Security at a nespreso shop??? That's mad!

I'm sat on couch with one boy wedged against my side and the other on my knee. And both have tablets watching you tube videos whilst Disney junior is on TV. I'm not allowed change the channel because 5yo is watching the TV and his tablet at the same time! (He's also hidden the remote on me) Where's CJ to sort them out

cjwoofwoof · 16/08/2015 08:54

Well Manu just about managed to sort out my foibles last night and is resting peacefully whilst I quickly rinse out his loincloth.

kel that's a shame about your tooth - a bit of a bummer I suppose you could say under the circumstances. My DS once bought his tooth home from youth club still wrapped within a chewed Refresher that had solidified once exposed to air and stuck in a paper towel, but he was insistent he needed it for the Tooth Fairy to visit.

Nickel45 · 16/08/2015 08:57

ilove CJ did you proud! Even a bottle of wine in the fridge we're staying here again!. Nightmare journey but the kids were so good, I thought I'd brought the wrong ones! The DVD player had broken too, so they had to read books!!! pixie, when you head this way leave really, really early! But there is a fab garden centre off jn 22 of the m5 (go north on the a38 for a few minutes) with a brilliant outdoor pirate play area and nice restaurant, which is well worth stopping at ... Particularly if the m5 was as bad as yesterday.

kel, hope you get your tooth sorted x

KellyHb · 16/08/2015 09:11

Morning all.

Thanks for the tooth thoughts. Its annoying especially every time I try to talk I'm whistling like a canary. Grin

pixieg1rl · 16/08/2015 09:17

Ooh, thanks for the tip Nickel. MrP has grand plans of leaving in the wee hours next week. It's all theoretical to him as he wont be around all week to pack all the bags and get things organised. Plus as he's the one with the leisurely morning routine I'm biting my tongue over the idea of 'a quick cup of tea and then we'll head off'

cjwoofwoof · 16/08/2015 09:21

Happy hols nick hopefully the weather will be good for you. That M5 is always chocca in the summer holidays. I spent 5 hours on the M25 a few weeks back - could've done with some Milk Tray and a cream tea that day, esp if CJ, AT and Manu were in the back seat asking "Are we there yet?" I'm sure I could occupy them somehow Grin

orphan · 16/08/2015 09:24

Book yourself an audition for Britain's Got Talent kelly. You could whistle 'Don't go breaking my heart' whilst measuring BA's inside leg. You'd be blindfolded on a unicycle of course but the tricky bit would be getting BA to take part of course.

Unleashing my inner culture vulture today and going to the RA summer exhibition and possibly picnic in Hyde park, but most definitely prosecco will be involved at some point.Smile

orphan · 16/08/2015 09:28

Isn't 'Are we there yet?' the euphemistic phrase Manu pleads asks you whilst he's seeing to your foibles woof?

cjwoofwoof · 16/08/2015 09:36

Indeed orph and guess what? He never is and has to just keep on trying. It takes a very very long time to reach my foibles, and twice as long to satisfy them Grin Have a good day out and try to keep Rupert's concentration this time - you know what he's like if he sniffs my unsatisfied foibles within a 50 mile radius

pixieg1rl · 16/08/2015 09:54

If your foibles can be smelt at a distance of 50 miles woof perhaps Manu should give them a spit and polish while he's down there?

cjwoofwoof · 16/08/2015 10:15

Hence the need to rinse out his loincloth pix as my foibles have a severe tendency to overflow once sniffed out and polished

KellyHb · 16/08/2015 10:46

Enjoy your hols nickel.

Yes orph I should take advantage of my unique situation at the moment. I'd better not talk if I pass any pigeon lofts otherwise I'll have 50 of the birdies flying around me, them thinking I'm calling them home. Confused

Read last night that BA's modelling agency is one of a couple that's being investigated by police for fraud or some such thing. Curious. Hmm

pixieg1rl · 16/08/2015 10:59

Ooh, rhu update!

Realises I don't have time to read it until tonight Sad

KellyHb · 16/08/2015 17:10

In Tesco today I saw Dan the Fruit and Veg man again! Grin He looked as lovely as last week plus I had my phone on me to take a photo. I couldn't get a clear shot but then I remembered I've got a gap in my front teeth the width of the Dartford tunnel and I thought if he's speaks to me as I'll be right next to him, I'll look like a right idiot so I bottled it.

I'll be prepared next week with my camera and all my teeth in. Smile

Then I saw a man wearing the same leg brace as CJ and was walking with a limp. Don't think he was as nice as fruit and veg man and definitely not as nice as CJ but the support was a lovely reminder of our Captain. Wink

Richtea19 · 16/08/2015 19:47

Well I'm back from holiday and underneath a mountain of washing and ironing :( MIL has left, she cleaned my fridge and kitchen drawers, not sure if it was a hint they needed doing! She put the shelves back wrong in the fridge as I can't get my wine in.

