Series 2... filming starts Jan 2016

Afternoon. Thanks for the comments on Another World. To be honest I wrote the first chapter months ago and just shelved it but being stuck indoors last week on holiday due to the rain I felt like going back to tie up loose ends and bring it to a proper conclusion after a bit more story. As I started my new job yesterday I'm viewing writing it as a bit of relaxation after trying to absorb masses of information, new systems and terminology. I hate being new in a job especially the first week when you feel like an awkward and annoying spare part who has to keep asking everyone for help. Let's hope that feeling doesn't last!

Sorry rhu I didn't realise yesterday was your first day at your new job! In no time at all you'll feel like part of the furniture. I used to feel like that at new jobs, asking lots of questions but I realised I had to really, to do the job right but it wasn't long before I'd felt like I'd been there years and loved it. I'm sure you will too.

Fingers crossed Kelly. It's a small office and everyone is very friendly and nice including the boss, so I'm hoping it turns out the way I hope it will.

Oh well that's half the battle if the people are nice.

Just having a laugh at the article on the news tonight about changing the voice of the self-service tills to a man. If I remember right someone posted a photo of the lady who boasted being the voice of the tills on her CV posing with BA in a nightclub just before the announcement of series two. Gosh wouldn't it be lovely if BA could have got the job instead. We'd all be spending a fortune in Tescos to hear him say "Please place the item in the bagging area!"

Actually I reckon it could have been the perfect opportunity for a few OG'isms particularly when a queue is forming behind you the till could have triggered "Have some human decency and put some bloody effort into that bag packing" or maybe thoughtful comments on your shopping (a bit like the real life till ladies who often find something to say about items in my basked) such as "I suppose I should be glad you've bought some stilettos!"

Can you imagine it. I would never be away from the shop!

Am shattered from our day at the zoo. L is 'tidying' my mums fridge and K is having a lie down 'just like you do mum'

CJ enjoyed the zoo, and I had lots of ladies sending him lustful looks as we walked around

Rhubarb I thought you were starting next week - sorry, I must be getting mixed up. Glad the people are nice - I reckon that goes a long way to helping you to settle in. Is it a full time or part time role?

Been out with the friend I am going to France with next week to finalise our plans. Had to break the news CJ would be coming with us again. Far from being pleased, she seemed quite put out. CJ is going to have to turn on all his charm and magnetisim to win her round. I don't think she's ever forgiven him for making her sit in the back of my car when we were driving to Bath.

Ilove it's a part-time job. It's actually the first job I've had where I didn't work all day - that sounds weird, I mean in previous part-time jobs I've worked two or three full days a week but this time it's less hours over five days. It's strange leaving part-way through the day but quite nice to be home in the afternoon which will be great when the kids are back at school and I can actually be there when they get home and at meal times. Even though they're getting older they still seem to like seeing me when they come home even if it's only to grunt a bit about the day being boring and then disappear into their rooms. The job's also very local to me - so lots of plus points.

Glad to hear that new job is going well rhu, decent people to work with is half the battle. I'm loving the new story.

Have you seen Queen & Country? I missed it at the cinema but really wanted to see it despite the reviews as I adore Hope and Glory.

No, sadly I don't get to the cinema much. I heard something about a sequel a little while ago but didn't realise it was out/had already been out. Ditto to Hope and Glory - I love that scene where all the kids are sitting in the school air raid shelter with their gas masks on doing their times tables aloud complete with the farting noise every time they inhale and the one where the Canadian boyfriend is outside on Christmas Day and starts making stupid faces through the window whilst everyone else is standing to attention for the National Anthem.

Thinking of the previous post about CJ doing the self-service till voice at Tescos I've just looked at one of the trending threads entitled "They're getting rid of me." When questioned the poster confessed that they were actually the voice of the self-service till and their name is unexpecteditemintheshaggingarea now that would be appropriate for a CJ voiced till!

As it is Rhubarb, I work about a five minute drive from a very large Tesco and am in there at least a couple of times a week. On a matter of principle, I won't use the self-service tills, but if it was CJ's voice there, I could be tempted.

Morning all.

Kids were up early this morning and playing loudly in Lauren's room. Watching them while quickly looking on internet.

I was watching a video on You Tube that one of Ben's gang had posted that they watched live while they were at the Montreal festival. There was a concert on and the lead singer arranged for a man in a wheelchair to be carried through the crowd and join this singer and his band live on stage. The man in the wheelchair loved it and the whole crowd were cheering. I thought what a lovely thing for the lead singer to do. Apparently everyone in the crowd was crying.

In the pic of Ben and his friends that we saw, one of the girls forwarded it calling themselves 'Ben Aldridge Fan Club' so he's obviously making an impression on the ladies/gents. Imagine being at a concert or anywhere with him looking as hot as he did there? Lucky bs

Had a terrible night's sleep, lots of weird dreams, even one with BA in wagamamas but I've forgotten if there was any context to this.

My DD woke up crying this morning as she had a nightmare. If you're at work today pix would they let you have an early finish and then you could go home and chill out for a bit?

One twin was naughty a few minutes ago and decided to open Lauren's box of tiny beads and drop them all over the floor and there's like thousands of them. I had to put some bloody effort in to get them all picked up! He won't be getting a snack this morning.

Tights/pop sock over the Hoover tube Kelly then you can pick up the beads without them going down the Hoover. (Sorry, autocorrect capitalisation there).

I bunked off early yesterday because DS was poorly so I'm in for the long haul today.

He does look especially good in that one doesn't he Lola? Curls, headset, cheekbones, hmmm.
