Looking forward to a great few weeks of tennis!! Should we be asking MNHQ for some balls!!

So who is going to do well this year? Stan has tough first round match against Kyrios......and Nadal is playing Dolgo I think?

Hearts You aren't missing much.

Raahh · 21/06/2015 15:45

last year's final was much better.

GrouchyKiwi · 21/06/2015 15:47

Well done, Andy!

I've always wondered who wants to have the manky sweatbands.

magimedi · 21/06/2015 16:02

Well done Andy!

He played a brilliant match & just overwhelmed Anderson.

All he has to do now is win 7 more matches!!

Looking forward to Wimbledon now, I assume we'll have a new thread for that??

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 21/06/2015 16:14

I'm sure we'll have a new thread, magi.

Well done Andy.

I'm having phone issues. I may have to wish my dad happy father's day via the medium of semaphore or a carrier pigeon.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 21/06/2015 16:16

Yes bring on Wimbledon! Can't wait!

InDespair · 21/06/2015 16:55

well done Andy. Tennis.

and the poster who said Troiki looks like Aaron PAul, well, he really does! cool sunglasses.

I saw a ladies match and thought Miladenovic looks a lot like Baltacha (RIP).

does anone else not like Lisicki? theres just something about her I don't like but cant think wahty it is , she comes across all sweetness and girl next door, but.........

one week to go! Tennis.

and well done Federer too at the Gerry Webber.

hugoagogo · 21/06/2015 17:41

Well done Andy he made that look pretty easy.

I love lisicki she's my favourite woman player, I cried buckets when she fell apart in the wimbledon final. Blush

Raahh · 21/06/2015 17:59

Well, post match I succumbed to sleepGrin . 2 weeks of not sleeping much whilst I looked after the dog have taken the toll. And period pain.

I am really looking forward to Wimbledon. Hope the weather stays ok.

I used to like Lisicki, but all the blonde, plait wearing players morph into one after a whileGrin

Raahh · 21/06/2015 18:02

it was very sad at Wimbledon, even though I was delighted for Marion.

MajesticWhine · 21/06/2015 20:21

Speaking of the women's game, who are you all supporting or looking forward to seeing at Wimbledon? Is Serena going to walk away with it this year?

magimedi · 21/06/2015 20:30

In the womens' game I will support anyone who can beat Serena.

Raahh · 21/06/2015 20:39

Surely not Shrieky, though, magi Shock ? Can't stand her. Dimi should do himself a favour and ditch her Grin

I jinx the women as much as the menSad I had high hope for Simona Halep, but she hasn't had a good year.

I do like Kvitova though.

magimedi · 21/06/2015 20:47

Had forgotten about Shrieky - would almost prefer Serena to win to her.

Meh - but I don't really watch the womens' game - since Martina, Steffi, Jarna etc etc retired.

GrouchyKiwi · 21/06/2015 21:08

I do like Lisicki. I don't know enough about the women's game otherwise.

Raahh · 21/06/2015 21:25

During the Graf years, I probably knew as much about the women as the men. Seles could have potentially been one of the best ever players, what happened to her was awful. She was bloody noisy thoughGrinRecently it has all got a bit dull. And full of identikit eastern Europeans, who seem more bothered by what they achieve off court than on it.

I am not a fan of Venus or Serena, but they are at least personalities. Even if they I don't like their personalities. Grin Or their appalling dress sense.

I loved Henin and Clijsters though- I wish they had been around longer.

MajesticWhine · 21/06/2015 21:44

They're an uninspiring bunch aren't they. Henin and Clijsters were worth watching.

magimedi · 22/06/2015 11:30

It's cold.

It's wet.

And no Tennis to watch.

Roll on next week.

TorianaTollywobbles · 22/06/2015 12:26

I think the aegon open men's tournament at Nottingham this week may be on eurosport?

Raahh · 22/06/2015 12:30

I have just got in from getting Raahhpup's stitches removed, and have discovered both Nottingham and Eastbourne are being shown on EurosportGrin

Dd2 is less than impressed.

Tennis
Raahh · 22/06/2015 12:33

Sadly it is rained off, so I think they are showing Stuttgart.

Raahh · 22/06/2015 12:39

Which suits me, as at least I know this a match that Rafa won Grin Grin

Raahh · 22/06/2015 13:29

His serving was very impressive in Stuttgart- pity he wasn't able to continue it to Queen's.

It is very wet here today. Not Iong til next week though Grin

InDespair · 22/06/2015 16:49

why on sky news last nights sportsline was the 2 mens tournies mentioned (Murray and Federer) but not the womens in Birmingham? bit iffy that.

Also, why is Kim on the front pages? (havent been out but saw the paper review last night on tv).

the match was about Andy, not her.

agreeall identikit women players.

I like Halep, Errani, Suarez-Navarro, Kvitova, Aza, Hanchukova.

I prefer the womens matches in grand slams. and the doubles.

Dodig/Mello are my faves in the mens doubles. Tennis

Raahh · 22/06/2015 17:04

I saw Kim in the paper, didn't stop to look why though. Maybe they caught her smiling for once. Wink
at first I wondered if it was a pregnancy announcement, but didn't care enough to check.

I do like a good doubles match- the Woodies were my favourites.

Saw James Ward before wearing a blue version of the red Co.I
