Thought about mentioning Halloween Hell in the title but it's a Sunday morning and some of us may be feeling delicate enough.

You just know that Zoe could handle anything, she makes it look very easy, and isn't stressful to watch. I don't sit there cringing when she's on.

Exactly Sparkling If she can cope with Giovanni doing his "Italian Stallion" act and continue presenting calmlyish Grin She can cope with anything Halloween Grin

I thought Anita was great last night. That was a dance I would love to do. She's brilliant and has such a good personality.

All the women do actually. And Jay is my favourite man in the series and I also love his partner, (I think he should get to the final, but he has been trained in dancing).

Jeremy Vine was awful (he's so cock sure of himself, it makes me cringe). I could well understand Bruno getting the fit of giggles but it was a very odd 'performance' from him last night.

Just place marking (I was out last night and haven't caught up yet). Thanks for the new thread Flowers

Marking place. Back for results.

I'm expecting ainsley and Jeremy in the dance off, but don't really want either of them to leave as they're quite entertaining and seem like lovely people.

Zoe would have dealt far, far better with Bruno and his 'bulls bollocks' outburst, Tess just stood there like a rabbit in the headlights while chaos erupted around her.

Tess has me cringing behind a cushion in the same way Bruce did.

If I were ever on this show ( which I never will be of course) the one judge I would want to impress is Craig - having read his book and his background he really does know what he is talking about. He isn't as over the top as Bruno and he does give praise if they think they deserve it. its a shame he is just seen as the baddie all the time.
Len just seems grumpy all the time these days - I do like him but the victor meldrew impression is just boring now! Darcy is just sweet, bless her. Loved Jay's dancing , he is the reason I tune in now! agree about the women all seeming the same though -

I wonder if Zoe sits there on a Saturday night thinking 'Oh FFS Tess', and Norman is sat there saying his DW should have got the gig?

We need Zoe on for a webchat.

Could you imagine Tess hosting IT2? It would be chaos.

I was wondering whether they were over-marking Ainsley and Jamelia because of the accusations of racism earlier on? It's unfortunate that they (and Jeremy, obviously) are really not good at dancing, neither of them seem to have any sort of natural rhythm, it's all learned steps. I wouldn't be surprised if they were the bottom two this week, despite what I thought was overmarking from the judges.

I'm expecting Ainsley and Jamelia to be in the dance off.

I was wondering about Jamelia. I would imagine her fan base is nil.

I had thought that Jamelia had no rhythm, but her Charleston was surprisingly good if a bit clumpy. So now I think that her problem is that she is flat-footed and it's the high-heels that is making everything go a bit off in the latin. I don't think she'd ever be good at ballroom as she just can't do light and skippy.

I'm envious of her skin. I was watching her speak on a youtube clip and she has no wrinkles at all, but she's not botoxed as her face was very mobile and her nose and brow creased with her facial expressions.

I reckon Ainsley & Jamelia in the dance off with Jamelia saved by the judges.

You lot are harsh on Tess - I quite like her.

The80sgirl Craig was interviewed on ITT last years' he was lovely actually and said it's a deliberate act (to counteract the sugary sweetness I suppose). The audience are so hyper and seem to have left their critical faculties at the door !

Sparklingbrook · 25/10/2015 13:58

You can have her oneowl. Grin I think just as some people can't dance she can't present live shows. But I am sure there's something she could do ok.

The most telling thing about Tess is the way the celebrities don't seem keen to hold her hand while they are judged, I wonder why she insists if they don't want to know? Claude is far emotionally intelligent.

Report
ppeatfruit · 25/10/2015 14:05

'more' emotionally intelligent, of course!

Report
Sparklingbrook · 25/10/2015 14:05

Yes I agree. Tess's body language does not exude empathy/warmth or much real interest. I think I would rather hold Claudia's hand too.

Report
ppeatfruit · 25/10/2015 14:09

Yes I don't like being mean about people but she's in yer face isn't she? And would be better doing something else as you say Sparkling.!

Something pre-recorded perhaps? What did she used to do before this?

Report
Redcrayons · 25/10/2015 14:22

Tess sticks to the script and can't cope when something happens that isn't supposed to. she comes over as fake and insincere.
Claudia is so much better with the dancers, because she can react to stuff that's just happened. Tess never could.
Plus Claudia can laugh at herself, putting on daft hats and doing the silly stuff. Tess never ever does it, and makes her look stiff and humourless in comparison.

Report
Sparklingbrook · 25/10/2015 14:25

Tess has no visible sense of humour. Although she married Vernon so there must be one somewhere. Grin
