Following on from thread one.

Caught up on a bit of ITT. Could Kirsty and Brendan sit any further apart on the couch?? I think she must be unpopular with the crew as the editing is mainly showing her complaining about how feet hurt. And was it only me who didn't believe the gorgeous Tristan that the hair pulling wasn't deliberate?

Don't watch ITT but I want Brendan and Anton to swap partners on Strictly.
I love Tristan - and feel for him having to work with Jamelia. Her daughter attended same school as my DD and often saw her, and she also had a real sour-face on.

Brendon never gets on with his partners! he was okayish with Sophie Ellis Bextor I think, but mostly he has trouble. He seems rather arrogant to me although I did feel for him Saturday with having face painting, then Claudia said ' wave to your little boy' and Kirsty said ' what about my little one too?' maybe its just a personality clash!

Well IIW kirstie I'd be complaining about my feet, those shoes and all that practice most normal people would be physical wrecks wouldn't they?

On ITT I think Eliona showed how she 'breaks in' her shoes, so the women pros know what to do with their shoes, maybe the men don't

That's a bit unfair 80s, Brendan seems to have got on well with the vast majority of his partners. He was very protective of Jo Wood when the judges were harsh to her and he was the same with Kelly Brook when Len and co were mean to her during the week that her dad was terminally ill. The only celeb I can think of that he clearly didn't get along with was Lulu and that's because she was awful to him, really rude and nasty!

Christina's shoes. How is she walking? Perhaps they carried her onto the ITT set.

Magical, Brendan didn't get on with Fiona Phillips either - think he struggled with just how bad she was.

Ok, fair point! That was a decade ago though and on the whole, he's very supportive to his partners nowadays.

Minimamouth I must say I didn't notice Christina's shoes but Zoe's were unbelievable last time I looked OMG. Esp. as she says she normally wears flats and those strictly shoes just sit in her cupboard!

Funny you say that about Lulu Magical I wasn't watching SCD when she was on it but I`'ve never thought much of her since she was openly bitchy about another girl singing star.

It is striking how awkward Jay looked in the first group dance. It's difficult to believe he could be a good enough actor to put that on but it's also strange that someone who has done quite a bit of dancing before would have such an awkward gait. Either way he is a joy to watch and seems like nice, self deprecating and quite amusing.

It was mentioned by someone on this thread that Giovanni had been a bit over the top with Zoe on ITT. Can anyone tell me what he did?

Yes Tenysmum he went over to her side of the sofas and smooched up to her cheek a lot. She was really embarrassed but Zoe is a sport and a fun gal, she laughed it off (there wasn't much else she could do apart from stop the filming) I suppose.

Giovanni was going OTT playing his role of the italian stallion. Can't remember what he actually did but remember I cringed.

Will search for a youtube clip of it but not sure there will be one.

Liking the Friday night 1 hour long ITT beginning at 6.

Thanks ppeatfruit and digerd. I'm enjoying the Friday show too but wish they'd get better people on the panel. Do you remember when they would have someone who knew more about the dancing so could actually provide more insightful comments? Also, when are they going to get Marian Keyes back?? A bit surprised that Aleisha Dixon is going to be on tonight since she went over to the dark side :)

To be fair though Tensmumym we are learning quite a bit about the dances in this one. The Karen "who should be a judge" is on twice on TT2 through the week and also the sweet guy who was Zo's partner. He would also be a brilliant judge.

The panellists are more a bit of fun aren't they?

You're right ppeatfruit, it's great having Karen and Ian on more. I wonder how much help they get with choreography. I thought someone said they had a team of people to help them and if that is the case it's a wonder Anton didn't put more stuff in for her to do. I think he had no choice but to accept the blame as it's pretty obvious that Katie is a talented dancer.

I don't think he threw her under the bus though. Perhaps she really couldn't do any more? Maybe she just had a crap week?

I was one who thought that content aside she wasn't great last week - she looked nervous and awkward and like she was playing catch up throughout.

I also think there's a lot of pros who hear the critiscism of "no content" every year and just stand there looking mardy but not actually saying anything. At least he said hold up, hold up, that was me.

My watch stopped at 5.50pm and when I turned over to BBC2 it was already 6.20 so missed the first 20 minutes - sobs.

Still don't know the names of the celebs but Kevin from Grimby's partner looked stunning rehearsing her Fox trot - especially that pose she made at the end. She was very strong in her Charleston last week and seems to have the grace and poise in her upper body too now for her ballroom. So long as she remembers her heel leads I expect 10 from Len and the others, perhaps.
