Blondes
I was reading about the fees the other day - quite enlightening.
It is alleged that Chris Eubank is being paid the most (£200,000). However, the Australian Gov takes 25% Tax because their Gov did a deal which insists that the fees are taxed at source of payment (Australia). That can be re-claimed with a lot of form-filling to prove that the celebrity's business is run from the UK and exchange of tax rate / expenses payments are appropriate.
That puts Duncan Bannatyne in a mess - he has 2 off-shore accounts!
But then the celebrity's Manager gets a 30% fee for securing the deal.
Most of the celebrities are trying to come out with a NEW career, so future payments are what they are after.
Tony Blackburn (King of the Jungle - series 1) is still being touted on This Morning.
Christopher Biggins (king of the Jungle - series 7) got pantomime out of winning. He is also a regular on ITV This Morning ever since.
Katy Price (Jordan) and Peter Andre shot into the Reality stakes with their own TV programmes when they "found love in the jungle".
Kerry Katona (Queen of the Jungle - series 3) 'blew' her resurrection - but managed to make an ITV2 reality series.
Joe Pasquale (King of the Jungle -series 4) has always admitted that he got a 2nd career out of IAC.
Carol Thatcher (Queen of the Jungle - series 5) was also offered another reality programme (How to be a London Cabbie). It was a well-deserved win IMO but she blew the TV opportunity by reverting to 'type' in her cabbie series. She showed herself to be an unlikeable person who put those who she considered beneath her 'down'. (A bit like Lady C is doing now)
I don't know what happened to Phil Tuffnell (King of the Jungle - series 2) after he won. Perhaps he was not media-savvy.
Matt Willis (King of the Jungle - series 6) started to build a presenting career, until his wife (Emma Willis) was preferred. Emma presents CBB House - she took over from Davina McCall and Rylan.
Joe Swash (King of the Jungle - series 8) is just the grubbiest IACGMOH winner that I have ever watched. But now he is the mainstay of the ITV2 follow-up programme. He thinks it is funny to kiss any unsuspecting man that comes into his path. But there is his career move....
I simply loved Gino D'Acampo (King of the Jungle - series 9) from his already established career as a cook on This Morning. But he nearly blew it when he caught, killed and cooked a rat and invited all his Snake Rock camp mates eat it. That was the first time that ITV admitted that all the critters used in the show are 'pets'. Gino D'Acampo faced cruelty charges for that.
Stacey Solomon (Queen of the Jungle - series 10) is still on our TV screens - but it is not about her X-factor singing career is it? She now participates as a commentator and is a guest on TV quiz shows.
So will:
- Lady C get her new contract to play a pantomime villain (The Wicked Witch in Snow White)?
- Chris Eubank play Dandini is Cinderella?
- Duncan Bannatyne ever get back onto the Rich List after he lost £430m during his last divorce?
- Vicky become Queen of the Jungle 2015?
