I'm going to Chester (well, a village just outside) for the weekend on Saturday morning. I thought I'd best check up on any road closures etc for the Remembrance Day ceremonies on the Sunday but we should be fine for driving into the city centre. I noticed there is a military parade though through the city at 11.20 so I must make sure we watch some of that. It will be a change to see serving Forces' men and women instead of the veterans and cadets at my local service. Is it wrong to drool at a serious service such as Remembrance Day?

No ilove its perfectly fine to drool at Remembrance Day. Sometimes if you have a bunch of servicemen together, it's only natural.

ilove I watched a bit of the Joanne Lumley last night but i couldn't look at Priscella Presley, her face was so odd looking, sort of puffed out and smooth (compared to her neck). An example of not aging gracefully!

No BA sightings today , but it was unlikely at Olympia. Full of yummy mummy's wearing Boden clothing pulling shopping trolleys. We were mostly in the bar area!!! Did see Richard E Grant and the women from Eastenders that was married to the postman.

I hate those trolleys Richtea. The Cheshire set have them at the RHS Flower Show and they infuriate me as they have no concern for anyone else.

I never worked out how old Priscilla Presley was. I must have been asleep at that point. It was the colour of her hair I didn't like. Daft on a woman probably not too far off pensionable age (need to Google her now).

She's 70. Just checked.

I have one of those trolleys for flower shows ilove. They're bloody lethal.

Poor you ilove. Shoulder pain must be dreadful. Both Dp and I have had physio in the past (him for sporting injuries, me for general decreptitude) and paid privately. Cost a fortune although my physio was quite nice looking and kindly didn't flinch when he saw me in my knickers for the first time...

kelly didn't you know the collective term for a bunch of servicemen is a 'drool'?

Morning all.

Going to a garden centre this morning for breakfast with my Mam and have a peruse around the Christmas decorations before picking the boys up at dinnertime.

Then this afternoon going on a school trip into town with DD's class and observing something to do with transport.

Oh yes orph well aware of the drooling especially this time of year.

Thanks orphan. So far today it's not been too bad but I felt wiped out yesterday.

Maybe 'drool' should be added to the dictionary as a collective noun.

Talking of such things, I heard on the news yesterday that 'binge watching' is a new phrase. Means watching three or more episodes of a TV series back to back. Rings a bell somewhere. Did we invent that phrase? :)

Thanks for asking ilove. She's very tired still but she's getting used to being up and about more now. She has to have physio on her arm as that was affected in her operation she had to have but all in all, she's doing not too bad at all touch wood

Have fun today kelly love garden centres at Xmas although our local one is very expensive so usually just go for a look round rather than buy anything. Have a nice lunch with your mum too, your afternoon sounds interesting!

Have fun at the garden centre today kelly. I'm having a stressful morning trying to get ready to go to a wedding today. Kids are still off (last day, phew!) all getting ready, heat from hairdryer, wet nails and stressing about my decision to "make do" and not buy a new outfit!!! It's chucking it down and my hair is going to grow, aka crystal tips! I need a glass of something to calm me down.... And breathe

Oo yes Maddie a binge watch of Foxy is a must especially if he's wearing his skin tight wet suit. I'm still watching for evidence of le bulge.

The garden centre was full to bursting with Christmas decorations. I had my eye on a new tree. Ours is too thin and I fancy a bushier one. I'll buy it without DH with me and when I bring it home, he can't moan at me about wanting one as I've already bought it - ha!

Right, off to stand in a freezing train station with 50 kids while they're making notes about goodness knows what. There's a Greggs opposite. Might nip in for a pasty.

We got a great tree online a few years back Kelly. Lovely and bushy. MrP does all that sort of thing. I don't have the patience to shop around and compare stuff. I am the person who puts it up and takes it down.

I'm having a shit of a day. I feel like I've got about 5 people trying to manage me and I'm currently doing 1.5 jobs when I don't even work full time. I've sent my boss a snitty e mail that I'll probably regret later, but I'm getting rather pissed off at the expectations of the place given we're running at 50% staffing at the moment.

Hope your afternoon was better pix, and everyone else xx I spent most of the day waiting for my car to be checked to make sure it wasn't going to burst into flames (it wasn't ... Which is good I suppose, but such a waste of a day!). Had to go into the local town and shop though ... Swings and roundabouts, eh!

I've had an afternoon of two extremes. Went to the train station with the children from DD's year at school and they had to spot how many trains/cars they could see etc. At the station, there was a gorgeous policeman. Dark hair, lovely smile, a bit of a beard growing but a tidy one, he was just yummy. Me and the teaching assistant couldn't take our eyes off him. And I'm sure I instantly turned beetroot when I saw him. He wasn't there when we left to go home. Bummer. I was going to ask him if I could hold his helmet and maybe his truncheon.

Then just come back from the dentist. He's tried to take my tooth out at the back but it wouldn't all come out. He was using huge pliars and did so much drilling/pulling/twisting quite harshly that may cheek feels swollen and a horrible dull ache where the tooth was that I know I'm going to be in pain soon. Stupidly when I was trying to get my antibiotics they'd prescribed, I couldn't get them as the slip wasn't stamped and the dentists was then shut!! So I'm back to taking strong painkillers until DH can get my prescription in the morning! Sorry but feeling quite sorry for myself sulk sulk

Afternoon perked up as soon as I turned the computer off. Gymnastics man was chatting to us this evening when a very cute little girl (about 2) toddled over for a cuddle and my ovaries nearly went up in flames.

Oh Kelly that sounds awful. Hope you can keep topped up with painkillers . Policeman sounds nice shame he you couldn't ask to see his truncheon! Do you know what I thought I saw today.... An incredibly cute binman.... Clearly I need to get out more!
