Thought about mentioning Halloween Hell in the title but it's a Sunday morning and some of us may be feeling delicate enough.

It was quite well documented at the time, Karen said to Ola during a rehearsal that the choreographers always put Ola at the back of group dances because she was a shit dancer.
I just found this statement from her spokeswoman: ‘On Monday 28th October, Karen Hauer verbally attacked Ola during group pro training. Ola continued with her training as she couldn’t let her partner Ashley [Taylor Dawson] or the show down.

It just left a bad taste in my mouth for the woman, barely been in strictly two minutes and slagging off Ola!
She's just got that saccharine sweetness thing going on when in reality she's a right bitch.

kurriKurri - I read on DS that Jamie and Louise Redknapp were doing it but he dropped out. But that was on DS, so could be complete nonsense.

I'm not too keen on Karen either. The Ola thing is quite mean (if it's true) and she was a bit odd with that Westlife one she had. Fake crying about how proud she was before he'd left.

I like Tristan and don't think he's as over the top/fawning as some are with their partners. However, I don't think he likes Jamelia - he has made several comments suggesting she doesn't listen - and there is no evidence of a warmth between them unlike last year with him and Jennifer.

I find Joanne very irritating. To me she always seems over the top and she makes everything about her. If you compare her with Kristina doing Choreography Corner - Kristina was very clear, concise and interesting - totally lacking in the histrionic side I see in Joanne.

Karen seems to be a very clever choreographer and appears to form a bond with those she partners. The costume department must love her as she always wears the most beautiful dresses. It's noticeable how Kevin is treated differently from any other pro. Last year they went to some seaside resort - was it Blackpool? - where he went as a child and the whole sequence was about him. Claudia sometimes speaks to him first too which never happens with the other pros.

Kevin's parents are dancing royalty and they choreographed one of the opening dances, are they involved in the show in any other way? Might explain the favouritism towards the Cliftons!

Interestingly Kevin has never been in the dance off.

The real life couples always dance together, Kevin & Karen, Alijaz & Janet...there was another couple but can't remember who.

How do you interpret that?

I think he just means that they have a purely professional relationship (a very successful one obviously looking at their dances) and they're not mates and don't have natural chemistry. He's put up a couple of pictures where their body language is saying very different things.

James and Ola Jordon obviously always danced together. I'm pretty sure Vincent and Flavia did too (but I didn't used to watch it when they were together and I think they split up?). Weren't Brendan and Camilla a couple? Assume they danced together, but they too split up (again, before my time). Must be very tricky if they still have to "keep dancing".

Vincent and Flavia continued to dance together after she left him for Matt di Angelo, and still do.

Brendan and Camilla had a very acrimonious breakup after the events of Season 1, and were switched to partnering with other pros on the show thereafter.

The Cutlers danced together on SCD as divorcees until Nicole was sacked but that was a special case presumably.

I think Camilla was still competing at the time, and began to dance with Ian after she split up with Brendan - that was why he joined the show in series 2 (I think).

It used to be more unusual not to be in a 'proper' couple - if you go back to earlier series most of the pros came in couples (not necessarily romantic, some were competitive couples like Anton and Erin).

I don't remember Nicole Cutler at all, perhaps it was one of the series that I didn't watch. If I don't catch the start of it, for whatever reason, then I find it hard to get into it later on. I thought Matthew Cutler was gay, but then I have a malfunctioning gaydar.

The very lovely Matthew Cutler is indeed gay, or possibly bisexual. What was going on in his marriage to Nicole is known only to the two of them.

Yay, score for my gaydar. I also think that KFG might be gay, but like I say I am very often wrong. (For example, two women I used to work with got married a while ago. I sat right beside one of them, they were going together while I was working there, I had no clue.)

I looked up Nicole Cutler on Wiki and she danced with Diarmuid Gavin. I definitely saw that series because I remember him, but I still have no memory of her.

KFG has been married twice though.

Although that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Does anyone know why the utterly divine Ian Waite doesn't dance in the main show anymore, and hasn't for the last few years? I think he's still involved in ITT

He danced a jive with Darcey one year and another showdance routine with her the year after - both dances are on YouTube and I will never get tired of watching them. Both make me want to cry, they are such beautiful routines

I miss Darren and Lilia, they were brilliant - and both won it.

I know KFG has just married Karen, and they do seem very loved up and happy. I suspect I'm basing my opinion on the fact that he gets inside Zoe Ball's exclusion zone. She is very physically close to Ian (understandable as he was her partner) but keeps most of the male pros and celebs at a distance unless they are gay. Except for Kevin, she seems very comfortable dancing in close to him. However, it might just be that he is especially cuddly and unthreatening.

I miss Lilia, I don't miss Darren much, I don't know why. I think I like the dancing of the taller, more willowy men better.

I'd love Ian Waite and Karen Hardy to be judges. Could replace Bruno and Darcey.

Karen Hardy especially would be be fab. I love it when she demonstrates how moves should be done on ITT.
