Thought about mentioning Halloween Hell in the title but it's a Sunday morning and some of us may be feeling delicate enough.

I'm catching up on the dances I missed last night. What did Craig mean by saying he wanted Anita & Gleb's waltz to be more lyrical?

I think Tess is probably perfectly nice in rl but don't like her in the main presenter role. I'm not sure I like Claudia or Zoe all that much either! Maybe it's just me and I'm impossible to please :) Or perhaps its the producers and script writers who will insist on the format and the awful predictable jokes.

I used to quite like Kate Thornton. I'd like to see Joanne Clifton having a go at the job, or maybe Anton.

JuanPotatoTwo · 01/11/2015 14:06

I think he meant it was stilted and he wanted it to be more floaty and flowy and ethereal fid. Says she who knows nothing about dance :)?

TheAnimatedRemainsOfMaryz · 01/11/2015 14:14

I like Zoe.

I wonder if Zoe and Claudia have worked together - I think they'd be great as a pair. I like Claudia's informal chats with the contestants, and I think Zoe could actually run it as a proper live show!

ilovesooty · 01/11/2015 14:17

I think Anita is getting a lot of votes and possibly the fact that she isn't fawned over by the judges might benefit her.

ilovesooty · 01/11/2015 14:19

Oh please not Anton. At least if he's dancing he has his mouth shut most of the time.

emotionsecho · 01/11/2015 14:21

On the subject of dance technique - last night Len criticised Carol for stepping forward on her heels, but previously has waxed lyrical about heel leads.

Would I be right in thinking that in Ballroom you step forward or backward and place the heel on the floor first whereas in Latin you step forward or backward and put the toe down first? Or am I talking out out of those appendages attached to Bulls that Bruno referenced last week?

Sparklingbrook · 01/11/2015 15:02

Zoe Ball hosted the tour last year. She was great and joined in with the dancing and everything. Hope its her again in January.

CaveMum · 01/11/2015 15:11

Emotionsecho, it depends entirely on the dance style and the figure you are trying to dance. For example Paso is a Latin dance but has a lot of heel leads.

You dance a mix of heel leads and ball flat, it's not the case that you exclusively dance one or the other.

emotionsecho · 01/11/2015 15:15

Thanks CaveMum, so not so simple as I'd hoped thenGrin.

Tensmumym · 01/11/2015 16:26

I hate to have to agree with James Jordan but Kellie's VT was more about the thug Danny Dyer than her. Why the BBC employs him I have no idea.

LOVE how Claudia shuts up PA's wittering - "Scores are in, scores are in."

When will Kirsty learn that if she just doesn't say anything she'll get a few more votes? Kirsty v Jamelia in the dance off but they'll keep Kirsty.

Tensmumym · 01/11/2015 16:28

From Digital Spy: "The next time Peter asks, "Can I just say?" Reply "no". It's never anything we haven't heard already from Mark Wright." Smile

oneowlgirl · 01/11/2015 16:29

Why are you calling Danny Dyer a thug? What's he done??

Sparklingbrook · 01/11/2015 16:40

Something years ago with an agony aunt column in a men's magazine one.

emotionsecho · 01/11/2015 16:40

Tenysmum the BBC always, always advertise an Eastenders episode or storyline to coincide with the Eastenders actor that is currently appearing on SCD, don't recall them ever doing the same for a Coronation Street actor though!

Tensmumym · 01/11/2015 16:42

"Celebrity agony uncle Danny Dyer has told Zoo magazine readers that a heartbroken boyfriend should "cut his ex's face, so no one will want her".

Dyer's reply was published in the latest edition of lads' weekly Zoo, published by Bauer Media, in reponse to a letter from a 23-year-old reader – "Alex, Manchester" – asking for advice on how to get over his split from his girlfriend."

Horsemad · 01/11/2015 16:46

What a lovely chap DD is Hmm

ChessieFL · 01/11/2015 18:04

Sparkling, it's already been announced that Mel Giedroyc is hosting the next tour

Sparklingbrook · 01/11/2015 18:07

Oh no. Sad What a weird choice Chessie. Confused

Minimammoth · 01/11/2015 18:31

Just caught up on last nights dances, I thought most were disappointing. And whizzing on fast forward really shows up the repetitive format. Tess has the same script every week and just parrots the judges. It's getting boring. Even though I love watching the actual dances.

Inkanta · 01/11/2015 18:38

Minimammoth Yes, something feels boring and I can't put my finger on it.

emotionsecho · 01/11/2015 18:43

I must be getting soft but I re-watched on catch-up and thought Tess was better this week.

Fiderer · 01/11/2015 19:21

Loved that chess dance.
