Eastenders gossipers into the new year

New thread for Eastenders gossipers! Who will come back from the dead next?
Will the Bobby storyline ever end?
Will Claudette ever decide on an accent?

They do. The midwives have been shown to be pretty useless on EE though. They didn't notice that Ronnie had switched the babies, even though one of them was born with a club foot. Guess it just cured itself.

MagpieCursedTea · 31/12/2015 12:23

They do visit. They also have it in big letters in your notes if you have bipolar and are trained to look for the warning signs. I got asked about my mood at every visit (poor weight gain meant several visits) with a sideways glance at DH to confirm I was okay. When I did become ill it was picked up very quickly.

I know the stories are for drama but its just a bit rubbish that she is not been noticed to be ill and as for Martin at the pub evety other night urgh and Kat is to wrapped in her own misery to care

buddhasbelly · 31/12/2015 12:59

I also found it very weird that at no point did Martin speak to the midwife at the hospital re the baby being "early" surely in Stacey's notes it would state the number of weeks she was at time of delivery? It just seem a very glossed over aspect of the story.

I'm surprised sonia's not popped round and diagnosed her yet tbh! What's the betting it'll be her?!

DoesntLeftoverTurkeySoupDragOn · 31/12/2015 13:37

Giant Baby Pearl is pretty much lie free. Small deceit because Kim had run from Vincent I guess but basically an honest baby :)

MrsJayy · 31/12/2015 13:48

GBP was born 6 weeks early in the vic bog quite dramatic

MrsJayy · 31/12/2015 13:50

Saying that Kim seems the most ordnary l parent on the square and she is hardly in the cupboard

Gwenhwyfar · 31/12/2015 13:53

"Kim seems the most ordnary l parent on the square"

But the most extraordinary person. I've never met someone as extrovert in real life. Is it a London thing?

Eminybob · 31/12/2015 13:54

I've noticed that, Pearl is the most out-of-her-pram, featured baby in the square. I wonder why that is?

SymphonyofShadows · 31/12/2015 13:59

Perhaps it's that the actress who plays Kim is more hands-on and happy to hold the baby? Ronnie's baby is never out of his pram

DoesntLeftoverTurkeySoupDragOn · 31/12/2015 14:01

I'm sure GBP hasn't grown at all since she was born :o

DoesntLeftoverTurkeySoupDragOn · 31/12/2015 14:02

I don't think there is a baby in Ronnie's pram.

You're right, GBP is the most seen baby on the square - almost normal in the amount of time she is seen and referenced in day to day life.

notquitehuman · 31/12/2015 14:25

Kim is quite an old school South London kinda girl. She reminds me of a couple of people I know who were born and bred in London and had barely ever been outside the city until their teenage years. Perhaps Pearl gets seen more often because the wardrobe department have so much fun with her!

And yes, Sonia will be the one to diagnose. Sonia must have secretly trained as a nurse, midwife, and doctor when she was at uni.

VashtaNerada · 31/12/2015 14:40

Yes, I've known a few Kims in my time! Have you seen her in in A Beautiful Thing? She pretty much plays a younger version of Kim.
And Pearl's just so cute. Maybe she's a particularly well behaved baby. Or the parent is often on set for another reason.

VashtaNerada · 31/12/2015 17:16

Just checked the schedule and there's NO EASTENDERS tonight. WTF?! Angry

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/12/2015 18:06

but double tomorrow 6.30 and 8 i think

agree if ee hasnt said it, or been shown then no spoilers, doesnt matter if been in radio times (i dont buy that) is still spoiling it for others who hadnt seen/heard the storylines

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/01/2016 12:29

He does get forgotten about a lot playing alone upstairs while all are downstairs running the pub

LineyReborn · 01/01/2016 13:21

They call him Olly though, mostly.
