That Kathy returns after committing /being party to fraud for many many years and hands herself into the police storyline was over rather quickly! No drama whatsoever. Though I am relieved it's over, it's actually a fairly boring storyline.

Does everyone - Ian, Phil etc - know Gavin is Sharon's dad? Or is that another humongous Xmas Day secret?

Yeah the police don't seem interested in Kathy or Ronnie. Vincent is just an informer he doesn't have the power to make it go away.

How on earth can Shabnam be pregnant (she thinks she is, it's not confirmed)? She went on a 2 week honeymoon and has just come back. She won't have been sleeping with Kush before the wedding. Now her period is 3 weeks late so she would have been fertile 5 weeks ago. Come on EE, give us some actual credit here.

Stacey is really unlikeable. She is interfering and whiny. Piss off and mind your own business ffs! I think it's 1 month until Deans comeuppance, other stuff happens first. Roll on the comeuppance as it's dragged on far too long, yet again!

Let's not forget how amazingly fertile Kush is. He can get women pregnant with just a meaningful glance across the square, look at Stacey.

One thing I don't understand is the way female friendships are portrayed in EE. Characters seem to become 'best friends' after 5 minutes, but they are often quite rude and horrible to one another. Is that normal? I don't have any friends that I would speak to, or who would speak to me, the way Stacey and Shabnam speak to each other! They're always falling out, telling each other to go away, etc. Sharon and Linda is another odd one. And I never understood why Lauren and Lucy were friends at all - they seemed to hate each other.
OTOH Denise's developing friendship with Carmel seems more natural, so I hope the writers are kind to them and allow it to continue.

I think Denise and Carmel are a great pairing. I'm loving Carmel she is a nice character.

Throw in Donna and a crate of wine you'd have a cracking night out!
