TENNIS Thread! The French Open is coming- will it be #RG10 for Rafa?

or number 1 for Djokovic?

given recent form, things look less than great for Nadal-but he likes the big stage and slams are a different beast to other tournaments.

So- new thread to talk ( mostly) about tennis- though it's not compulsory.Grin, and we all have different favourites and respect that others might not love our favourites as much as we do.

so...a week to go. May Murray be less tired, Rafa more confident , and a happy tournament be had by all.

Do they get 3 goes at having marks checked, like they get 3 hawkeye challenges? Or do they get as many as they like?

Yy, Drama. We had 2, girl & boy. Best dogs ever.

Mine were gorgeous. Smile

MrsVamos · 28/05/2015 17:13

As many as they like, Raahh. Cos umpires can decide to have a look & overrule a call. Or lack of.

DramaAlpaca · 28/05/2015 17:13

Oh they're lovely, so big & cuddly. My friend had one who used to play with our eldest springer, they were great pals.

MrsVamos · 28/05/2015 17:13

Heather's losing. Sad

MrsVamos · 28/05/2015 17:15

Yy, Drama. Girls are not so big, our boy was a big lad !

Raahh · 28/05/2015 17:16

Oh well. It would be great to have this go to 5, but I don't think it will.

Now, is this going the distance or not ? Who wants to call it ?

I know what Raahh wants. Wink

Raahh · 28/05/2015 17:18
Grin

what I want, and am going to get are probably different things. Sad

Patience is a virtue, Raahh. Grin

MrsVamos · 28/05/2015 17:19

Focus on the end result.

I BELIEVE

MrsVamos · 28/05/2015 17:20

Why must it end by 6:15 ? Dinner, walkies, training, kids club ? Or other ?

Raahh · 28/05/2015 17:21
Grin

Blimey this umpire will be fit. Grin

Are they implying hawk-eye wouldn't work on clay ?

Confused
Raahh · 28/05/2015 17:22

Puppy training.

Though at the moment the lazy mutt is fast asleep. 6.30 is not a good time for him.

Oh bolleaux.

OP posts:
Raahh · 28/05/2015 17:23

I'm not sure why it wouldn't work on clay. Confused

OP posts:
MrsVamos · 28/05/2015 17:25

Thought you'd say that. Smile

I know, dog training is silly times. That's when babies are having dinner and getting ready for bed. Should be earlier in the day really.

I've never taken any of mine to a club.

MrsVamos · 28/05/2015 17:26

Me either. Seemed a daft thing to say. Something about what if HE called a ball in but it was out ?

Headfuck. Grin

GrouchyKiwi · 28/05/2015 17:26

There's no reason it wouldn't work on clay.

Poor Heather. She doesn't look like she's moving easily with all that strapping. My husband's Aunt taught her at school and said she's lovely so I always wish her well..

MrsVamos · 28/05/2015 17:28

I like Heather. Seems quite grounded. Mind willing but body not, poor love.

Raahh · 28/05/2015 17:29

It has been pretty useful so far, the training. The people who run it really know their dogs. Although he is the dunce of the class Grin

OP posts:
MrsVamos · 28/05/2015 17:30

Poor Heather. Sad

Raahh · 28/05/2015 17:31

Poor Heather.

Not a bad opponent to lose to, though. Though I'm not too sure I like her, Stephens.

MrsVamos · 28/05/2015 17:32

Lol, Raahh. Poor Ike. Close his ears when you talk about him like that. He's just a babby. Grin

He might just want to learn in a fun way with just his Mummy. Not in a class with others watching. He might be embarrassed, and a bit shy.

MrsVamos · 28/05/2015 17:33

Murrays got this. Sousa's lost his mojo.
