Binappreciate that, Elderly, but it does spoil things - I did say I realised there were major differences. Id just like. Thread on Telly Addicts about a telly programme to stick to that, not potentially spoil it for everyone. Far, far more people have watched the show than read the comics, so I don't think it's unreasonable to ask them to avoid spooling stuff. I didn't suggest they shouldn't post about it, just that a new thread might be a nice thing to do. A counter suggestion of me doing the same seems...churlish. Oh well. I'll just enjoy the show on my own.

IT wouldn't work man. I got my head chewed off once for talking about something that happened 2 seasons ago for posting spoilers as they hadn't watched it yet.

Speculation and comics don't matter when you're watching it. None of us know what's definitely going to happen.

Not churlish card, it just seems to me that a new thread that specifies in both the title and the OP that nobody should post any comic content or teasers would better suit your needs. This thread doesn't do that and there are even posters here who've gone and looked up storylines from the comics despite not reading them because they enjoy the show and like being able to speculate alongside those who've read the comics. Speculating over what might happen on the show based on what's happened in the comics is still talk about the show, not the comics. And as has been pointed out, there are characters in the show who haven't ever been in the comics, characters still alive who died very early on, characters who've swapped storylines, far more limbs per person in the show, whole story archs that are a product of the show only. Talk about the comics is rarely spoilery. And when it's verged on it, people have alluded to a storyline rather than posted a spoiler.

I don't believe I've read anything that could be a spoiler on here.

A couple of names from the comics have been mentioned but no one has said any more about their characters or their possible storyline. It's not as if anyone has said "ooh, I wonder if Chardonnay will be in this season and kill Rick and lead the group to the statue of liberty like she does in the comics"

You would only know what those stories might be if you go off and Google them and then regret it like me

DO NOT MISS EPISODE 2! I've watched it this morning and it's a real adrenaline rush. I absolutely loved it so will be back tomorrow to talk to you all about it.

In regards to spoilers, I respect that there are many fans who haven't read the comics and I'd never drop a big spoiler. Speculation is fun and part of the anticipation for a new series!
