Typical doctors that when they do finally get a midwife she is at the surgery when she needs to be at the hospital !
Poor MrsT getting a taste of office politics, Heston wasn't being very nice .

cinnamongreyhound · 29/10/2015 15:00

She will outsmart Heston I'm sure! And hopefully realise her mistake and kick Valerie out!

I felt sorry for the bloke Sad

When I had my babies, there was a midwife that worked at our GP's & one appt would be with her(never had a male midwife) & then the next with GP. So they would alternate iirc.
Is this how it happens now?

cinnamongreyhound · 29/10/2015 17:02

I had none with a gp all with midwife. She worked in several surgeries and was in a different one a set day of the week for clinics as well as home visits postnatally.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 29/10/2015 19:20

Only midwife appointments when had DD.

blamethecat · 29/10/2015 19:25

We had a community midwife run a clinic at the doctors, I only ever saw a mw, initially the same one but by the end different ones as she was on courses or holiday

toldmywrath · 30/10/2015 13:41

I think things were more joined up when I had mine.
With my 2nd & 3rd dc my midwife came out to my house to see if I was ready to go into hospital once labour had started (domino scheme it was called) & I had the same one at GP & in the hospital-community midwife.
First dc was a bit hectic -2 weeks early & very fast! No idea who the midwives were., but my own GP came into the hospital to put a couple of stitches in Blush at the memory.

'you'll fall asleep halfway through anyway'

that is EXACTLY the conversation I have with dh pretty much every time we sit down to watch something.

I was going to put 'every night' but figured that could be misconstrued.
