With no attractive male contestants this year (not like Steve Backshall last year)' Alijaz is all I've got to gaze longingly at while wishing my DH could dance.

For the pp who had never heard of Jamellia - she was a pop singer and pretty successful too before she ended up on Loose Women. She started out about 15 years ago, which makes me feel old.

Monkseal is on top form There's a picture of Tess I won't spoil for anyone that is v funny.

Any dancey person care to comment on PA's cha cha? Don't understand why he scored so highly. I thought it was clunky and stompy (tech terms)

I think first dances always score higher than they would late in the series don't they?

As for PAs cha cha...great hip action, musicality [sense of rhythm] and snapped his legs back brilliantly! His sense of timing is a "10"!

I think with Alijaz it is the combination of good looks with just how lovely he is to the contestants. He was such a good partner to Alison last year. Some other dancers seem so ungracious if they get someone who struggles a bit. I imagine dancing with him would make you feel like Ginger Rogers even if you were like Judy Murray.

theliverpoolone, you weren't the only one. Saw Daniel on that show on IPlayer and loved his interview. Thought he had came across has having a genuinely good sense of humour and not afraid to have a laugh at himself.

Also wanted to say thanks to Fiderer for linking to Monkseal. Never heard of that blog before and have been literally LOL at reading some of the older SCD blog posts.
