I thought this was brilliant. I'd never heard of Lisa Lynch before this. I thought the actors involved played it beautifully.

I lost my mum and my lovely mum in law exactly like this. It brought back lots of memories. The trying on of wigs. The overwhelming fear.

I wish I'd known of her sooner. I'm going to buy her book.

I agree. Now that I have stopped sobbing.

BlueMoonRoses · 03/05/2015 22:12

So sorry you lost your mum and mil this way.

Hassled · 03/05/2015 22:13

I am a snivelling wreck. Full on, wracking, sobs. I've been reading bits of her blog - an amazing woman. Sheridan Smith was as outstanding as she always is.

The80sweregreat · 03/05/2015 22:15

It was brilliant . Worth every penny of the licence fee.

The80sweregreat · 03/05/2015 22:17

Posted too soon. Am also crying, her family were so supportive. It was well done. She sounded such an inspiration to so many people.

girliefriend · 03/05/2015 22:22

Thought it was amazing, I am a community nurse and it reminded me of some of the women I have cared for over the years. Breast cancer is just fucking awful makes me Angry and Sad

Sheridan Smith is a fantastic actress.

SoupDragon · 03/05/2015 22:24

Gosh' that was hard work - and I mean that in a good way. Really well done.

PunkrockerGirl · 03/05/2015 22:24

It was excellent. Going through this with my brother at the moment so it was uncomfortable viewing at times, but I'm very glad I watched it.

bigTillyMint · 03/05/2015 22:40

Yes I thought this was really well done too. Loved Sheridan Smith and Paul Nicholls, but so, so sad.

Sympathies for all of you going through it or who have lost loved ones.

Mrsjayy · 03/05/2015 22:43

I love sheridan smith anyway but that was wonderful sobbed and laughed hadn't heard of Lisa before ive been reading some of her blog tonight

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 03/05/2015 22:44

I was reading about it online. Apparently Lisa tweeted Sheridan asking her to play the part. Sheridan's brother died from cancer in real life. Unfortunately Lisa died before filming finished. I was in absolute tears by the end.

It was brilliant.

Methe · 03/05/2015 22:47

It was hard going but brilliantly made. I've been reading Lisa's blog with tears in my eyes. She sounded like a wonderful person. 33 is no age is it :(

mumofthemonsters808 · 03/05/2015 22:50

Heartbreaking but I'm glad I watched it, I thought Sheridan Smith was excellent.

HesterShaw · 03/05/2015 22:50

So very sad that it has coincided with Rebecca Ellison's death at almost the same age.

What a total fucker of a disease it is.

ineedaholidaynow · 03/05/2015 22:54

Sobbed my way through it. It was very well done but so sad. Have just started looking at her blog. DF is going through cancer treatment at the moment, so a bit close to home. Cruel disease Sad

Bostinwench · 03/05/2015 22:55

Sat and sobbed through it -- it brought back so many memories of my treatment- my husband had to carry me out the bath once- not quite as elegantly as that tho - I had amazing family and friends as well - it was hard to watch as tho I am doing great noe - my mom and dad and darling husband have all died since. Sheridan Smith is amazing

Ziggyzoom · 03/05/2015 23:13

I thought it was fabulous and beautifully played. I'd just got myself together when I found this thread. Sending my thoughts to all those of you dealing with this horrible disease.

Philoslothy · 03/05/2015 23:15

It was beautiful, made me sob but was not excessively sentimental.

Corygal · 03/05/2015 23:18

Paul Nicholls was incredible as Pete. What an unforgettable performance, esp as he was playing second fiddle. My heart bled for him - such a lovely man, so beautifully played.

ladybird69 · 03/05/2015 23:22

I have no words x

Ziggyzoom · 03/05/2015 23:22

I thought that too Cory. Sheridan was brilliant, but his was a very nuanced and subtle, but strong performance.

NanaNina · 03/05/2015 23:25

Can't really add very much - agree with all the comments. I'm very limited where IT is concerned. How do I find Lisa's blog please?
