Kit Harrington is seen in Belfast, still sporting that hair and beard For the read through of the new series. Lots of theories about this in newsfeeds on t'interweb. So what do you think?

We can but hope. Without Jon Snow, they would need another pivotal character on the wall as it is shaping up to be one hell of a battle with the White Walkers.

I personally think he is dead, but resurrected thanks the Melisandre.

NickiFury · 28/07/2015 01:17

I've got a horrible feeling that's it for Jon Snow, at the very least he won't be in Season 6 Sad.

JS, The Watch etc have always been my favourite scenes and I really can't see myself being interested in it if he's not in it. He is just too big a part of it to be gone.

FadedRed · 28/07/2015 09:14

Bump for the day-shift?

OP posts:
Sansarya · 28/07/2015 12:20

There's no way he's really dead. It has to end with him and Daenarys sharing the Iron Throne, it just has to!!

Cloggal · 28/07/2015 12:40

Dead - but will be reborn
What was it Maester Aemon (Targaryen!) said? 'Kill the boy and let the man be born' or something- this is what's happening

lutra3d · 28/07/2015 12:45

I think he'll be brought back by the Red Witch.

MokunMokun · 28/07/2015 12:50

But Charles Dance was around for filming for the last season as they filmed his funeral.

I really hope he isn't dead though.

Abraid2 · 28/07/2015 12:50

Agree with Cloggal about Aemon's words--I've been thinking that for a while. I think too much unresolved plot revolves around JS's parentage for him to go for ever.

GeorgeYeatsAutomaticWriter · 28/07/2015 12:54

FFS OP. Massive spoiler right in the title? Cheers Angry

Betrayedbutsurvived · 28/07/2015 13:00

Huh, how's the title a spoiler? It's just speculation.

I reckon Jon Snow is dead, and not coming back, Azor Ahai on the other hand is about to be reborn in Jons funeral pyre.

Abraid2 · 28/07/2015 13:02

If you've missed that plot development GeorgeYates you must have been living in an internet-free zone for the last month. It's been flagged on every newspaper I've read in print, too.

GeorgeYeatsAutomaticWriter · 28/07/2015 13:04

No, I haven't lived in an internet free zone. Most articles/sites give spoiler warnings so you can decide not to read them.

Flamingopie · 28/07/2015 13:04

Op is asking a question not stating a fact Hmm

I am also of the opinion that he will be brought back by the Red Witch

GeorgeYeatsAutomaticWriter · 28/07/2015 13:05

It's a spoiler for the last season, which isn't out on DVD yet. So unless you have Sky or stream illegally, no opportunity to watch it.

NickiFury · 28/07/2015 13:12

It's not a spoiler, it's a speculative question. And he isn't dead, he was stabbed but we didn't see him actually die, so it is in no way a spoiler unless you just want to stamp your feet and have a little tantrum over it Hmm.

From the books, he has to not be dead but they're not following the books and I can't believe my darling Kit could be such a good liar Sad

GeorgeYeatsAutomaticWriter · 28/07/2015 13:13

Ah NickyFury, why rub it in by giving more details. That's just nasty Sad

NickiFury · 28/07/2015 13:15

Then leave the friffing thread!!!

GeorgeYeatsAutomaticWriter · 28/07/2015 13:16

Anyway, hiding the thread.

People give spoiler warnings on the fucking Neighbours thread, it'd be nice if similar consideration to others could operate here.

I'm not saying don't discuss it - just don't put details of major plot developments in the most recent season IN THE TITLE of the thread. That way it doesn't assault my eyes in Active Threads.

Thanks ever so much.

TheCraicDealer · 28/07/2015 13:18

Most sites put warnings in the days and weeks after the finale aired, not over a month later. If you google "Game of Thrones Season 5" several of the top result headings refer to this particular storyline.

I'm another one for Whatsherface bringing him back. Just way too much unresolved stuff to sort out with his storyline, and that's before you take into account his hair, airport sightings and HBO releasing a line of toys featuring dead characters that doesn't include him.

I hate it when people ruin things but how have any of you used the internet without seeing the news about Jon Snow?!

FadedRed · 28/07/2015 13:25

Sorry if you consider this a spoiler George, it was not meant to be, it is a speculation.
unless you have Sky or stream illegally Not true either, as I do not have Sky nor do I break the broadcasting laws. I paid for a much less expensive short term Now TV contract for the time GoT is on Atlantic, and I have read the books, so knew the potential plot line years ago. It's also been in lots of newspapers and on the Internet, so difficult to avoid.
Thanks to all of you who sprang to my defence here. Smile

GraysAnalogy · 28/07/2015 13:25

And no need for the 'fuck off' either mmmuffins. It's a book/tv show, no need to be nasty to someone over it.

SaskiaRembrandtWasFramed · 28/07/2015 13:29

I said on the thread for series 5 that we hadn't seen the last of him. He'll be back in one form or another.

mmmuffins · 28/07/2015 13:30

Oh I think it is very justified. I am just about to start reading A Feast For Crows and I feel like someone has just told me the ending.

FadedRed you are very selfish.
