The commentator's quite right whaj it can go horribly wrong. Obviously, orphan was never quite up to my standard and did try that particular move with Yuri Getemov in Munich 1972, but unfortunately Yuri had rather over-indulged in the ol' steroids and orph had very little to aim at. She decided to just launch herself at the spectating New Zealand rugby team sitting in the front row instead and I believe came away with a bronze that year because her landing was a little too spreadeagled and she didn't point her toes.

orphan · 05/06/2015 14:25

Oh yes the New Zealand rugby team. We're still penis pals as a matter of fact.

cjwoofwoof · 05/06/2015 14:39

I thought they'd broke it off with you orph but I may have misheard the rumour.

Nickel45 · 05/06/2015 14:46

Oh my .... Brilliant! ... But eternally thankful I didn't open that at work!!!!

BK28 · 05/06/2015 15:25

whajeb not where but how on earth did you unearth the early competitive action of woof and orphan??? Amazing sound and visual quality considering they were using pioneering technology for the recordings!! And it hasn't decayed over the time!!!

orphan · 05/06/2015 17:43

BK sadly that footage isn't us but the Cockov twins who were our greatest rivals. Rumour had it that Masha the 'female ' had actually begun life as Dimitri but steroids had taken their toll. If you think their routine was impressive, you should have seen ours. woof was known as The Missile for her unerring ability to hit her target and destroy it.

cjwoofwoof · 05/06/2015 17:50

Whereas orph was known as The Big Crack...

Nickel45 · 05/06/2015 19:00

You could hear a crack in the footage ... I did wonder .... HmmGrin

cjwoofwoof · 05/06/2015 20:12

Indeed Nick although I have to tell you orph s original nickname was The Big Undercrackers but over the years the name got shortened to a more appropriate one Grin

orphan · 05/06/2015 20:15

Oh I'd always misheard that as The Big Uddercrackers. Were my icebergs not admired on the sporting circuit then?

orphan · 05/06/2015 20:29

I've got a book recommendation ( yes, bugger me backwards as woof said to dear Ian on many an occasion I'm actually reading a real book.) It's made me titter and is so far (cos I haven't finished it yet) a really fun read. It's The Mysterious Miss Mayhew by Hazel Osmond and has some good comic lines worthy of woof herself. There's a good bit involving weeing in an inappropriate place.

KellyHb · 05/06/2015 21:11

Hi everyone. A newbie here! Yey, after months of reading these threads I finally got round to registering. I am a (its safe to say) huuuge OG fan and has to be said CJ/BA too. I'm still as obsessed as I was when the last episode went out in October. Soo glad I can talk to others about this as nobody I know liked this programme in slightly the same way I did.

Nickel45 · 05/06/2015 21:12

orph, a real book? That's pretty impressive! Sounds a good read. I am supposed to be reading Elizabeth is Missing, for a book club ... I've read two pages in the last two weeks! Luckily the book club mostly revolves around drinking and not talking about the book, so I should be ok!

Nickel45 · 05/06/2015 21:16

Hi kel glad you made it on here, and big welcome :)

pixieg1rl · 05/06/2015 21:32

Welcome Kel.

I bought a book this week. I might even read it sometime. Grin

Ilovelblue · 05/06/2015 21:33

Hello Kelly lovely to have a new recruit to join our mad happy band. It's also safe for me to say you are in good hands. Our admiration of CJ/BA is still as strong as it was in October. Have you been reading some of the amazing fanfiction (a great deal of it from posters on here)?

icemistOBE · 05/06/2015 21:35

Hi kel glad you made it over Smile

Hubby, me and sister went for drinks this evening. Sister is a bit drunk Grin

Free babysitting ice?

Nickel45 · 05/06/2015 22:03

Definite plus side to your mum coming ice :)

We're definitely still obsessed kel, but do diversify every so often ... mentioning no names, but where would we be without our dynamic duo?!!

Nickel45 · 05/06/2015 22:05

8 year old still awake .... Really ..... How bad of a mother would I be if I just went to bed anyway??? Think a small tiny pint of baileys might be called for ... must get some wine in.

KellyHb · 05/06/2015 22:05

Oh yes!!! I've absolutely adored the FF. Been reading them for so long and so I finally took the plunge and started to write my first one this week. There are so many talented OG writers. With having 3 small kids I'm hoping I'm not going to take too long to update.

Nickel45 · 05/06/2015 22:06

Baileys for me, not him, just to be clear before social services are called .... That would be bad parenting right??!!

Onlygirljen · 05/06/2015 22:07

Evening ladies! whaj that's some footage, can't believe the audible crack has been captured on video Grin

Hi to kelly! Glad you joined the madness Smile

Nickel45 · 05/06/2015 22:08

Loved your first chapter kel, so brave, I couldn't do it. Really looking forward to the next one, but how do you find time to write with three littlies?!

Onlygirljen · 05/06/2015 22:08

nick I've only just convinced my 8 year old to bed, and have been on the wine for a good few hours Smile
