Just had an interesting experience. MIL walked into kitchen and caught me having a mini argument with DH and mewarning him to not piss me off'. That'll go down well as her son in her eyes is the best thing since sliced bread Confused

Well, I feel like I haven't posted much the last couple of days apart from the watch-a-long yesterday. DD loved Disney On Ice yesterday. They did Frozen and Toy Story. Excellent choreography of the skaters and a couple of the Prince Charming types reminded me a bit of CJ. Very expensive to go there though. DD asked for a flashy type wand thing from a stall there, that was £21 and that was one of the cheapest things!!

Went to Beamish Museum today with DD's school on a trip. Its like a huge Victorian times museum. I'm not sure how well-known it is really. DD is still traumatised from the Victorian classroom! Randomly there was a couple of gorgeous blokes working there. One was dressed all in navy blue as a pit owner, a lovely waistcoat on with a gold pocket watch (love old fashioned dress) and a sexy beard (if a beard can be sexy) and tousled dark brown hair. I was practically gawping and got a smile off him. Grin

Re: OG news, I don't think it'll be long at all before we hear something. I mean its nearly middle of October now plus Georgia's tweet to SW saying to get his army costume back out. Hmmm. Could be nothing though. But was the first series cast only announced when they met up for a script read-through in Feb 2014?

Evening all. Had a friend round for tea straight after work and who has just gone, so really need to wash up but thought I'd dip into here first of all. I nearly dropped the pudding when I took it out of the oven and burned my thumb as a result and in my haste not to let the dish fall on the floor.

The trip to the dentist was incredibly frustrating as when I got there, the receptionist claimed I had cancelled the appointment last week! I said if I'd cancelled it, why would I be here! I guess they've made a mistake and there will be somebody whose appointment has not been cancelled and who they believe will still be turning up. You can imagine how pleased (not) I was about it.

Kelly I've been to Beamish three times over the years but the last one must have been about 10 years ago. I bet they've added more attractions since then. We stayed in a weird b&b in a place called Tantobie.

Seems quiet on here tonight after the flurry of excitement at the watchalong.

Yes thanks for posting article Maddie. 3 months away filming, ey? Same length of time as last series. Bit of a sulk coming on about 'taking over from Lacey Turner'. Hope LTs not regretting her decision not to be in it. I don't know. Its still very gutting for me. It would've been perfect if she was back and can only imagine how excited I would be at another CJ/LT series. But what can you do?

Hopefully when her and TG met for her to say she wasn't coming back, they arranged a couple of cameo scenes instead. Who knows.

I've heard of Tantobie ilove never been I don't think. Its been years since I was at Beamish but can't remember what was there last time. Sorry about your burnt thumb Hmm

Off to bed as have a horrendous head cold. I think everyone's germs have landed on me now. MIL is going home a day later to help with the kids as my Mum has had a poorly turn and needs to go to hospital tomorrow.

Yeah we just have to hope that TG has it all planned out and even bigger hope that CJ doesn't resign his commission so he is in it too Confused

Oh Kelly sorry to hear that. Your Mum seemed to be doing so well. Hope things go ok at the hospital. You need to take care of yourself too.

Tantobie was a complete dump. The b&b was under new ownership from when we had originally booked. It was so awful that it sticks in my mind even now.

Well, just had to placate Rupert who was in a massive huff cos I hadn't watched Homeland. He wanted to know if I'd noticed his slightly awkward gait due to recovering from the audible crack injury. He was still wearing the heavy duty duct tape whilst filming...

Loved reading the watchalong commentary yet again, particularly ilove's comment that Smurf wasn't worth the bother of tending to after the shooting!

kelly I've been to Beamish a few times but never had the pleasure of spotting anyone yummy. Maybe worth a revisit?

Went to Bordeaux a few years ago ilove but it was only for the day for a music festival so didn't really see the town properly. Saint Emilion was lovely though - or rather the meal and wine we had there was!

Morning,

It's frustrating not knowing if any of the previous cast are going to be in OG. Last time cast was announced when they had the 1st meet up- the photo we see- which was 21 Feb, then they filmed in SA a few weeks later. So on that timeline I think it will be Dec poss Nov. Depends when all contracts etc signed. They could be mean and have CJ as a surprise!!

I think the BBC would be crazy to not have CJ in series 2 . I'll bet they had no idea when they cast the original series that they would get the amazing response that's happened.

It is half term up here, thank god for holiday clubs and accommodating MIL's otherwise I'd be up shit creek.

I will be utterly gobsmacked if there's no CJ in series 2 hope that isn't famous last words. I think everything points to the fact that he will feature.

I'm chuckling to myself as I'm watching CK from breakfast news and she is wearing "The Dress" but in lime green....a colour I haven't seen before!
(Her waist is getting smaller though!)

Please, please, CJ for series 2. I think I will burst when the news breaks. Will we want CJ and MK character to get together.. We do like a "love interest". Sorry kelly I know you want MD back! I just need to see CJ in a romantic/QS scene!

Would love to see CJ in a QS scene but can't imagine TG would involve him again otherwise they would be getting the army on the phone complaining!

The school's holiday club didn't have enough takers to run this half term so I'm the middle of cobbling together a patchwork of days off, friends and finding other places for DS. Our families are too decrepit to help even if they weren't too far away in the first place.
