jenk1 · 06/12/2006 12:54

she,s on tonight at 8pm on BBC2

Nigella is back in her kitchen at a time when the nights are drawing in and most of us are up for a bit of extended kitchen work. As always Nigella's mantra is that cooking should be fun, if it becomes stressful then you're not doing it right.

In these three pre Christmas programmes Nigella lays out her philosophy for not only coping with but actively enjoying

I want to be her ! She's amazing, thanks for the reminder

JackieNoHoHo · 06/12/2006 12:57

I'll be watching too. She's been all over the place promoting it, hasn't she.

MrsMillsletoe · 06/12/2006 12:58

I have put up my Christmas kitchen curtains today in preparation

JackieNoHoHo · 06/12/2006 13:00

Blimey, MrsMillsletoe. We haven't got any Christmas decorations up yet, so I'm very impressed, and even more impressed taht you've got special Christmas curtains[.

cupcakes · 06/12/2006 13:00

foxtrottothefestivegrotto · 06/12/2006 13:02

ooh i love her. I bumped into her once and she smiled at me, it felt like a gift from the deities
And DH is out tonight, so i can watch uninterupted.

MrsMillsletoe · 06/12/2006 13:04

No link unfortunately. They're red and cream checked with red hearts on a top trim sort of thing. Goodness me, keep up will you!

Think Scandinavian style and youll be almost there. Also in the kitchen in a perfectly decorated gingerbread house, finished last night and making the kitchen smell delish.

foxtrottothefestivegrotto · 06/12/2006 13:05

do you look like nigella too mrs M?

MrsMillsletoe · 06/12/2006 13:06

Just watched her show and LOVED it- feel v Christmasy now and want to get cooking sweet little gingerbread cookies with the kids after school tomorrow.....
Where do we get her recipes though? Do you think they might be on BBC website somewhere?

MrsMillsletoe · 06/12/2006 21:03

I'll have a go at the apple and cranberry chutney and I have a huge salmon in the freezer, may try her version of gravadlax, that should wind a few of the neighbours up.

Lucycat · 06/12/2006 21:09

How much butter in that cake?

I'm bloody starving now, that ham looked divine, I could smell it through the telly!

JackieNoHoHo · 06/12/2006 21:09

Series webpages here - looks like it has the recipes, which is just as well, as she was really vague about it - in a poetic way, but, still annoyingly vague on quantities.

SnafuOutOfHiding · 06/12/2006 21:10

That ham did look amazing. If Nigella didn't exist we'd have to invent her, I reckon. Although some of the pouting and mugging at the camera was a bit much tonight...

cupcakes · 06/12/2006 21:13

blimey - don't her children look sooo much older.

Lucycat · 06/12/2006 21:13

thanks for that Jackie, i was just going to look for it myself!

cupcakes · 06/12/2006 21:14

jenk - this could be the pan in question

Lucycat · 06/12/2006 21:16

is it this one?

Lucycat · 06/12/2006 21:17

snap cupcakes

winnie · 06/12/2006 21:17

thanks for the link jackieNoHoHo

Nigella is always so vague on her programmes about the actual quantities I felt sure there must be a book coming out.

MerryPiffmas · 06/12/2006 21:18

not much butter of course, just half a kg
yes Nigella how about some BLOODY quantities woman.
Ham looked grand though
Was that her cola ham?
