Sunny today but temperature dropping. Think we're in for a downpour tomorrow.

DH wanted to go down to the Quayside in the around dinnertime and watch the athletics that's normally on the day before GNR. It'll be packed with people and nowhere to park but there's a nice bar right next to Millennium Bridge so that could be an incentive for me to go.

Theres a few photos on Twitter of the Poldark cast doing a script read-through. All the same cast have returned. It makes me b**y annoyed that LT isn't for OG.

I always feel so in awe of all the runners in the GNR and the Marathon kelly, such emotional stories. Do you usually watch?

dizzy yes, we normally do although watching these runners always reminds me how unfit I am! For some reason, I always manage to spot James Cracknel running past me every year

Jen I can't wait for tonight's show as Vicky McClure is on too and she's a fab actress. Apparently TH's wife is having a baby I heard this week.

Hope today went as well as could be expected rich

kelly my dp did the Great North run a couple of times (mainly for the post run massage) but was never felt up en route. Me and the kids never saw the start; we just went to the finish and looked forward to the celebratory dinner afterwards!

Want to go and see Legend - double dose of Tom Hardy.

Oh and update on MrTooYummyToBeATeacher - he is in fact a PE teacher!!! Or he just likes wearing shorts He turned up in the staffroom today in shorts and sat directly opposite me with legs in the man spread position. I was eating my packed lunch, but found the sandwich missed my mouth on several occasions...

I must wax lyrical about a programme I saw last night called Hunted on Channel 4. Did anyone see it? It's about members of the public who pretend they're on the run from the authorities and they have to keep themselves undetected for a few weeks while MI5/CIA experts try and track them down. It was real edge of the seat stuff to me and can't wait to watch next weeks episode.

But there is a guy called Capt David Blakely who used to be Pathfinder/Army type and his job is to drive after these people on the run and try to catch them. He is gorgeous! He's normally dressed in black and was driving a black Range Rover giving it some wellie down the motorway. My ovaries exploded a few times watching him I tell you

Evening all. Not a good start to being in Vienna. Got a call from the bank to say my debit card had been used in the US! We'd only just got to the hotel too when I had the call. They've stopped the card now but at least if I need cash via my credit card, they won't charge interest. Felt a bit sick afterwards. At least they were on it quickly. Very slick train between the airport and city centre once we landed but it's been a long day.

ilove - glad the bank sorted it quickly, but what a pain. Have a lovely holiday though, looking forward to the pictures.

orph you lucky thing. My meeting with the head went OK, but wasn't convinced about the staying over night. However, DSs teacher asked to see me too, and spent a long time with her talking it all through, and feel much better about it all. DS happier too. Still not decided, but at least I feel more in control (I think!).

Finally watching GBBO, love the look of those cheese thingys. Yum! Wish I could cook!!!

Sorry to hear that ilove. Used in the US too? Its clever how banks are straight on it though. Hope it doesn't ruin your holiday.

pix and maddie he wasn't in this week's episode that much but hopefully he'll be in next week's more. Apparently he used to be married to that Jodie Kidd but the marriage only lasted 40 odd days or something due to her unreasonable behaviour or some such.
