This one wasn't as good as I expected it to be. Was a but too cliché and quite predictable at times.

I didn't really get how Megan knew Alice. Was it just via the calls?

I think Megan had something to do with the young boy who'd been murdered years before. She knew the real killer or something, and confided in Luther at the time but the wrong person blamed. So she got rid of Alice to keep Luther from going on the run so he could set things right. So I think she's a manipulative sociopath like Alice was.

I think??? I'm confused.

I'm so confused. DH is watching intently though.

It looks like Megan has replaced Alice as the 'beautiful but sociopathic love/hate interest' which is a mistake IMO - Alice was the best! this new actor is not as charismatic.

Silly story overall,but the door is wide open for another series. I miss the old characters though, especially Justin

Please can someone explain the David Bowie connection.
I did really enjoy listening to Robert Smith over the closing credits.

Happy sigh... the best ever tortured, moody detective with fantastically flamboyant OTT serial killer plot lines and a star who looks like he is having a ball. I was on the edge of my seat shouting 'he's behind you' in episode two and 'aaargh .... don't look in the fridge' in episode one. Alice musnt be dead tho, its too good that he finds someone so twisted so fascinating!

There is an explanation about the David Bowie thing, going back to the first episode. I think Luther was confused by the Star Wars quote and thought it was a Bowie lyric - maybe!

I'd thought the David Bowie reference was something to do with the film Labrynth? Must admit though, watching when tired and hiding my eyes from a lot of it meant I was exactly sharp as I should be

Thank you for the link, very interesting. In the last episode the message Luther got from Alice was 'meep meep', used in the Bowie song: Fashion. 'We are the goon squad and we're coming to town meep meep'.

I forgot how scary Luther is. I did really enjoy it and they definitely kept the door open. Though Megan is no Alice. If I was Luther I would have keep a couple of diamonds for back u.

Oh my word , Luther was good . I hid behind the cushion a few times (the fridge moment a prime example). Megan isn't as "on it" as much as Alice but maybe her character will grow. Would love it if Alice was still alive and there was a battle between her and Megan for Luthers attention. Off topic , I can see Idris Elba as James Bond easily , anyone else agree?
