I read somewhere else that Anton and Katie won't have to do any more latin dances now. Apparently each couple get to decline one dance a year?

So they could decline their next Latin and get away with foxtrot, quicksteps etc. for the rest of their time.

But I don't know enough about the rules tbh.

I have to say that whilst I thought the judges comments were suprisingly cold to her, I don't think she did great. She seemed to mess up the footwork a bit and the lifts clearly didn't go well. I don't think its neccessarily all

Apparently Strictly has rules!! That was news to me!

If I remember rightly from last year some of them who got to the later stages hadn't done all the dances, I don't think they had all done the Argentine Tango for example.

I think a lot of couples have had very samey dances for weeks in a row, before it used to alternate rigidly between Latin and Ballroom but doesn't seem to be the case now.

I preferred it that way too Maryz but there are so many couples now I can see how that would become boring, but I do think they need to have fewer different dances every week and more that can be directly compared between couples.

Men don't actually tend to go out on the rumba - the last one to do so was Paul Daniels yonks ago (stat shamelessly stolen from Monkseal). Sambas are more likely to be fatal IIRC.

But yes everyone does skip one dance, IDK how much choice they get in which one it is - unless they've already done it on a Sport Relief Special in which case that's the one they're obliged to miss on the main show.

And yes time marches on, and whilst Harry Judd comfortably passed the "half your age plus seven" test, my ovaries' need to vote for Jay can only be justified by maternal feelings.

Oh yes, that's lovely Lee Mead. I think he's even single - in a shocking turn of events his marriage ended shortly after his DW appeared on Strictly.
