Okay, there are some questions posed and I don't know the answers:
(1) Is Jo-Jo the girlfriend of:
- Jimmy
- Frankie C, or
- Father Rob who is still in touch by phone?
(2) The car key belonged to a car registered to the Fenwicks?
I can't answer question (1) at this time - no clues.
However, we have explored question (2) since episode 1. Cassie agreed that if the forensic scientists could find the key number, leading to the car, and therefore the owner - that would be "rather cool".
Key No: MS 1165174
At the car showroom we learn:
MS = Morton Spyder
1165 = Month and year of manufacture so .... November 1965
174 = Number assigned to car as it rolled off the production line.
The car was sold as a direct-sale from the factory - 12th January 1966
Reg: 775 UCC
Sold to a Stephen J White (DVLA confirms that S White is only reg owner)
The very frail Mrs White is visited - she says that the car was stolen and never recovered. Stolen from outside the house - Christmas 1975
The car was bought as scrap from Islington Car Pound in 1977 (a police pound). It was an 'unclaimed vehicle towed off the streets'.
DS Sunny asked why it was never returned to the owner.... "Human error - maybe?" is the salvager's answer. "No computers back then. Much harder to cross-reference things."
It was kept for spares until '91 and then it was sold to Steve Bennett. It was a restoration job by that stage.
Address: Steve Bennett, Midwinter Copse, Hazlemere, Surrey, KT18 9HC
The car is a shell, but as Cassie and Sunny are leaving the scrapyard, Sunny spots the distinct tyres of the Mortan Spyder in a trailer. Steve Bennett's son had stripped some parts off the car. When Cassie spotted the BOAC bag, the son recalls that he found it under the spare wheel in the wheel well.
The BOAC bag contains:
- a shirt
- a comb
- toothpaste
- a 1976 diary

I can't find the link from the car to Fenwicks yet.
But I am now alerted
