who's watching?

I'm sad that we won't have Nick this time. And I hope Baggsy gets a tribute of some sort.

Or she could just not choose to profit from living under an oppressive regime

Narp · 18/10/2015 16:01

... by not living there!

regenerationfez · 18/10/2015 20:40

When she said 'I was a podium dancer, not a pole dancer' , I wasn't sure of the distinction in terms of the type of dancing it is. Gyrating on a pole half naked or dancing on a podium half naked would probably both go down like a lead balloon in Dubai!

ElderlyKoreanLady · 18/10/2015 21:18

I thought that regen. I was under the impression that they were pretty much the same thing but podium dancing is slightly less athletic. Shows how much I know if there's a more notable distinction!

regenerationfez · 18/10/2015 21:52

Yes exactly! Pole dancing can be used as exercise and is slightly less sleazy, if anything! I am convinced these candidates are chosen for their entertainment value. Some of them are so incredibly thick I'm surprised they have managed to fill in the application form correctly!

BYOSnowman · 18/10/2015 21:59

pole dancing is incredibly sleazy!

in my day podium dancing wasn't strictly a female preserve and was more about creating the vibe iyswim. clothing reflected the theme (so what they expected the clubbers to wear) rather than skimpy as standard

things have clearly changed!

regenerationfez · 18/10/2015 22:12

I pole danced at a hen party with my auntie 10 years ago!

Moln · 19/10/2015 06:58

For those of us not in the UK what is Seline moaning about?

GruntledOne · 19/10/2015 19:45

She's running some business in Dubai and reckons she's in danger of getting locked up because people think she's an exotic dancer. And apparently it's all the BBC's fault. Despite the fact that she's on social media posing provocatively wearing very little - a fact that has nothing whatsoever to do with the Beeb - and despite all the points made upthread about nobody forcing her either to go on TA or start a business in Dubai knowing her background history wouldn't go down well there.

Moln · 19/10/2015 20:37

Thanks. I can see where's she's coming from totally. No one should be expect to be responsible for their own doings I tell you!!

BastardGoDarkly · 19/10/2015 21:03

Bugger! Why did I think it was on tonight?! :(

eddiemairswife · 19/10/2015 22:10

Wesley, I take it that means you see my point Grin

I normally go out on a Wednesday night, now I don't want to, how sad is that! Though I'll grant I don't like nights out in the winter anyway.

Absolutely.

Finally caught up with the shampoo episode. Women's team really did cock it all up massively, didn't they? They ignored someone who actually deals with hair and shampoo every day day, and is actually passionate about the subject matter, and unstead went with someone who knows shit! Several times! Aisha so deserved to be fired.

And how the fuck do they manage to shower, eat, get dressed, put make-up on and do fancy hairstyles in 20 minutes? I am lucky if my morning toileting gets done in that time.

Oh and those communal showers were awfully see through, weren't they? I wouldn't have showered for weeks if I had to use them with all those people.

emotionsecho · 21/10/2015 14:05

New to the thread, watched both episodes back to back and the usual crop of annoying egoists abound.

I think AS telling the men that their shampoo ad campaign task was the best ever over all the series will lead to them or some individual, suddenly believing they are invincible and everything they suggest/believe is always, always right, much like the one a few series ago who did the Bodyrocker thingy and then refused to believe any idea he had from that point on could possibly be anything other than wonderful. Makes for riveting and amusing viewing though as they are increasingly hoist by their own petard.

Didn't like the follow-up show with Jack Dee, I thought it fell flatter than a pancake.

I couldn't believe how dreadful the woman (can't remember her name) who gave the pitch was, she should definitely have been sacked alongside Aisha. Why oh why didn't they use the one person in their team who could speak passionately and authoritatively about shampoo.

I struggle to believe that some of these contestants are actually gainfully employed.

GruntledOne · 21/10/2015 16:08

Dillite, not only do they manage to do all that, but last time they also showed some of them drinking tea which they had presumably had time to make.

Seems to me perfectly clear that in fact they get some sort of prior warning before the phone call. Wasn't there one day when a couple of the girls were up and about before a call at around 5.30 a.m?

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 21/10/2015 16:46

I do my morning routine in 17 minutes. That's from getting out of bed to going out the front door. It's perfectly timed - toilet, teeth, hair, make-up, clothes, drink, bag, coat, door.

I don't shower before work though (my hair is too long and takes an age to dry, well over an hour, so I'd always be going in wet!) and I can't eat breakfast until at least 9:30am.

I prefer sleep to getting ready leisurely so I've trained myself in speed! Ha.

dillite · 21/10/2015 18:23

I don't shower either in the morning. But I do need to dry my hair as it doesn't dry overnight. Still, 17 minutes! Do you have kids? I'm in awe. But I must eat too or I throw up bile. And have a coffee.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 21/10/2015 21:01

Hello - are we here?

Redcrayons · 21/10/2015 21:04
