Morning all.
Hope your on the mend mooj and hope your little one isn't too poorly kelly
Your one shot is fab pix, my dad too has always worked away since him and my mum were married and could definately relate to some of those feelings you described after seeing my mum say goodbye time after time. Lowering the tone slightly, the thought of a naked CJ only illuminated by the light of fairy lights is a lovely thought Grin
dizzy I hope all the house\plumbing stuff gets sorted for you soon. I have given in and read the first two chapters of auh as couldn't sleep after night feeds. I like it but it's gonna be very different to her other two.
Off to get some financial advice today to help me sort returning to work. Dreading it really as I think they are going to say I need to be back full time.

cjwoofwoof · 11/11/2015 09:27

Morning! Sorry to hear about all the rough patches/illness/calamities some of you are going through, hopefully things will settle down soon.

Fantastic one-shot pix hope it turns out to be a two, three four-shot eventually. Ditto to CJ in a pink fairy light hue mads what a very warm and throbbing thought that is.

Off to start Christmas shopping in a bit but not really getting in the vibe tbh. May possibly buy myself something in the Debenhams 25% off sale just to get in the mood, it's usually size 22 left on the racks fortunately.

KellyHb · 11/11/2015 10:18

Well done on the beautifully written chapter pix. It really makes you think about families who have to go through the same uncertainty. Yes, a chapter describing Molly's return would be fab, or am I being greedy?

I wonder if this is a measure of how exciting my life is now, that I'm looking forward to picking up only one child from nursery today? Hmm

Well, BA's birthday tomorrow. Wonder if there'll be any pics of him with The Raff?

Ditto woof I need to start my Xmas shopping but in a way I don't want to because it means once I start, I'll have to continue over the coming weeks and have to face tons of shoppers everywhere I go. Confused

KellyHb · 11/11/2015 10:20

Hope the financial advice goes okay today Maddie. Could you go back part time if you were able to?

Dizzydots · 11/11/2015 10:25

Happy shopping woof (Ann Summers clearance sale for Rup and Matts pressies? )
Hope your little gets better soon kel I'm still looking forward to s2 but mainly just to see BA back on our screens and so far I much prefer him as CJ to anything else. Still Mystified about why he doesn't appear in more productions.
Plumber's been, pipes tightened, leakage stopped. Now onto the decorator!

Dizzydots · 11/11/2015 10:28

Funny you should say that maddie I thought I was going to have to confess to you! Couldn't sleep last night either and went to log on for AUH but couldn't remember how so am resetting - sounds interesting...any qs yet?!

Dizzydots · 11/11/2015 10:31

pixie loved it, please consider extending :)

Ilovelblue · 11/11/2015 12:24

Dizzy: Plumber's been, pipes tightened, leakage stopped - every menopausal woman's dream!

Agree with you about CJ being BA's best role and yes, it's a mystery to me too why he isn't better known.

Spent half the morning with a bunch of apprentices and that makes me feel so old! Spent the other half sorting out some disabled car parking as it fell on me to take responsibility. Not my job at all but somebody had to do it. I could take up a role as a traffic warden if all else fails I guess.

Dizzydots · 11/11/2015 12:38

Haha ilove if only the pipes were tighter! At least there'd be a uniform involved - never seen a traffic warden worth jumping a second look though :/

KellyHb · 11/11/2015 12:51

Is it just me or are all Christmas shopping books not having as much in these days re: Mothercare, Boots etc? I suppose it's to save money and get more people to look online. I like it the old way of having a look through a book rather than internet sometimes.

The Mothercare toy one was like a 2 page booklet Shock

KellyHb · 11/11/2015 13:03

Thanks dizzy. Twin seems to be getting better especially if he's got the strength to argue with his brother like he's doing now Confused

I think at night his chest is worse as he lies flat (although his heads propped up).

pixieg1rl · 11/11/2015 13:57

Thanks for the kind words people. I can't honestly see another chapter in it, but never say never I suppose.

Yes Maddie, let's take a moment and a little lie down to think of a naked CJ lit by fairy lights. Grin

Someone to fix my leaks and tighten my pipes sounds ideal. If only it were that easy.

My DS is an expert at seeming just fine even with a cough and then having a horrible night as well Kelly. Just the lying down seems to set it off. Scarlet fever is currently doing the rounds of his class; I'm hoping because he's antibiotics for something else at the moment it won't get him. This is the child whose had chicken pox twice and hand foot and mouth more times than I care to mention (and he gave it to me), so I won't hold my breath

Call me old fashioned dizzy but Matthias and AT have never complained when a little spillage and a baggy pipe are the end result in my neck of the woods Grin

Dizzydots · 11/11/2015 15:26

And the earth moved too woof, well the ceiling came down, same thing!!

KellyHb · 11/11/2015 16:11

Just heard Alice Levine (Radio 1 DJ who met BA at the ice-cream shop) doing a quiz on the Scott Mills show earlier. If I was Scott Mills, I'd be firing the questions at her about BA!

Excuse my ignorance as I don't know much about the condition pix but your DS had actual foot and mouth, the disease that cattle get?

cjwoofwoof · 11/11/2015 16:29

Oo-er sounds like a normal Saturday night's high spirits to me dizzy Grin

Ditto to pix I've had foot and mouth from my little bleeder too kel and it is the same kind of strain of disease as cows get, although I didn't moo and chew cud like pix did

cjwoofwoof · 11/11/2015 16:30

...but alas my udders never did go back to normal size...

pixieg1rl · 11/11/2015 17:10

There's a reason why Matthias handled those sheep so expertly in far from the madding crowd Kelly, but of course woof is too modest to take the credit.

OP posts:
KellyHb · 11/11/2015 17:31

Sounds scary pix *woof. I assume its something that you don't have to necessarily get from being near cattle? I've heard of animals getting it but not humans Hmm.

pixieg1rl · 11/11/2015 17:39

It's really nothing much Kelly a temperature and itchy blisters.

Thanks pix. Interesting info. You learn something new every day.

MaddieMoo82 · 11/11/2015 21:22

Ooh liking a bit of plumbing inneudo... Grin
dizzy no QS yet but that normally takes a while doesn't. Lots of scene setting and role reversal. I can't help imagining farmer darcy as the plaid shirted CJ at the end of episode 5 Smile
Well finance stuff was a bit rubbish so drowning my sorrows in the biscuit tin. It's not work that's the problem they are pretty good about part time working kelly, more money side our end but need to sit down again and work it all again and might be able to reduce hours slightly. Return to work interview isn't till next month so have a while to plot and plan and find a sugar granddad

Ilovelblue · 11/11/2015 22:06

Evening all.

Visit to the physio was quite good. She's worked on my shoulder and it's eased it quite a lot but she thinks it's the same problem come back, which the doctor told me was not the case. Definitely believe her over him. We're having another session next week then she's going to decide whether or not we can carry on with the physio or whether she will refer me back to the consultant. She says her referral will make the doctor listen to her more than me! Sad but true. So seems the operation might still be an option. Eeeek.

Ilovelblue · 11/11/2015 22:13

For those of you who do Facebook, tell me what you think of this (or even if you don't do Facebook). One of my work colleagues has plastered her FB page with news of his death. Yes, it was very tragic for somebody relatively young but do you think it was her place to post this sort of stuff? What was worse in my view, insensitive almost for the direct family and intrusive, was that some of this person's friends outside of work were writing things like "I am sorry for your loss"; "Hope you're ok" and similar. Am I being boring and old-fashioned or is this taking social media too far? She's a friend of his, not his family.
