Jamelia's hands and arms were much improved and the whole dance was more controlled and less frantic/wild, but I shall miss JV .

I think I may have voted for Jeremy on the basis of the Paso description... :)

I think Jamelia comes over ok on Strictly. She was the first to congratulate Georgia after her dance and she checked that she wasn't stealing Jeremy's moment by going to them too early.

I'll miss Jeremy's joy. Helen's definitely channeling Betty Boop, (showing my age)

Isn't it interesting that Peter is never on at the end complimenting the departing dancer. The BBC only shows him talking about himself.

Surely the bets are off for jamelia going next week, the judges wouldn't save anyone else over her, and she's bound to be in the dance off again as it's so obvious the Great British Public don't like her. So we can just relax and enjoy the lovely Blackpool backdrop. I must say I have a quick sneaky look at the strictly spoiler each week as I find the results show generally really dull.

I think five dance offs might be a record.
I thought her comment about having danced more than anyone else was quite amusing. It can't have been easy.

I also know very little about dance, and am very biased towards Jay

But - I think Kevin and Kelly were overmarked to keep them out of the dance off again - I thought their routine was horrible, I also thought Helen was overmarked - her head was flying about all over the places, ditto Peter whose feet were totally hidden by smoke and who has made no progress IMO from the first show. I thought Katie's rumba deserved a higher mark than Kellie's samba which looked quite stiff legged to me.

So in my conspiracy theory world I conclude they are not very popular - and judges are bumping them up the board to give them extra overall mark.

Some people always seem undermarked - Jay and Anita mainly - Jay show excellent technique but gets criticised for lack of performance skills - but his technical ability seems to count for very little (especially with Craig) - performance always seems to get marked above technique. Both elements should come into it.

I am guessing Jeremy and Jay (Jay having the higher vote) are popular with the public, therefore in order to get Jeremy in the dance off they put Jay just above him and assume Jay will get his usual number of votes and create a bigger gap between Jeremy and the rest of the board so that mathematically it is likely Jeremy will be int he DO.

It is entirely possible probable that this is nonsense and I have gone bonkers and become overinvested in a TV reality show

Georgia is not my favourite but she dances well and I thought she (almost) deserved tens (she was out of synch in a couple of places - or maybe Joe Varney was !)

Sooty - I've noticed that, but I'm assuming that they cut him talking about the departing dancer. He can't be that self obsessed.

Won't be the same without Jeremy. He really didn't want to let go of Karen did he. You just know he's going to miss it so much.

Yesterday I was mainly tutting about Georgia loving Roxie Hart and doing the Velma Kelly dance.
That and Helen from call the midwife....I thought she was being dragged about like a rag doll, so no idea why she was scored so highly

Tonight I only caught JV being consoled at the end and then being too handsy.

Poor Jeremy. His partner is lovely but how can you look good on a dance floor when you're head and shoulders above her? Stuffed from the start. Who knows how good he might have been.

I definitely don't think they were trying to get rid of Jeremy. The pimp slot is normally given for a reason, and it does sound like they were planning a huge production number for him for Blackpool - they like to have a comedy duffer to play with there, and it gives them lots of "OMG, did you see that?" buzz. The GBP let them down, possibly by panicking and all voting for Jay.

Likewise I don't think they're conspiring against Jay, but I do think they're trying to peg him back a bit in order to keep some competitive interest and narrative drive in the series. I assume he's shipping votes by the tonne.

Next week's vote will be interesting - who will be in the dance off against Jamelia? The one thing we have learned today, (along with the fact that Jay has a solid vote, which we could have guessed) is that Anita has some sort of voting base, which is a relief - I feared, on the basis of the available evidence, that she might have no votes at all.

And yes, I was also yelling "let go of her you old perve!" at the end. Definitely a bit much.

I didn't see anything wrong with Jeremy's behaviour during the final dance.
