Blackberry bakewell orphan - you would be very welcome to sample it.

I am on here and haven't yet switched the television off after the news and so something called "Mountain Goats" is on in the background. It's supposed to be a comedy. Rhubarb was it you who commented on it last week? It's complete and utter sh*te.

Good news on the contaminated water front. Received a cheque today from United Utilities for £50.

Rhubarb01 · 04/09/2015 23:09

Yes ilove it was me who commented on it. I am not watching it, surprise, surprise. Mountain Rescue personnel must be appalled at the way they are being portrayed even if it is a comedy - apparently. After all BS42 managed to portray a real job in dangerous circumsntances with both humour and a real sense of what the job was actually about. So it is possible.

Glad you got some money for the water trouble. I was listening to a news article a couple of weeks ago about it and some people said they were drinking the water anyway because they couldn't be bothered to boil everything anymore. Some catering businesses reported that they had to close altogether. good job it's sorted. It's amazing how much we take for granted in this country like clean safe drinking water.

kelly Mr QuickieBehindTheBikeshed has rather lovely brown wavy locks, not unlike CJ. I still don't know what department he's in but I think he has the hots for a young maths teacher judging by the looks he was giving her. Oooh, it's just like Teachers (I loved that series).

orphan · 04/09/2015 23:25

The other new, young and very pretty TAs were complaining about the comments they'd had from male students. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to join in with that conversation.

cjwoofwoof · 04/09/2015 23:30

Ooh orph you might gonna need to turn Mr GiveMeADetentionRightNowInThe StationeryCupboardOverThePhotocopier's attention from Miss LongDivision by trying out your already-proven technique of sitting on his lap and refusing to budge whilst grinding unmercifully in full view of the Deputy Head clever conversation and witty repartis

KellyHb · 04/09/2015 23:32

I can see me wanting daily updates orph on this lovely sounding chap with gorgeous sounding hair!

When I was at school, a few of the teachers were having affairs with each other. It was common knowledge who was with who, although the teachers themselves thought they were being very clever and secretive. Hmm

cjwoofwoof · 04/09/2015 23:35

I'm pretty sure the students have probably already made a nickname up for you orph like Annie McPhee or Godzilla - it's so shallow when they judge someone by looks alone isn't it?

orphan · 04/09/2015 23:51

Well woof when Mr TossMeARubberAndIDontMeanAnEraser turns out to be an art teacher and starts an after school life drawing class with myself as his model, I think you'll find the terms being bandied around will be 'Aphrodite' and 'Venus de Milo but with both arms.'

orphan · 04/09/2015 23:58

Do you think the school will have mufti days when I could pretend to have misheard and turn up in my full Rapunzel ladygarden splendour and bedazzle him?

cjwoofwoof · 05/09/2015 00:11

Good thinking orph perhaps you could boobytrap the staff room doorway so when Mr IveGotAllTheTextbooksINeedInMyBedroomAtHome steps inside the frizzy coiled coiffure, you could lasso him and hoist him up in the air by his ankles and then kiss him sexily like Mary Jane in Spiderman

cjwoofwoof · 05/09/2015 00:18

Obvs he won't be dressed like Spiderman, it's just an analogy of the film...

He'll actually be suitably attired in tight fitting Lycra PE kit or artists smock a la Matthias if he's an Art teacher...or maybe brown checked ill-fitting jacket with leatherette elbow patches, roman sandals and socks if he's a Geography teacher Grin

Nickel45 · 05/09/2015 07:20

Morning.
lola just read the end of Jakes Secret. Absolutely loved it all. Such a brilliant story, are you planning any more non-OG ones? Thank you so much for this one, it was fab :)

pixieg1rl · 05/09/2015 07:21

Art teacher you say orph? Hmm, you can ask if you can see his etchings or maybe recreate the scene from Ghost in the pottery room.

Lucky you being mistaken for the Venus di Milo; I'm a dead ringer for the Venus of Willendorf

icemistOBE · 05/09/2015 07:22

Morning!

