Enjoy the ranch trip! I'm imagining CJ there parading around in his cowboy outfit and a big hat to boot teaching ladies the basics about riding (and about horses)

Evening all. Nice to hear the weather isn't so good at home as it's lovely here snd 25 degrees. Went to the Hotel Sacher for their sachertorte (what else), the red bus tour and some shopping as well as lots of strolling to admire the architecture. Completely shattered now.

Well I've had a rubbish evening so far. With it raining all day, we haven't been able to get the boys outside so they've been working mine and DH's nerves all day so me and him have ended up having an argument. We never normally argue but the kids are a handful at the minute.

Was going to write my last chapter tonight but totally not in the mood now so we're going to watch a DVD instead and have a few glasses of

Thank you all for your kind words for yesterday. It all went surprisingly well. No dramas. One BIL wouldn't come in the funeral car! But fortunately didn't cause a stir. It was a lovely send off and the sun was shining.

And today my niece gave birth to a baby girl!! Isobel Rose. I'm so excited (not so excited about being a Great Aunt) make me feel ancient! Having two boys I've just been on a major shopping spree for all things pink.

Am in Chelsea at the moment surrounded by lissome, young things and am feeling rather aged myself. But a bottle of wine is helping to soften the blow...

ilove sounds like you are having a busy time away.... Very jealous of the sachertorte as I have never tried it.
I hope that the ranch contains lots of hot Cowboys strutting around ice. Thinking of Mounties... Didn't there used to be that Mountie programme a few years back.... Was it on bbc? Was he the Canadian CJ back in the day?? Can't remember much about it though.
Enjoy your wine kelly and hope you can relax now. I'm home alone as DP has gone out on his 'wetting the babies head' night. Although DS is now 4 mths old and this is his third time celebrating it so i think he is milking it now was gonna relax in the bath but instead with the help of b and q and YouTube I am fixing the plasterboard wall after the baby gate disaster. Can't really afford to pay someone so trying myself will end up making a complete hash of it and paying someone more to fix my shoddy work. One layer of plaster fixer on just gotta wait and hour for the next layer.... So rock and roll aren't I?!

So glad things went as well as could be expected rich and that the sun was shining. A great aunt too. Congratulations and beautiful name.

Good luck with your plasterboard wall. I wouldn't have a clue with things like that I'm afraid. When CJ's back from Canada with ice I'll arrange for him to pop over to yours for a nice massage.

Evening. Nice pics Ilove glad you're having a good time in spite of the bank card issue. We had a similar issue some years ago with DH apparently using his card to buy petrol at a local garage one day and spending thousands on designer goods in Hong Kong the next. The card company did pick up on this straight away and we didn't suffer as a result.

Glad Canada is good ice. I know it's a working trip but still very envious.

Congratulations richtea on your elevated status and the family's new arrival. I have to confess that I am also a Great Aunt and like you have always thought it sounded unfairly aged. Perhaps it's due to Paddington Bear and his Great Aunt Lucy in deepest darkest Peru. Actually, I would like to start a campaign to have relatives renamed for the following reason:

If my sister is a GRANDmother and MY parents are GREAT Grandparents why does that make me a GREAT aunt. I seriously think that to reflect the correct generational relationship between me, my niece and my niece's daughter I should be called a GRAND aunt and men should be Grand Uncles. Is this worth a petition to parliament do you think? Perhaps a facelift would be an easier option!

There are some lovely hunky men around here though not in the CJ category. Have always preferred the Germanic types in stature and looks really rather than the Latin ones. The trouble is though that in a crowd, they do tend to block the view!

We are off to the Schonbrunn Palace tomorrow and it's allegedly going to be 26C.

I have been reading the JA FF that was recommended in the OG FF page and so far I have read 10 chapters and each chapter has contained QS! There are 59 chapters so hope it continues the same way...

Evening all! Been out to see Legend tonight, was great. Baz Vegas was one of the Ronnie Kray henchmen! Always something to take it back to OG!

I haven't really paid much attention to Legend apart from seeing some trailers for it but wondered how it differs from The Krays which was made in the early 90's with Martin and Gary Kemp playing the brothers? From what I remember of that film there were some unpleasant scenes and after all they weren't very nice people. Does Legend show both sides because the trailers make it look a bit glamorous?

rhu I haven't seen the version with the Kemp brothers. I wouldn't say Legend glamourises the situation. It does start off looking that way but then slowly descends to show exactly how vile they were. It was genuinely easy to forget that TH was playing two roles, he was brilliant and not just saying that cos I fancy the arse off him . It was definitely a better movie than I was expecting it to be.

kelly more like Aston Martins than Audis but too many yummy mummies in size zero skinny jeans for my liking. Of course I'm not at all bitter that I can't even fit my cankles in size zeros, let alone the rest of my legs.

kelly good luck with your feeling up cheering on the marines runners.( Remember: the easiest way to bring down a particularly prime specimen is to launch and grab the ankles. A lasso is also handy to have with you. I carry one with me at all times)
