ilove I think you should concentrate on rating the cakes and hot chocolates in the various caf??s! I agree with BK that Caf?? Central is a good one, both for decor and range of cakes. It's the one Freud frequented I think. We also ate Sachertorte at Hotel Sacher. I'm sure they add a couple of euros on just for the name.

We drove past that Marines base when we were down your way Maddie. I only saw one marine waiting for a bus. Unfortunately MrP was driving otherwise I would have pulled over and offered him a ride

pixie I'm sure he would have been up for a ride in your car and more

At the base the marines hold a yearly commando challenge where you race over their actual training course for charity. It's almost worth trying to get fit and doing it just to get manhandled through one of the mud pits by a commando or two

When you said commando there mads, I was thinking something entirely different!!

Thank upon all so much for your support over the school thing, got to see the head tomorrow, and DS told his teacher too, so have been summoned to see her too. Eek! Feel a bit nervous ... Although am probably old enough to be her mother!

Well well maddie looks like I'll be moving down to where you live. Having a Marines base is a place worth spending a lot of time outside appreciating
perving onour brave boys.

I can experience the Marines this weekend Maddie as its the Great North Run on Sunday and the race goes past our street so we always watch the runners go past. Every year the Marines run it (about 30 of them) and by the time they get to us, they're extremely sweaty and I tell you the sight of a load them running by you and panting is a very pleasing one indeed. One could even reach out and touch one.

BK, watched BA in Lewis apart from last 10 minutes and going to watch that in a sec if I can get DH off the remote. He does look very young, you're right. He's definitely gotten better looking with age.

Starting to quite fancy Bertie Carvel's character in Doctor Foster. It's a mixture of the tight boxers he wore while straddling his wife in bed and his bare bottom as he was doing the deed and just his general being.

Mmmm.

No, sorry kelly if you'd seen him as Miss Trunchbull, you wouldn't be considering any straddling.

I've been temporarily blinded orph. That's pretty horrific.

Definitely only fancy him in last night's drama!

By the way, Mr BendMeBackwardsOverTheRegister has been keeping a low profile these last few days. I keep sitting near the pretty young Maths teacher in the hope she'll lure him out, but I've obviously scared him off maybe it was licking my lips and staring pointedly at his groin that did it

Ooh pixie thanks. I'm recording it cos dp is working and I like to watch it together, particularly this episode. Dp is perhaps even more disturbed by Gareth's set and blow dry and serial killer smile than me. I feel I may have to watch it through my fingers.

The hair is....interesting. He should find a better hairdresser

And he needs to take a good friend with him to the opticians to choose specs next time.

I've just read all of greenstuff's new one and am now completely gripped by it as usual. After the first chapter, the storyline lost any similarity at all to the novel I'd previously mentioned. I can't wait to see how it pans out and love how that whilst it's reverted to the original OG storyline it's crucially different.

pixie do you think WDYTYA gave him a makeover and employed the same person who did RPJ in the previous series? They managed to make him look like if he was given any honours, it would be a damehood.

Brief check in after a rubbish day, FIL has been in hospital for a couple of weeks, has taken a turn for the worse.
nickel hope all goes well with the teachers, sounds like to ask of a littley-taken 16 year olds away who couldn't manage that.
As for runners in pt kit, get all sorts here aswell as raf-army, paras.. Managed to time summer dog walks well this year!

Just looking in tonight TV Times especially at the photo of Gareth Malone now you mentioned him. What's happened to his hair? He looks like he's transitioning!

Back home from a non-sighting trip to Exeter, you can stand down mooj! You did make me think frank, at least you may have seen BA, even if he was in a pram (lol), when I was at uni he wouldn't even have been a twinkle in his parents eyes :(

kelly I'm looking forward to watching Doctor foster now after the little scene you have painted in my head.... Sounds like a nice little bit of smut to enjoy enjoy the marines as they run past.... Maybe you could hand out some water or something and cop a feel as they run past. They did a stretcher run once at a armed forces day and I think I would have paid to go on that stretcher between 6 of them

Maddie, my DD loves to put her hand out for the runners to high-five as they go past. I'll get her to do a high five just as a very tasty looking marine goes past and then shove her out the way and grab him and then definitely cop a feel! I'll blame orphs influence.

Watch it on tv, and you may see it happen in real life

Been busy packing up tonight. I had everything ironed and ready but seemed to be last minute putting it all together. Just checked my bag (again!) for the tickets and passport etc. Realised although we know the name of the hotel and it's on the voucher of course, there's no address so need to have a look in case the taxi driver doesn't know where it is. I'm just not psyched up for this break, not sure why. Probably because it has come too soon since my French holiday. We're going now because it's the only time my friend could get off work.

Thanks BK for your tourist tips! I emailed my friend with your suggestions and pretended you were a work colleague from another site (in fact you now work at the same site as Nickel as far as my friend is concerned. I passed her off as a colleague too when we met up!!)

kelly I think you should do a Pankhurst and throw yourself in front of any particularly tasty runners. After all, the suffragettes were protesting for women's rights and you'd be protesting for the right to cop a feel.

I was up mega early to shower etc before all the hot water has been used by only the run the hot tap for a deep bath and then let it cool down to get in by my DS!