Kelly i lost my front tooth about 10 years ago. It was a crown and was old. I was in America on holiday and I bit into a very hard "Feast" ice lolly. Crown went, including the bit of real tooth it was attched to. I spent the rest of the holiday with a gap, I looked like a witch!! Soft ice cream now!

ilove and nickel I hope you are having lovely holidays. I've got holiday blues already as back to work tomorrow. :(

KellyHb · 16/08/2015 21:39

Wow. Its quiet on here today.

I know rich. I'm normally careful not to eat food that's too hard. But this ones been coming loose and then having to get put back in, a few times. I think I need a bridge putting in apparently, so the dentist says. I could write a book with the problems I've had with my teeth over the years.

Hope your first day back goes well for you rich and that you had a fab holiday. I could imagine myself abroad with you when you were posting. Smile I was trying to persuade DH to get us to go abroad in a couple of years when the kids are older.

Ilovelblue · 16/08/2015 21:48

Absolutely kn.....d tonight. The Versailles trip was nearly a write off as the station we should have used was one of about ten which were shut and it took an extra hour to get to the next available one and then a massive queue for the train tickets. When we got to Versailles, there was another massive queue even though we had the pre-booked tickets.

The Japanese outnumbered the rest of us and were so incredibly ignorant. I almost told one of them to ram her selfie stick where the sun didn't shine.

Ilovelblue · 16/08/2015 21:56

I had to laugh at my friend. There were quite a few soldiers at Versailles and she said 'not a patch on Capt James are they?' Do you think she realises I am still obsessed? Maybe my alarm in a morning is a giveaway!? She was right though. They didn't really inspire confidence.

pixieg1rl · 16/08/2015 22:02

I'm sitting down with series 1 of Bluestone 42. I'm a little in love with Nick Medurst.

Rhubarb01 · 16/08/2015 22:10

I've been watching Partners in Crime. N or M is the only Tommy and Tuppence story I've read but it was originally set in 1939/40 and they've been tinkering with the story again. I read the thread about it on here last week and generally people didn't like it. I have to admit I preferred the 1980's version and I wonder whether the BBC weren't too keen on the finished version as they don't usually put out original drama over the summer holiday period, Before that I was watching Guys & Dolls on the iplayer. I'm not a fan of Marlon Brando in general but I've always liked him in this being young, cool and street-wise in a sharp suit.

Ditto to Nick Medhurst Pixie I've got series 1 and 2 and I probably would have felt like Mary if I'd been there.

Ilovelblue · 17/08/2015 07:21

It was Nickel who got me into Bluestone 42 and yes, I got the attraction. He wasn't CJ of course but not half bad!

Last morning in Paris. Our Eurostar is at 15.15. Kelly I will try for the shot of Harpenden station later.

Been a great hol but tiring so sort of not sorry to get back to the UK if you see what I mean.

icemistOBE · 17/08/2015 08:04

Morning.

Glad you've enjoyed your time in France ilove your photos were fab!

Upgraded the laptop to windows 10, need to have a proper play on it later when littlest is having his sleep.

Should be an update from greenstuff today, we've had a great discussion on the FB group about what has happened to Molly Smile

OP posts:
KellyHb · 17/08/2015 09:01

Morning. Not so much of a good one for me as DD woke me up very early talking far too loudly in my ear! Very tired. Confused

Lovely Parisian photo ilove. Pleased you've had a lovely holiday. Did CJ enjoy it too? Oo yes. Harpenden photo always welcome.

I haven't even started that story yet ice. A bit behind once again on FF.

Dentist this afternoon Smile

Dizzydots · 17/08/2015 09:23

I love that story ice and kept hoping for an update yesterday. greenstuff is amazing isn't she, so many new plots and so regular at updating. Thank you to her, I always enjoy her Charles and Molly. Wonder what the fb group think has happened in Missing - will take a look.

Enjoy your last bit of Paris ilove, lovely pictures, was Versailles as gorgeous as it always looks in pics?

Nickel45 · 17/08/2015 09:49

Aah, Nick Medhusrt, I think I found him at the right time after being besotted with CJ ... Scratches an itch, as they say :)

I am really enjoying Partners in Crime, but I'd not watched or read previous Tommy and Tuppence stories, which might help!

Unbelievably the sun is out today, even though rain was fore sat all week. Didn't put sun cream on the kids yesterday, and now littlie has a line half way up her thighs where her swim suit came too. Oops! Hey ho, as my dad says (!) we didn't have sun cream when we were little!

Hope the dentist sorts your tooth kel. Safe journey home ilove.
