I don't think this is a great secret but she says that Craig is absolutely lovely -really sweet and good-natured.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 08/11/2015 21:32

Was that yesterday's or last week Tensmumym? I can't see Kellie, Kevin or Kristina during Jay's bit last night.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 08/11/2015 21:33

Oh, sorry, after the jive. I will have a look. Smile

Horsemad · 08/11/2015 21:35

Definitely Carol's time to go. I wasn't overstruck by Georgia & Giovanni's dance. Looked good, but didn't make me want to get up and dance.

Like NPP's Charleston, and liked Jay & Aliona also. Thought they looked fab together.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 08/11/2015 21:37

Meh! She smiled at Kristina and slipped past her to snuggle up to Kevin. No elbowing and you can still see Kristina's face after the move. Damn, I was hoping for a fight. Wink

Tensmumym · 08/11/2015 21:43
you need to look at about 5:51 to see the manoeuvre.
BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 08/11/2015 22:05

Actually, Kevin isn't there. Is that Brendan's hand on Kellie's shoulder? Anyway, tactical manoeuvring definitely, but no elbowing (have watched closely several times).

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 08/11/2015 23:05

Place marking Smile Really need to catch up!

RascarCapac · 08/11/2015 23:23

Look, I know this is a bit mean spirited of me, but, erm, Pasha seems to be a bit portly this series...

Ed1tY0urPr0f1le · 09/11/2015 01:10

Kelly's skirt looks like Per Una.

Grin
Inkanta · 09/11/2015 03:01

Kelly was let down by her costume. The top in particular was really awful and badly put together - like an afterthought in the sewing room.

digerd · 09/11/2015 09:02

Rascar
Yes, I and others have also noticed that. But we still love him.

Georgie is another shortie and her samba runs looked most odd and the whole dance looked rushed, but I loved her skirt. Think Giovanni made it too difficult for her to impress Len.

Kevin is conspicuous in the group dances as stuck in the middle infront and giving it OTT energy and eyes and teeth - typical for stage dancers.

ThursdayLastWeek · 09/11/2015 09:13

God yes eyes and teeth perfectly sums up KFG

Kellie looked fantastic in her Charleston dress, the shape and style really suited her I have no idea why wardrobe keep putting her in 50's style dresses which do absolutely nothing for her except make her look frumpy.

I do wish KFG (and Pasha) would wear trousers that fit properly, they always look as if they are at least one size too small, they pull across the front and round the pockets and ruin the line.

ThursdayLastWeek · 09/11/2015 09:27

I agree with everything you wrote there emotions

I will add that I feel they could be a bit kinder to Jamelia to flatter her, and kinder to Anita as in stop making her look a twat Grin

emotionsecho · 09/11/2015 09:46

I sometimes feel wardrobe really don't like some celebrities (and possiby pro dancers as well)Grin.

GruntledOne · 09/11/2015 10:00

The men's clothes do seem to be on the small side this time round - I noticed the buttons on Anton's waistcoat were under strain.

TheDrsDocMartens · 09/11/2015 12:40

BBC budget cuts effecting costumes? Wink

Didn't watch last night but dh sent text updatesGrin interesting to see K&K in dance off as the eastenders vote should be a decent one especially compared to Katie/Anita's fan base.
I'm happy for Jeremy to get a bit further as he's obviously doing his absolute best and I'm not convinced Carole could let herself go to do that.

digerd · 09/11/2015 17:46

Wasn't Helen left to the last to be told she was through? Remember her eyes looked larger than ever as she waited.
Wonder if she will ever be in the bottom 2?
Her legs were very stiff in the rumba but still looked good.

emotionsecho · 09/11/2015 17:51

Yes Helen was left until the very end it was just her and Carol left to hear their fate, I thought she was going to keel over at one point and even afterwards she seemed really shaken.

digerd · 09/11/2015 18:14

They say "in no particular order". Just wonder if that is true.
K&K having been already told they were in the bottom 2 must have really worried Helen that she could be too.

emotionsecho · 09/11/2015 19:28

I'm suspicious of the 'in no particular order' thing.

ArtfulPuss · 09/11/2015 21:26

Hello. I need help. First and foremost because DD (8) has decided she wants to go to school on Friday dressed as Jeremy Vine. The theme for the non-uniform day in aid of Children in Need is 'someone who has inspired them' and she says she admires his perseverance, even though 'his dancing is nearly as bad as dad's'. I don't even know where to start with that… any ideas?

Actually I do worry she's taking Strictly a little too seriously. She cried (real tears) when Carole left on Sunday.

This is the first year any of us have watched it properly, and it has become the highlight of the week for the DCs; DS1 (10) likes to comment on the outfits, and DS2 (5) strikes a mean paso doble pose.

Family favourites are Anita, Georgia, Jeremy and Jay, though after having watched the Karen + Mark AT as mentioned upthread, I thought Jay + Aliona's this week was (a) too fast and (b) not passionate enough.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 09/11/2015 21:33

Aww, that's lovely Artful. My DCs (now 9 and 11) have been watching it properly for three or four years now and we do get tears when favourites go out, DD was REALLY upset when Russell Grant went out a couple of years ago. DS is fascinated by the scoring and leaderboard as well as having strong opinions on the costumes and dancing (the brighter and faster the better).

I'm not sure what to suggest for dressing as Jeremy, maybe whatever he wore for the Hallowe'en edition?