Working today but hoping it goes by quickly

Re Twitter - you can search by someone's Twitter name, it will bring up all the tweets where they are mentioned. I tend to 'fave' a tweet if BA is mentioned rather than comment or follow them - don't want to be a stalker lol! I do follow Claire Rafferty as I enjoyed The Fall once I had the chance to sit down and watch it properly!

Got all my tickets for Canada yesterday. Can't quite believe I go Wednesday!!

I'll be on the lookout for "N Manchester woman detained after licking windows of local army recruitment office" headlines then ice

moojangles · 05/09/2015 09:06

Haven't been for a few years but for reasearch purposes I'm off to Families Day this afternoon!

pixieg1rl · 05/09/2015 09:29

Excellent commitment mooj, above and beyond. Full report later?

KellyHb · 05/09/2015 09:42

Morning.

Lots of washing to do but I'll put it off a bit longer by going to IKEA this afternoon. We don't need anything but we'll have a general mooch around.

Love the 3rd photo ice. If they were in a more private place, a kiss would've been lovely then.

I've seen MK on a load of magazine covers this week. I'm trying to imagine BA's profile going stellar after this series if he's in it which I think it will. It would be great if they commissioned a S3 as we were watching S2 and BA still had time to come back with LT.

Why am I thinking about this before 10.00 in the morning?? Strictly's on later. Think I'll watch this series. Wine

pixieg1rl · 05/09/2015 09:53

I'm trying to think of a way to watch strictly, it's in the middle of bath/bed routine

KellyHb · 05/09/2015 10:18

Its in the middle of mine pix. I'll have to record it and watch half an hour later or so. DH said he's not fussed about watching it so I'll have to watch it on my tod.

Unless you fancy doing a mini Strictly watch-a-long pix? I need to comment with someone about ridiculous orange tans etc.

LolaKent14 · 05/09/2015 10:28

Nickel thanx so much! Yes have a couple of ideas... Will be working on them over next couple of weeks!

KeziaOAP · 05/09/2015 10:29

Morning ladies, been AWOL from posting for a few weeks lurking in the background Smile.

Has anyone been collecting the Kellog's free spoon codes? I have 9 codes enough for 3 spoons if anyone would like them to order a Coco Pops inspired CJ/MD spoon send me a pm. The offer runs out at the end of September.

Rhubarb01 · 05/09/2015 10:44

Hello Kezia nice to hear from you. I only thought to myself yesterday that you hadn't been on here for a while. Hope everything is well with you.

Yay to Strictly - love it! Already practising my moves in the kitchen to much exasperated eye rolling from the kids. I think they're getting paired up tonight. How much money on young Georgia to win as she's the obvious tottie this year. I've a soft spot for Jeremy Vine as he's kept me company on many a lunchtime in the last ten years - that happens in the kitchen too - and I do love to shout at him - why are you asking that stupid question? He may be better than expected - here's hoping! I always think Carol Kirkwood comes across as a lovely person and always so well turned out on telly. Hoping I will warm to Peter Andre as a person but all that reality TV puts me off a bit not to mention other connections. Better stop or I'll go through the lot of them and there's another thread for that. Would love to have a watch/chat-along if anyone's around to do that.

Had to smile at one of the trending threads on the right hand side entitled "I've just met my first rude Canadian..." Ice don't worry lots of people saying how nice Canadians are and the person must have been a foreigner. I just love the way you can always identify a Canadian from an American by the strange way they pronounce the word 'About' they always say it a bit like 'Aboot' and that's my key indicator of nationality! Yes I am weird. My family know it.

KeziaOAP · 05/09/2015 11:07

Hello Rhu, feeling a lot better than I was, been laid low with a virus for over 4 weeks, left with a cough and no energy to do anything except reading and watching OG dvd, will have to order another copy for the Watch-a-long mine has started to freeze a certain points!

Looking forward to strictly Carol Kirkwood I like, and the girl from Call the Midwife, can't remember her name!
