given recent form, things look less than great for Nadal-but he likes the big stage and slams are a different beast to other tournaments.

So- new thread to talk ( mostly) about tennis- though it's not compulsory., and we all have different favourites and respect that others might not love our favourites as much as we do.

so...a week to go. May Murray be less tired, Rafa more confident , and a happy tournament be had by all.

By my reckoning, it means Rafa shouldn't meet anyone massively troublesome until Djok. Which is of course very troublesome. Maybe Grigor could go and cough on him, or something? He potentially could meet Almagro, Melzer, Robredo-all pretty nifty on clay, though. And Almagro did beat him last year.

But the way Rafa has been of late, playing Petchey might cause him a hiccup , so I hope the form he showed today continues.

Aargh I'm away for a couple of days and the thread goes crazy I've seen no tennis at all so far and am so tired I don't think I even have the energy to watch highlights.
