Looking forward to a great few weeks of tennis!! Should we be asking MNHQ for some balls!!

So who is going to do well this year? Stan has tough first round match against Kyrios......and Nadal is playing Dolgo I think?

John inver cake is really getting on my nerves with his daft questions and constant talking about Raonic's serving Angry

Morgan · 17/06/2015 18:30

Inverdale !

Morgan · 17/06/2015 18:32

Fed is playing in Germany .

Raahh · 17/06/2015 18:38

I think I like Inver Cake better.Grin

They do talk drivel during the match. And excel at pointing out the obvious.

Raahh · 17/06/2015 18:42

right Dogsbollocks up next. Garcia-Lopez can be a threat- disposed of Stan in RG last year. But I do like Dogs, and will forgive him beating Rafa if wins this match.

Right- match not even started, but already mentioned that Dogs beat Rafa 3times.

I'm keeping a tally. Grin

Morgan · 17/06/2015 18:43

Yes inver cake particularly bad at pointing out the obvious and he was talking about cake at one point Smile

Morgan · 17/06/2015 18:47

Raahh feel you may lose count ..

Raahh · 17/06/2015 19:12

I may have already given up. Grin

And now my red button has frozen. Angry

Raahh · 17/06/2015 19:26

Dogs not doing so well now. Sad

BagelwithButter · 17/06/2015 19:36

He was so good against Rafa - what's going on today?

Raahh · 17/06/2015 19:51

I think it's a combination of the fact he was playing a sub-par Rafa, and had nothing to lose, and the fact the Garcia-Lopez is just a solid player.

Also, it's the law that 'giant killers' rarely get much further in a tournament. Grin

Raahh · 17/06/2015 19:52

And I have always liked Dogs- because he is so unconventional. He needs a few more matches to get back to a consistent best.

Raahh · 17/06/2015 20:00

I think, if he puts this loss behind him, and with a reasonable draw, he could do well at Wimbledon. He is a much better player than his current ranking.

BagelwithButter · 17/06/2015 20:51

Yes, I think he can too. Had completely forgotten about him until this Queen's, but remember him from few years ago, when they were saying he could have a bright future.

Raahh · 17/06/2015 21:07

He had a really good year last year (and has lovely hair Grin), but injuries and lack of form means he's really slipped. This last couple of days is the first I'v seen of him all year.

So, I hope Dogs does well. But I'm the kiss of death, really, as I also had high hopes for Gulbis, and his career has been on a downward spiral since he beat Fed at RG last year.

GrouchyKiwi · 18/06/2015 12:32

Andy had better do well today. Need something to cheer me up. Stupid BT didn't do our move request properly and failed to move the broadband to our new number. It's going to take a couple of days to sort. Why are utilities providers uniformly useless?

Raahh · 18/06/2015 12:57

BT are shit, GrouchyAngry .

I'm team Verdasco today, because I like him, and when he's playing well he's fun to watch. I will have to eat h with the sound off, as there will no doubt be dozens of references to their Wimbledon match. If the commentators acknowledge Verdasco is actualky there at all.

Just starting to watch the Dimitrov match, my red button is looking shakey, so not sure how long for. Should be on BBC2 soon, though.

Rafa supposed to be on last in doubles- not sure him and Marc stand much chance against Paes
and Nestor though. But you never know!

Raahh · 18/06/2015 12:58

watch.
.This phone has mind of it's own.

GrouchyKiwi · 18/06/2015 13:08

I quite like Dimitrov. I also liked the lady's stripey dress. But those glasses people are drinking out of are more than a bit ridiculous.

I see that Cilic is up last on Centre Court again. Am I correct that red button coverage will finish at about 8pm like it did on Tuesday? I'd like to watch Cilic's match.

Raahh · 18/06/2015 13:15

the glasses are rather tacky for Queen's club, I think.

Mind you, they seem to let anyone in. so maybe it's not as classy as I thoughtGrin

Oh dear, Dimi.

Raahh · 18/06/2015 13:17

I hope it doesn't go off-it stayed on later than that on Monday when Dimitrov's match had to be held over.

GrouchyKiwi · 18/06/2015 13:20

I don't like it when there are so many aces. I want rallies, chaps.

Raahh · 18/06/2015 13:35

Dimitrov could be in trouble here.

GrouchyKiwi · 18/06/2015 13:51

Tie break going well for Dimi. Just needs to hold serve now, which shouldn't be hard with the number of aces.

Raahh · 18/06/2015 13:56

Match to Muller!
