given recent form, things look less than great for Nadal-but he likes the big stage and slams are a different beast to other tournaments.

So- new thread to talk ( mostly) about tennis- though it's not compulsory., and we all have different favourites and respect that others might not love our favourites as much as we do.

so...a week to go. May Murray be less tired, Rafa more confident , and a happy tournament be had by all.

Yes, didn't quite catch fire, Andy had him worked out from the get-go. Kyrgios needs some serious conditioning work or his body isn't going to stand up to it for long. He's really lacking in muscle and tone compared to many of the other players. Still, he's nobbut a bairn yet.

carobos- that sounds like Murray at the same age, he's really worked on his fitness over the years. I think these days, mere talent isn't enough.

Anyway, the Djok/Kokk match seems to be going the same way.

Maybe in 5 years, we will be discussing the Kyrgios/Kokkinakis rivalry, but not just yet.

Agree re Nick & conditioning. He's a funny one, seems to have plenty of trick shots, then seems to give up on trying to reach a ball.
