 1) The Mystery of the Completely Changed Heads, 2) Returned from the Dead, and so on.

celeste83 · 19/01/2016 09:15

Yay I love Jean Smile

LemonBreeland · 19/01/2016 09:34

I think the Slater sisters are jealous of Kat because of the attention Charlie gave her.

Drunk Phil in the pub was brilliant.

WonderingAspie · 19/01/2016 10:58

I hate Jean. I actually groan when she turns up, she drives me up the wall!

I don't get this thing with Kat and her sisters either, ok annoying Belinda has a problem with her but she always did, what about Lynn and Little Mo! There was never as issue with Kat and them to the extent they'd ban her from her own fathers funeral. And I'm guessing they aren't returning for the funeral. Big Mo wouldn't have stood for that either so thats crap as well.

SymphonyofShadows · 19/01/2016 11:15

Lynne got the sack didn't she? She could come back with a new head though. They couldn't give Little Mo a new head, she is too well known

celeste83 · 19/01/2016 11:31

Yes it'll be interesting if the rest of the sisters are shown tomorrow incluyding Kat's daughter whos name i have completely forgot about now.

WonderingAspie · 19/01/2016 11:40

Zoe, she won't be back, has a fabulous life in Spain where she doesn't want to know Kat at all apparently, but she did still see Charlie and Big Mo so hardly plausible that she won't be there.

I think Lynn did get the sack now you mention it, wasn't she an alcoholic or something (the actress). I can't see them bothering to use a new head for 1 episode, they only do that if they are coming back properly don't they? Does this mean Belinda is in it for a while or are they finally getting g rid of the slater's bar Stacey?

celeste83 · 19/01/2016 11:42

But in reality if you were in Spain you would jet back for your Dad's/Grandad's funeral. What about Little Mo? Or is she pissed off with Kat cos she liked Alfie i remember...

MissBattleaxe · 19/01/2016 12:00

The actress who played Lynne had a terrible time in real life. She lost her infant son and her Mum close together. Poor thing.

LemonBreeland · 19/01/2016 12:39

I'm wondering if they will actually show the funeral properly. I think maybe they will shoe it from Kat's pov and we will see Belinda blocking her entrance or something. Not sure how they will work the wake though.

I agree that Big Mo wouldn't put up with that. It's nonsense.

MissBattleaxe · 19/01/2016 12:41

If Kat goes, they will show it, if not, they have dodged the problem of getting the other sisters there or doing the pathetic "she's in Spain/looking after a friend with a broken ankle/ was too upset to come" for the ones they couldn't get hold of.

celeste83 · 19/01/2016 12:56

I suspect they may only show the funeral from outside the church and show Kat walking in or refused entrance by Belinda. It would look silly actually to have a whole load of new faces as her sisters for one episode i agree.

I'd like to see Big Mo come back to Eastenders though. She'd get on well with Babe, or maybe she wouldn't.

notquitehuman · 19/01/2016 18:04

I liked Little Mo. It was nice to have a female character who wasn't mouthy and ridiculous. Plus she knows how to work an iron...

It's hilarious when soaps do the whole 'too upset to attend the funeral' thing. Has anyone missed a funeral in real life because it's too sad? I remember when the twins in hollyoaks died their own mother didn't show up. Hmm

BlueThursday · 19/01/2016 18:21

I see Nancy is conflicted with being a licence holder. I know many many Muslims who sell alcohol (and lottery tickets) as sadly a competitor will gladly come along.

I'm trying to remember if I remember alcohol being sold in the restaurant?

On another note man is Patrick as randy as ever! Remember his trysts with Pat Grin

BlueThursday · 19/01/2016 18:22

Lols at trying to remember if I remember Blush

MagpieCursedTea · 19/01/2016 18:38

Patrick is such a player!

Good point about the Masoods selling alcohol in their restaurant, I'm fairly certain they did. I think for Nancy, it might be more about the pub being a business based on alcohol rather than just a part of it?

20thcenturyschizoidwoman · 19/01/2016 18:49

I have been watching Stacey with interest.

I had post natal psychosis 24 years ago after the birth of my last child. I was admitted to a mother and baby unit.

It has brought back memories .... I remember very little tbh of the first year of my baby's life but what I do remember is being unable to walk. I could only crawl or creep on my haunches... God knows why. I also wanted to get into cupboards or behind the washing machine - my husband of the time would find me regularly in a kitchen cupboard crouched down. I also had delusions - I was going to write a book about PNP and publish it and apparently I was convinced I had invented strange things - tin openers being one of them.

Having PNP made me afraid of having another baby so i she was my last one of two.

I have had one nervous breakdown since but I have been med free and mentally well for over 11 years. I still worry when I feel down and I do panic it is all coming back. I have re married and my husband has only ever seen me well but he keeps an eye on me. I still do my list

Am I looking forward to something?
Am I looking after myself?
Have I seen other people and spoken to then except for family?

There are other questions but I feel these ensure I calm down and realise we can all feel shitty but it doesn't mean I am hurtling down the spiral of doom .

Sorry rambled on there.

MissBattleaxe · 19/01/2016 18:51

I love Rudolph Walker. I wish they'd give him more to do.

Jasonandyawegunorts · 19/01/2016 18:53

Me too, recently he's only popped up at funerals.

MrsJayy · 19/01/2016 18:56

The Agee bagee had a bar it depends how religious they are I guess shabs is deeply religious and sells fags and booze at the minute mart. My aunt has bi polar and is nervy like Jean I know not everybody with bi polar acts like Jean but as soon as Jean came into EE that is who she reminded me of

MagpieCursedTea · 19/01/2016 19:01

20thcentury it's been a difficult watch hasn't it? I'm glad you've recovered so well.

notquitehuman · 19/01/2016 19:34

Flowers for you 20thcenturyschizoidwoman. Sounds like a bloody awful thing to go through. I'm glad you've got coping mechanisms in place now.

Yeah I wondered whether Muslims could work in pubs. As long as she's not partaking I don't see the problem. Mind you, quite a few younger Muslims I know will drink alcohol. But I guess if you convert then you're expected to be stricter.

Akire · 19/01/2016 19:41

A lot Muslims woulnt even touch alcohol I've had Muslim agency carers who woulnt move a bag of shopping from the hall because it had bottle of wine in it some say even not to work where it's sold.
