Thought about mentioning Halloween Hell in the title but it's a Sunday morning and some of us may be feeling delicate enough.

Difficult to look good dancing as mummies, wolves etc. And those dangerous horns should not have been worn on Anita's head as restricted the dancing.
Anita has much improved with her performances.

Redcrayons · 31/10/2015 20:51

Jamelia doesn't seem very popular, perhaps she'll be in the dance off.

Carol was probably the weakest tonight, with Jeremy a close runner up. I can't see cArol winning the dance off against any of them.

JuanPotatoTwo · 31/10/2015 21:05

I need more dancing to distract from the teens. Is the twitter spat on-going?

Tanaqui · 31/10/2015 21:17

Think it was "you are creepy aren't you?"!

I agree Anita's horns got in the way of the turns. I liked kellie and Kevin's paso!

Helens rehearsal outfit is mad!

digerd · 31/10/2015 21:42

.

Carol should go but viewers keep voting her in. She should not have been given the rumba to do as it was not entertaining to watch and it is an entertainment programme afterall.

emotionsecho · 31/10/2015 21:44

I think Kirsty and Jamelia or possibly Kirsty and Katie may be in the dance off, I don't think JV will be nor Carol even though I think she should be.

Has the spat ended red?

Redcrayons · 31/10/2015 21:49

Sadly yes, I can never tire of JJ making an idiot of himself.

Although he is frustratingly quite good with the Comments about the dancing.

digerd · 31/10/2015 21:49

JV has at least an entertainment value. I have enjoyed his performances as I did Ainsley and the lovely Natalie.

ThursdayLastWeek · 31/10/2015 22:01

I am catching up now.
I simply can't bear Andre, it literally wouldn't matter how good he is. I can't like him.
Oh for the love of God does he EVER fucking shut up???

Do you think the judges are almost intimidated by Gleb's choreography? They were a bit like that with Artem in the beginning I seem to remember.

emotionsecho · 31/10/2015 22:14

red I think Karen's (JV's partner) reactions to the scores also helps to enamour the public to them, she knows he can't dance but she is never grumpy or 'off' with him or the fact that she hasn't got a decent partner.

That's a good point Thursday they were a bit like that with Artem, I was surprised that Len liked Gleb and Anita's Tango last week. Credit to Craig though as he is more open to unusual choreography, though his mark for Anita and Gleb tonight was too low.

IthoughtATMwasacashpoint · 31/10/2015 22:17

Did anyone else find this week a bit disappointing? Jay, Georgia, and Helen were good but nothing really stood out for me.

I'm slightly confused as to why Anita is always towards the beginning, Jay in the middle and NPP, Kellie and Helen at the end.

No Pants Peter is really beginning to annoy me, he's so very fake and maybe the judges would like Kirsty a bit more if she wasn't talking over them all the time trying to explain herself. it doesn't do her any favours.

Sparklingbrook · 31/10/2015 22:19

I wasn't feeling it at all tonight.

emotionsecho · 31/10/2015 22:26

I think the problem with the 'theme' weeks is the excessive, over the top build up, all the naff vts, and trying to 'fit' the dance to the theme/choice of music and costumes, the actual 'dance' element seems to get lost amongst all the other stuff.

I think Jay's jive stood out so much in the film week because, apart from the dance being so good, it wasn't overtaken by the theme, Jay and Aliona looked 'normal', and they just stood up and got on with the actual dance.

JuanPotatoTwo · 31/10/2015 22:28

When Peter was eulogising about the judges I literally had my fingers in my ears and my eyes shut, saying "make him stop, make him stop". He's unbearably cringy. I actually liked him before Strictly as well.

Sparklingbrook · 31/10/2015 22:29

The best thing about Halloween Strictly was ITT with Marian Keyes and Zoe's bandage dress.

ThursdayLastWeek · 31/10/2015 22:34

I thought G&G were fabulous tonight - tight and sharp and really dancing. Easily the stand out dance for me.

Agree with PP about Jay & Aliona being a bit boring.

SheHasAWildHeart · 31/10/2015 22:56

From the Guardian
"This shouldn’t be called Strictly Come Dancing. It should be called Strictly Come Weathergirls Woodenly Walking Backwards And Forwards In Awful Costumes Accompanied By A Dreadful Cover Version Of A Bad Song Right Before Tess Daly Rotely Observes That Some People Are Standing Up."

emotionsecho · 31/10/2015 22:56

I liked Jay and Aliona's dance, I thought Jay played the wolf well it was subtle and not over the top face pulling crap.

G&G were definitely the best tonight.

emotionsecho · 31/10/2015 22:57

Oops She that's a barbed comment if ever there was one.

Jaxsbum · 31/10/2015 23:01

Gleb looked good in make up though

HSMMaCM · 31/10/2015 23:04

I liked jay and Gleb.

KurriKurri · 31/10/2015 23:05

I agree with you emotionsecho. the judges never give credit for an understated performance. It's the audience at home that vote, not the studio - and the camera picks up subtle facial expressions. You don;t need to be theatrical and over the top. I thought his performance was very cool, and the expression at the end was brilliant.

NPP seems to have made no progress whatsoever - despite the fact that he claims to drink in every utterance from the judges. The faux humility made me feel a bit sick tonight (to be fair though it might have been that I ate too many Halloween sweeties Grin)

JuanPotatoTwo · 31/10/2015 23:06

Gleb as Prince Charming was inspired casting :) Giovanni with eye shadow on looked nice too. The funny thing about he and Georgia is that, no matter how good they are, I can't seem to remember them. I don't know why that is.

Someone over on the other forum is a closet mnetter I reckon (or vice versa). The word 'cockwomble' is being bandied about.

emotionsecho · 31/10/2015 23:21

Face it Juan Gleb as anything is inspired castingGrin.

Agree with everything you said about NPP KurrrKurri, I also think his partner is looking a bit bored with his utterances.

JuanPotatoTwo · 31/10/2015 23:31

Well yes emotions, I can't argue with that :)

And Kurri, it definitely wasn't the sweets, it was Peter.
