Thanks Anne -I used to watch Holby when TBFH was in it -he was going to marry (?Patsy Kensit's character?) but turned out he was gay & in the closet. I so want Mrs T to get the job- but they have brought in a 'name' so I reckon TBFH is in the practice manager's seat

Whatever will I watch now at 1-45? I have even resorted to watching knots landing at 6-8 at night. That's really sad but it's so funny, it's terribly sexist it's hilarious, filmed in the days before plastic surgery! Lol

Not watched Corrie since 5 January 2015, apart from watching Deirdre funeral (on catch up, so fast forwarded all the non funeral bits )
Doctors is the only soap I watch, but I listen to The Archers.

I found knots landing when I was bored one day,just flicking through channels, I used to watch late 80's, but they have started right at the beginning in 70's, it's just interesting how the soaps have changed, stuff they got away with them,men slapping the wives,the wives fighting to go out to work while the husbands expected them to stay home.

I LOVED Knotts Landing. The acting was of Doctors standards.

I loved Shortland Street. There was a character called Waverley, and I used to think that was the strangest name ever.

Having read the baby names thread here for many years, I realise it is positively boring compared to some of the the things people want to name their dc..

TheDrsDMs The actress, Anne Kirkbride, died in real life (she played the part of Deirdre) So there was this totally implausible storyline about her dying at her friend Bev's house.
Any how I believe that Deirdre was out of the picture because the actress was ill & this meant her missing our Tracy's wedding to Rob (which didn't happen anyway) and so on... I know a lot for someone who no loner watches it, but this took place in 2014 I think (the non wedding)

I've just looked in Radio Times & there is a new series starting Mon 4th and it says 1 of 10 episodes. So I reckon your right Rose & Doctors is back on 18th. That is a long break!

Not only is it not back until the 18th, but there are some rather alarming "teasers" on the Facebook page.
