About a month to go before it starts, and they've released the name of the first celeb.

Is it just me, or is Tristran not that great a dancer? I've never had a spine-tingle watching him dance. It's not that he has obvious faults he just doesn't have presence or something.

I missed Aljaz, which is a great pity. I also missed the orange one, so swings and roundabouts.

Just settling down to watch it now. I'm bemused by all the Gleb love, too - he's hot, but not in the same league as Artem, Alijaz or Tristem for me.
Speaking of Tristem, why has he got another no hoper? Jamelia is really unpopular, no? So, unless she is spectacularly good, she'll be an early-ish boot.
Oh, and the hottest new contestant is undoubtedly Oti. Possibly the most beautiful woman with the best body to have ever graced the Strictly stage.

He's lush though.

Well since I don't know anything about Peter Andre and no one's said anything specifically awful, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. I mean, it's not as if he's been getting friendly with a pig or being coy about his reasons for not singing a song

Always the sign of a professional trying to distract from how useless his/her partner is. Likewise when they spend a large chunk of the dance with the sleb standing looking decorative while the pro goes ape dancing round them. I reckon Anton's been passing the technique on to Pasha.

I'm also missing the 'gorgeous' thing with Tristan. He's sort of bland good-looking.

I thought you had to be famous to go on Loose Women but they say Jamelia is just famous for being on it. Can I go on it and get famous for doing f all? I have some "loose" credentials I could tell on TV if paid enough money.
PA irritated me, but mainly for the back to front baseball caps. They looked naff on teenagers in the 80s when they were fashionable. Middle aged men wearing them in 2015 just look sad and silly.

Jamelia is now famous for saying really dim things on Loose Women. Remember all the stuff about shops shouldn't be able to sell plus size clothes?

I'm just catching up with the thread. Really enjoyed both nights, Jeremy and Ainsley were giving it laldy and big Jay is a sweetie. I'm not warming to that Jamelia woman though. I can't be bothered with the whole "ooh ooh im so giggly" shambles.

I love Strictly. Darcy was hilarious when she was in hysterics after Jezza's performance; she still hadn't pulled herself together by the time she had to give her verdict.

Why are people so anti the Orange One? I mean, he's a shameless-self-publicist, and I'd never buy his music, but he's not offensive. He was also pretty a good dancer.

I think the most beautiful woman on strictly is Anita. Not sure if she has any dancing experience but I thought she was lovely to watch. All the female pros seem really tiny. They could do with having more tall or even average size women so the tall men don't have to stoop, although tall women are often discouraged from doing professional dancing because they can't be chucked about as easily.

Which 'orange one'? They're nearly all effing orange, I was wondering when they might be calming down with the fake tans fgs What did anyone think about Tess's 'work' on her eyes? I liked their dresses yesterday but on Friday Claud's looked strange with the 'white bits' hanging over the top.

Wasn't too keen on Tess's red "zig-zag" neckline dress either!

I thought the general standard of the contestants was good. There were no truly bad ones. Though the music they were choosing for all the cha chas was awful. What's wrong with a few traditional songs?
